There was one particular perverted picture of Rosalina that I thought was cool, even though in reality I think Rosalina would be a bit too mature to do something so degrading.

I loved teasing both of my ex boyfriends with that one piece of fanart. >D

An then the conversation got really awkward.... :yuusaku:

Not sure what to say to that....

Er...Rosalina does come across as a very mature lady to me. Definitely better than Peach or Daisy and more Regal than both, probably because shes' basically been a mother to all the little star people for her life.

Yeah odds are there's that stuff for near-enough every significant Mario character somewhere on the internet.

Yeah, it's not so creepy. I find this less creepy then when I accidently stumbled across a lot of vulger Sonic the Hedgehog porn.

Now...how do we get back on topic?

When I was played Mario Party 1 once. I was at the DK jungle and me and the npcs kept on activating the boulder trap, so none of us got a star. Still, I laughed hard and my brother found it amusing as well, he was singing Welcome to the Jungle while I was playing. xD

And when I was younger I raced on a Mario Kart 64 court that had Peach's castle in it. I seriously thought I had to drive inside the castle. ^^; When I drove toward the castle and crashed against the door, i was disappointed.

Ok, this is weird, I go on Super Mario Wiki to search for Daisy and I find out things like, obviously Luigi and Daisy are love interests, but at one point it was revealed that Waluigi had a crush on Daisy and Peach and Daisy are cousins.

In what game was this revealed? That is kind of weird... and neither Waluigi nor Daisy are in many games.

I'm pretty sure I'd heard about the cousin thing before, though that Waluigi thing just sounds like fancanon. Possibly because they both play defensively at football but I can't really think of ANYTHING that really connects them.

Speaking of football, I utterly detest Peach in the Smash Football Game, she goes from modest regal princess to stuck up Paris-Hilton wannabe. I suppose the competitive nature of the sport brings out the worst in her.

Does anyone know if a Mario Kart game is being made for the Wii U? I know one will come out eventually, but is it being made now?

I hope it is. I can't wait to play it again. I didn't like the game for the DS and I haven't played Mario Kart for the 3DS yet. I want to get it, but I would like to know if it's better than Mario Kart for the DS.

I thinks it's become more popular since it came out. More people have played it and it is quite well known now. Besides, it's an amazing game- it deserves a good sequel.

I don't think it's that it wasn't received well so much as it was a sleeper hit. In later years it's basically a cult classic now.

I love the mario games :edgy: the 64 has always been my favorite one. My mother and little brother are huge fans, we have most of the games I think and I've met the voice actor at a convention before, he was a pretty down to earth guy.

I'm not saying I dislike Peach, but Princess Rosalina was much more fleshed out than Peach.

Daisy I want in an actual Mario game...Waluigi, not at all. But Waluigi was in the Dance Dance Revolution Mario game.

Edit: And thank you Gnobo :3

Yeah well they make perverted pictures if every character don't see why that should make them hate Rosalina. Though in the interest of equality I'll point out that I think female artists draw porn too.
I quite liked Rosalina as a character she was touching, feminine and at the same time competent and wise unlike Peach who is just a damsel in distress.

Though why they decided she should have ice powers I do not know...but they attributed her track in Mario Kart 7 as an Ice place.

Technically Daisy has been the main princess in Super Mario Land already on the GB. Totally snubbed Mario's rescue by hooking up with Luigi afterwards but hey it had great music.

Of course people draw porn regardless of the gender. This reason to hate on the character doesn't make you look like a better person either quite the opposite, a pretty ignorant one. Don't like it then don't look at it, don't place your hate on the character when they're not at fault. There are plenty of filters to block mature content-or someone's blog depending where you are-anyway, this only looks like a lousy excuse to use as a reason.

My brother bought it today. I would love to give my two cents on it but my brother is the one who bought it and he'll be in his bedroom for awhile playing it.

I could always ask him if he finished Paper Mario: Sticker Star. I'm a bit skeptical to play it though since I heard it sucks.

I'm planning on buying it when I finish Virtue's Last Reward. I'm really looking forward to it, although I heard that the game is mission based. I really liked the on going story in the first game, so I hope all the missions are linked. Otherwise I'm worried I'll find it a little tedious.

I found my old Nintendo 64 today. ^^ Along with Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64. I've really been enjoying both, although I played Super Mario more. So much nostalgia. I love both games so much.

It's mission-based because that format is more appropriate for a handheld platform. I can't say how it all goes but the plot is something about rebuilding the titular 'Dark Moon". From what I've seen there's a level where a squad of Red Ghosts steal a bunch of gears preventing access to the next room of the house and so you have to explore and do the whole ghost busting thing to retake all the gears but the ghosts had damaged them slightly so they don't work. E Gadd has you jump out of the mansion so he can fix the crank mechanic so you can advance in the building. Hence next level.

I honestly wouldn't bother, that game felt like a major let down as a Paper Mario game. I couldn't even find the motivation to want to finish it. It just feels very bland. I honestly feel it would have been a much better game if they had stuck with what they originally had, the traditional Paper Mario feel with partners. I'll be honest, I didn't even feel the dialogue could keep me hooked this time around as it did with Super Paper Mario. The only good thing I can find with this game is its music.

Personally, I'd love to see another game akin to Thousand Year Door, but with ways to try to improve on that. It was my favorite of the Paper Mario series with a fun and engaging battle system and the chapters were just so much fun to play through. It's really a terrible shame that this little series feels as if it's spiraling downwards. Then again, maybe I just didn't enjoy the game because I had my expectations set high, but that's what I tend to do when Nintendo brings out a series I genuinely like. Heck, even though I didn't care much for Super Paper Mario, I was at least able to find more appeal and motivation in that entry than I can in Sticker Star. Heck, from what I played, not once did I even see the main villain again for a long time after the intro. So... what's my motivation for going after him? He wrecked a party?

I really liked Super Paper Mario had a real interesting mechanic and even though it wasn't an RPG and a radical change from the others I was real happy about it. Story was good, getting to play as multiple characters was fun and the villains were pretty great too.

What makes Sticker Star so bad?

My expectations for Sticker Star are low currently. But it's an automatic minus for me that there are no traditional partners.

The Thousand Year Door is my favorite as well, but I try not to overhype it because I don't think Super Paper Mario is the worst game ever. Super Paper Mario had a touching story and I wanted to cry at some points, and Tippi is one of my favorite characters.

Sticker Star is awful. I'll copy and paste my rant on why it's so bad here:

1) Lack of funny or witty dialogue. You know, the bread and butter of Paper Mario games. I may not have liked Super Paper Mario, but I can at least say that the dialogue was still pretty good, despite my distaste of the gameplay.
2) Obtuse puzzles. Basically boss fights are like this: Let's randomly throw in an enemy, give no hints about what sticker to use to beat them, GOOD LUCK!
3) Emphasis on avoiding fights: There's absolutely no need to fight any enemies in this game. They don't give badges when they die (and even if they do, you're probably using up more badges to beat them than what you're collecting), you don't get EXP, and... basically, all enemies do in this game are to make you lose health.
4) Boring enemies, characters, and level designs: Let's strip out all the interesting characters, and replace EVERYTHING with Generic Toads! Also, new enemies? Screw that, let's just put GOOMBAS or KOOPA TROOPAS or MARIO ENEMIES WE'VE SEEN BEFORE instead! And let's use generic designs we've seen before for levels! And while we're doing that, let's get rid of DIALOGUE! Because, who needs that anyways? We'll just make Bowser GRUNT EVERYTHING instead!

Those are my reasons for disliking Sticker Star. It's not even about the gameplay changes (the sticker combat was pretty interesting, actually). It's just its implementation, as well as the removal of core Paper Mario features that just makes this game soulless, bland, and made me quit pretty soon in the game because I just felt like "**** it, why am I even playing this anymore?"

Thousand Year Door was the best PM game I played as a kid. My copy of the first game went poop, so I never finished it. Super Paper Mario was a fun platformer, but since it removed the RPG elements that made the past Paper Mario games fun as hell it doesn't score as high.

Thousand Year Door is the best one I feel on the Gamecube. I would recommend however if you want to play multiple games in the series, I'd start with Paper Mario on the N64 for a few reasons. It's a very solid game, witty dialogue, great music. The only thing, the battle system isn't as up to par as TYD, but it's still great. I'd just suggest going to this one first instead of TYD so you won't go back to the N64 version and feel turned off because the battle system won't feel as refined, because it is a good game.

However, you want to pick just one, definitely go with Thousand Year Door.

Super Paper Mario is good too if you're looking for more of a platformer. I'll admit the game isn't my favorite, but it still has the great witty dialogue, great music, and fun characters. Just for me, the core game play got a little stale after a while because it constantly felt like the same thing. It's not a bad game by any means, it just doesn't feel up to par with the first two, but it's still a game worth checking out nonetheless.

Also, there really is no continuity between the games aside from the cameos and references, so it's really nothing worth missing with where you start.

Just don't go for the 3DS version by any means. That one is just plain terrible. They pretty much gutted out anything that made Paper Mario a fun game and left it bland and tasteless.

I would go in this order:

Original Paper Mario -> Thousand Year Door

Maybe, if you want to, play Super Paper Mario.

I say play the original before Thousand Year Door (TTYD) because if you play TTYD before playing the original, you'll be trying to superguard things in the original or you'll have slightly off timings (the original game is much more strict for timings than TTYD was. It took me forever to get the timing for jumping down pat.) Also, because you'll appreciate TTYD more if you play the original first.

Now I know why I can't really enjoy the original Paper Mario. Thousand Year Door had (dare I say the P word) perfect controls to me. Nothing glitchy or tedious and the controls put me on the edge of my seat during rpg battling.

If you're looking for RPG Mario's you should check out the Mario and Luigi series on GBA and DS along with the original Super Mario RPG.

That last one I've not beat yet shamefully XP

I'm a bit the same, I got to the forest and the puppet party member and I had to pause, I think some of the music bugged me. It's a shame as I think it must get better and I probably just found a new game that distracted me entirely.

My brother did tell me that in this RPG there is no level up system and the only benefit from rpg battling is getting more HP points.
