a) Final Fantasy VII is a terrible game, anyone who possessed common sense, didn't bother playing that far.
b) It's one of the funniest cutscenes I've ever seen, how is something supposed to be dramatic when whoever is viewing the scene is bursting with laughter?
This begs the question: Did you play the game when it came out or years later after having been spoiled by ignorant Internet users?
No matter how much you are spoiled to a scene, it should have the same emotional impact if it's properly done. I'm sorry to say, but that death scene was arguably the worst I've seen myself.
I didn't want to agree with Gears's post because of how damn stupid it was, but Hatman's wording works.

If anything, it would have to be Cubone's mother in the first Pokemon games. I was maybe seven and it was my first videogame, so that was a big 'what the hell?' moment.
I get kinda sad at the end of any long game though.

Seriously, I loathe FFVII and what it stands for, but there were better moments in that game than Aeris' death.

I suppose it's just the music fits so well in it. And well.....she was the last of her race. Yes, Sephiroth is badass but I suppose it was the irony that kinda set the mood.

um...there isnt really a strategy unless you hit level 20 and cant go any further THEN you have to worry about strategy (Beat Sacred Stones that way *squee*)

Poo on strategy. Actually, I do fare well mostly, but there are a few times where I accidentally leave a healer or something open to attack because my mind is elsewhere in the battle.
