I'm getting UtK2 on Monday. I just have a question. Is there any new GUILT I should know about?

There's four new ones:

Nous, which is pathetically easy - you basically just have to excise a bunch of mini-tumors in the right order.
Bythos, which warps around a lot and does a ton of vital damage
Sige, which is... well... GOD MOMMY PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME PLAY SIGE AGAIN D: seriously you have to like blow into the mic to beat it, shit's crazy
And Aletheia, which is basically all the other GUILT thrown at you at once for the finale.
Hi! I've largely stepped back from C-R due to life stuff. Please contact one of the other staff members for help!

I suck at naming all the new GUILT. You can quiz me on the original 7 and I'll shoot out answers, but ask me about any GUILT besides Alethia in UtK2 and I'll go like, "............. which one was it again?"

*revelation* AHA! SIGE! That's what that strain was called! Call me wierd, but I actually love this operation. Besides Alethia, one of the few operations in the game that gets my adrenaline pumping so fast I feel like imploding is Sige. Honestly, I don't really have a clue why. I'm guessing it's because I have fun blowing into the mic (GET YOUR MIND OUT OF THE GUTTER PEOPLE).... I tend to spit on the screen though O.o

On a different subject, it took me forever to figure out Derek's name had puns in it (I think I found out on Wikipedia... I'm ashamed). For those of you who are currently as clueless as I was, I'm gonna point out the obvious: (Stiles= sounds very similar to Sylus; initials= D.S. *cough cough*). In a way, I kind of understood the complaints people had about putting the game on the Wii, but I still wuv the Wii games for it. <3 I'm gonna shut up before I post a freakin' novel here.

Finished New Blood~! It was pretty cool, I mean I loved some of these operations and 2 player co-op was amazing, but the story was a bit... meh. Although I liked how they talked and stuff, I kind of missed the whole "read at your own pace" thing because I like to do that "say the lines in an epic voice" and "give everything a double meaning" thing. ;D Then again, I can always turn the voices off, so I don't really have much of a complaint with that. HOWEVER...
Spoiler: New Blood Plot random thoughts
Dereeeeeeeeeeeeeek... ;_; he kind of frightens me. I mean, is it just me or are his glasses even thicker? WTF HAPPENED TO HIS HAIR?! DIDHEFORGETTOSHAVEasldkfjsa;dlfjsa;lfh-- I'm actually getting used to how he looks like now, but trust me, I freaked out when I saw him. Bu his voice is still awesome...
... ANGIE'S A ROBOT. Nuff said.

And Cardia's pretty easy and I barely took notice of the operation music... the soundtrack disappointed me for some parts...
OH I just noticed *just played Challenge 4* VICTOR GOT MENTIONED!!! <3

bah, my rant-ness is over. I'm gonna buy the actual game anyways just cuz of the 2 player and the X-missions.

Nice he did a remake Awesome Center for SO! I hope he makes one for NB!

I just finished 7-2 I think it was the one where you operate on three people. I did it on easy though without using HT.

I got my first S rank on the first Stigma operation you face. I completed it on normal.

Right now I am stuck in the Pempti mission in UTK2! When it splits in two the last one kills me!! :grey:

That took me a bit to figure out. When there's two of them, make sure you split the amount of time lasering each evenly. They both have seperate "health meters", so if you divide your attention between them, when one dies, the other is almost dead as well.

freakin Pempti still kills me on X-3... but that's because I get so panicked I forget to count XP so the remaining one has a lot more health... and you know those little pink bodies that pop out and cause lacerations? when it freaks out, I can never seem to spot them in time, so they make tons of lacerations, and I either:
A) Ignore them and hope that Pempti dies from my lasers, which it doesn't, so my patient dies
B) Try to suture them, and in that time the lacerations appear again, the vitals go down, patient dies, I throw my DS against the wall in anger, brood, etc.

any tips on lasering all the suckers and keeping the vitals in check? O.o

Well:

1.) I started playing NB today... And I suck. I haven't played a Wii-based TC in a long time. My hands get shaky. But I made it through Chapter 1 with no problems. (Mostly B's though)

2.) Pempti? Well, not really any advice I could give you. If you just want to pass, I'd say use the HT. But if you're an XS Perfectionist, I can't help you there.

I prefer UtK2 over the original since the controls are easier, the graphics are better & it really feels like a true sequel to the first one well, 'cos it is lol

Just finished playing the first one and I absolutly LOVED it. Definatly one of my fave DS games. I felt the ending was a tad disappointing, but then again there seems to be more explaination to it in the X missions so...
I definatly will get Under the Knife 2 when I have the money (don't know if it's even out over here yet but still...) as well as Second Op (I know it's a Wiimake, but I don't care :P).
Does anyone else feel like going up to Dr. Niguel and saying "Why so serious?" or is that just me? Am I just insane? Well... yes, but that's not the point!
Overall I thought it was a good game, though it could be a tad tricky at times... or maybe I just sucked at it. But it was a very fun game with a great plot. On top of all that, Angie Thompson is HAWT! XD
Oh, I wrote a review of the game on my DA account, if anyone would care to take a look :P
I'm not coming back. I'm done with this fanbase. You're all up-tight, nit-picking, hypocrites who are TERRIFIED of change. Getting banned just for standing up for myself... I'm never coming back. Goodbye forever you brats.

HELL YES.

The controls and such are a bit different, and the look (graphics) is a bit better. (Better meaning more detailed than usual). I only finished Chapter 1, but it's still awesome.

I'd say it's worth buying for the replay value, and the fact that New Blood has the most variety of operations that I've seen on any Trauma Center game. Although operating is basically the same as Second Opinion, the 2 player co-op really keeps things interesting (though if you're as awesome as my brother and I, the story may seem too easy for you and you might wanna bump it up a few difficulties :hobohodo: )... some surgeries are HELL to operate on by yourself, since they're practically designed for 2 players (I'm lookin at you, Challenge 4 >:[ )
But besides the fact that the new main characters are different and the story is more realistic (I kinda liked the sci-fi feel of Derek's storyline better... I dunno, it seemed a bit too serious in this one), but I definitely recommend it for the gameplay. =D

:stiles: : :gotcha:

I FINALLY, FINALLY BEAT MOTHER OF SIN ON HARD MODE.

And with an A rank, no less. Damned Bythos don't know 'bout my lasering all of 'em.

:acro: I feel accomplished. You're next, X-1! (Screw the other Hard operations I skipped - I hate 'em.)

EDIT: Actually, I just beat X-1 half an hour ago. :udgy: Apparently cutting all the Kyriaki so they're above the surface and then spamming the antibiotic gel helps when you need to raise vitals... I guess it also helps I kind of ignored vitals on the last stretch of the Queen, after the third blow or so. (Though I only completed with >30 seconds left, so...)

But now X-2 sucks. I can never inject the last Tetarti in time before I get a miss and it goes away. Plus, keeping an eye on the vitals sucks. Any tips?

EDIT2: Never mind, beat that one too. Pempti time. Ugh.

In order: (Please note, the below spoiler tag has spoilers from ONLY UtK and UtK2. I have not competed NB)

Spoiler:
1. Reina Mayuzumi (UtK2): She's greedy, she's a narcississist, AND she used Mecer to fufill her own ambitions of staying young forever. Yep, nothing diabolical about that.
2. Adam (UtK/SO): The evil overlord of GUILT. He at least had a motive to do all this. Albeit a crazed and sick one, but at least he had a goal that he truly believed would help man-kind.
3. Patrick Mercer (UtK2): Let's face it. He did ALL of it FOR HIS COMATOSE WIFE. He's definately on the list, but he died soon after getting shot in the heart and there was no way to save him. (And we never took a bullet out of someone's heart before < _< )
4. Delphi Peon (UtK2): This guy looks bizarre. That's a crime unto itself. But He's just doing what Raiteneau wants him too.
5. Heinrich von Raiteneau (UtK): He's just copying his Grandfather's ideals. nothing really special here.

ok, it's the weekend, therefore I now have enough brain cells to think about this stuff. Here's my list:
Spoiler: ALL TRAUMA CENTER GAMES
1. Adam- This is the dude who started it all. Despite how twisted his teachings were, in a way I could see what he was talking about and... that kind of creeped me out (zomg tempted by the dark side O.o). Plus he had whitish silvery hair, so he can categorize himself with other white-haired baddies... XD

2. Heinrich von Raiteneau (spl?) and his minions- At first I just took him as an extremist who was all like, "OMG I WANNA B LYKE A-DUHM!" But in a way I kind of liked his psychopathic look and his eyeballs are quite... big. His minions were odd, and I still don't know their gender, but I thought it was kind of cool that he had so much power at his disposal, even though he didn't appear as well thought out of a villian as Adam.

3. Reina Mayuzumi- All that fuss over her stupid looks. One thing that confused me was... did Neo-GUILT work like a fountain of youth or something? I mean, I didn't get how Mayuzumi was using GUILT to stay young the whole time, and that was undetected by the doctors the first time we operated on her just cuz she had another strain of GUILT in her... I'll shut up now about that cuz I'm confusing myself. In short, I kinda liked how she pulled the strings of a big company to put on the facade of the good guys when they were really researching GUILT.

4. Patrick Mercer- This guy was kind of more in a grey area for me, since he was only going to desperate measures to save his wife. Of course, I think he's an idiot for doing so since all he did was kill a bunch of people for research on something that would only endanger her, but I do understand his reasoning... for the most part. :yogi:

5. Master Vakhushti- Ok, this guy just kind of confused me. Referring to my hippie comment earlier on, when this guy talks, I feel like I can see an old car from the 70s painted with psychadelic flowers with drugs stashed in hidden compartments. I felt woozy just hearing him talk. XD BUT considering the whole "stigma controls your mind, man!" thing, I guess it's understandable, and he's not really much of a villian in my opinion (because I can't even remember what led up to him being the final patient even though I just played the game last week) but yeah, I just couldn't take him seriously.

... yeah, I know I'm probably missing some, but I can't seem to think back to some of the games, so I guess my brain hasn't fully recovered from school...ness.

In actuallity, UtK2 is MUCH easier than UtK/SO.

However, the graphics are similar to the Wii version: Second Opinion.

So yeah, this game is awesome.

Game Informer gave UTK2 an 8.5! ^_^ I'm so happy!!!

@Ayasato: Well, you could always make the difficulty harder. :P But then again, I'm a wuss. I beat UTK1 by the skin of my teeth and I'm too chicken to try the X missions.... So I'm not even thinking about touching the Hard mode button on UTK2. XDDD

How hard is Hard mode on UTK 2 anyway?

Well..... Other than Bythos being a bastard and Sige being a spring-loaded ball...

Fine.

(But I advise you stay away from the X missions unless you want your hands to fall off.)

And: I BEAT ALL THE X-MISSIONS! I GOT A STAR!!!!

Shiny..... :D
