Also, wasn't he an important person in the beginning? Like the minister secretary? Might I remember you these rumors of Holland and Obama affairs that everybody (ok medias) made a big deal about?

No, I don't know about that cause I live in Germany. And I don't even know of any big rumors or affairs going on in Germany because I don't care about that stuff. I don't understand why people SHOULD care that somebody has supposedly slept or gotten into a relationship with someone else.

I'm starting to think it's more your inability to understand people that's the problem here...

I don't really see the point in gossip either but yeah I get other folks show an interest in it not everyone is exactly like you and me. I'm not gonna get mad that I didn't have an opportunity to corner one of the random people off the street in Persona 4 and ask them what their personal stake is in it.

It's news, people care about other people and media events.

Well I am asocial and already have trouble understanding people, even being uncomfortable in a group of people I know that is larger than 4, including me, so... I just don't overall understand why Inaba would get this obsessed about it. Can't they just go back to hating Junes, making thinking of combining with it, so that their family owned stores won't close down?

When someone is the pride the town and turn out to be a jerk, in my head of course people will talk about it. Also, people normally use gossip to distract them of the boring life... Think about how some people (not only teen my mother is the evidence of that) that litteraly eat celebrities gossip and drama.

I wouldn't say cheating on your lover makes you a jerk (well, technically, I would but not the kind that I'd simply gossip about, but the kind that I'd punch in the genitals~) but how can Inaba really complain about a boring life... again, they are currently under threat of THE EVILS THAT IS THE JUNES MART so wouldn't that be something to talk about on length?

Yeah I'm sure they talk about that as well...not like they are limited to one or the other. Besides I'm sure after you'd punched the cheating lover in the genitals you'd probably go on an rant about it to someone, a mother or a close friend, that's how gossip begins.

Nope. I wouldn't vent to a friend or relative about that, somehow working through my emotions with someone else. I'm angry at him, I'd let him get the full force of things.

But it would make more sense to be focused on Junes, something that directly affects them, than someone's affair... I mean, if the affair isn't with you or an extremely close relative, ...who cares.

Yeah...but like I said people can care about more than one thing at a time. The game gets across both that people gossip about Naratame and the Midnight channel and all sorts of stuff in the town with Junes being more an ongoing thing.

People care when public figures previously thought to be upstanding citizens are shown up. There could be a whole long essay on why people care about gossip.

Just watched an Extra Credits video on youtube and they used the example of Kanji to explain how video game could benefit if there was more sexual diversity and how it really brought depth on Kanji and Naoto. I find it interesting. Though I think people like them more because he's such a dumb/badass and she's the stereotype of the strong women. But I wondered, if I was the only one who thougth that.

I dunno, I never thought it was that heavily hinted that Kanji's problem was his sexuality. More like that he was afraid of nobody accepting him as a guy with just these "feminine" hobbies. He never struck me as homosexual to begin with, regardless of his potential interest in Naoto. For one, because Naoto was obviously... not a problem. For another, hobbies does not indicate sexuality.

I'd say it's still an intentionally open subject for debate. They left it ambiguous.

On one hand, there's little doubt what his Shadow implies.

On the other hand Shadows are hyper-reactions of what the character fears, if Kanji fears his hobbies making him 'unmanly' and girls teasing him then the exaggeration of that would be his Shadow.

Though apparently amongst the staff Troy Baker definitely thought he was gay as he said at a convention sometime.

Either way I still think Kanji is an enjoyable character, doesn't really matter what his issue is.

Yo Yo Yo

So for me the most exciting upcoming release is that Persona Q crossover and I found two shiny new trailers (least far as I can see) that show a bit of each 'sides' perspective on the matter.

The Investigation Team's take on the matter.

The SEES get in on the action.

Course it all looks like great fun, plenty of the hilarious comedy and from what I'd guess an "Alice in Wonderland" themed part.

Damn man upon further investigation it seems there's plenty more information out there about the game for those lucky people over in Japan so I suggest you just hit up youtube for it. Seems like there's character introductions and a mention on a Nintendo Direct.

Also if this is all old news I'm BEARY sorry :sadshoe:

Well the trailer itself is pretty old, but now we have subtitles which is great! Still unfortunate that there is no voice over, but at least I can enjoy the music.

I haven't seen these.

Dude, this game just got waaaay better. When Aki and Shinji shrunk down and started beating the shit outta each other, I lost it.

Dammit, now there's 3 consoles I need now!

Vita: Persona 1-4, DaN

3DS: PersonaQ

PS3: Persona 5, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Super Hold

But I guess I can skip the Vita because I can get 1 and 2 on PSN, and 3 and 4 I can just play on my PS2.

I don't know if this was from Persona but I never understood that to summon your what its called the character has to shoot himself in the head. Wouldn't the character die from that?

If I remember right it's to do with scaring your brain into thinking you're about to die, which summons the Persona.. Or something?

This is exactly how I feel about Kanji's character as well. Like Pierre said though, and what I think makes Kanji the most interesting character, is that he is very open for interpretation. Although I will say, in my opinion, Golden's added scenes definitely makes Kanji seem less homosexual and more like he's just misunderstood.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

In Persona 3, they use these not-quite-real handguns and call them Evokers. I don't know if they are magic or just guns that aren't loaded... In Persona 3, they needed to get into a state of absolute panic/dread/mental stress to summon their Persona - which a shot to the head, with most people getting fatal injuries from these, would bring them. It's how they "controlled" their persona.
Unlike Persona 4, where they accepted their other self, and hence gained control over it entirely.

Of course, we can also say it's just one of Persona 3's MORE ADDED FEATURE of how dark and edgy the game is.

When you know that their first idea involved people stabing/ cutting themselves (okay I exagerate once again, they thought about using kinves), the gun make it look more awsome and less gloomy and emo.

Weirdly enough this was this summoning sequence that made me into that serie. I was curious and thought it was cool (not shooting himself but having the guts to show that.)
