Amongst friends it should just be a fun game, I'm perfectly happy slapping the button on random then laughing with me mates when I get someone crap like Lucas or Jigglypuff.

I normally go random stage but if I wanna play as someone specific it's normally Luigi, Snake or Ganondorf (cause I wuv that big hunk of muscle).
I still normally win on absolute random though so me and my mate go 'jousting' where we go on Final Destination set 5 lives and 300% damage.
Then it becomes a good deal fairer.

EDIT: Actual game report, fixed errors.
Game#1: Marth (Taffy) vs. Toon Link (Justis) . 0 to 0, damage given 98 to 95. Draw; ended prematurely.
Game#2: Marth (Taffy) vs. Regular Link (Justis) . 2 to -2. Damage given 500 to 300 something. Taffy's victory.
Game#3: (This one I forgot about) Marth (Taffy) vs. Kirby (Justis) . 4 to -4. Damage given 600 something to 200 something. Taffy's victory.
Game#4: (This was my showcase round) Ike (Taffy) vs. Marth (Justis). 1 to -1. Damage forgotten (sorry!). Anyways, I did nothing but spam Ike's aether and his side smash. Like I said, it was my joke round. Lol. Taffy's victory nonetheless. It was to prove how cheap Ike's aether is if you spam it.
Looking forward to a rematch!

1st game. Tied: ended prematurely.
2nd game: Taffy wins legit. Marth beats Link 600 percent damage to 200 percent (and by a lot of points too).
Third game: Taffy wins. I did nothing but spam Ike's aether and his smash attacks. See how cheap the aether is?
I felt bad once online.
Went random and got Ike, Meta Knight and Pit consecutively, gonna give folk the wrong idea about how I play.
And sure his Aether can be cheap he's still fun to play as

EDIT: By the way, the Marth v Link match wasn't the blowout victory. Link should have the upper hand against Marth with his plethora of ranged attacks that can put Marth's close range inhibitions to shame. It's not that I was cheap. It's that you just didn't beat me.

Yeah, the link match definitely didn't epitomize my career. I was planning to completely perfect you. You do realize that Link has a terribly conspicuous advantage against Marth, right? Link has ranged attacks. Marth doesn't. Link should win.

OK, awesome thing of the day: I was playing as Toon Link on Pokemon Stadium 2, and we were on the air field, where the gravity is messed up. So I toss a bomb up at Donkey Kong, who's flying around, but I miss, and the bomb goes up into limbo. I then hop up and launch DK up into the air, where he very conveniently hits my bomb, launching him back towards me, where I hit him up again, killing him. I also took away Olimar's last life on the Pikmin level by grabbing him and tossing him into the mouth of the ladybug-like creature, making me laugh pretty hard. I love that crunch sound it makes when it eats somebody.
