The best part abou making stages is for the lulz. So just make one that looks really funny, spikes must be included. Also stages where people can get stuck or unable to recover is always good.
And when playing against only computers, you must make a small platform where only you can get to and taunt constantly.

I made mine with a big drop between two cliffs. Awesome for someone who's great at wall jumping or someone who has a meteor smash that just sends them to oblivion.

It is annoying make a big stage, with several parts, that demands a lot of "pieces".
Anyway, I like the original Brawl stages better.

It's easier to build a good stage if you have a specific type of match you're interested in. For example, a small stage with high walls is great for coin matches or bomb-only battles.
Still it's fun just to go into the stage creator and play around until something works. I once made a stage that was nothing but two large walls with a grid of ice blocks and an ice floor in between; since characters can't grab and climb onto the ice blocks, and they slide around like crazy on the floor, it's very easy to reach 800% damage and go flying through the ice blocks, twisting and turning before slamming into a wall or the floor.

The service stopped accepting new stages/snapshots/replays etc. some time ago, as seen on the Smash Bros site here. Since the service is still sending out new stuff, I'm guessing that they got enough submissions to last for some time.

Yeah, you either have to play VS. mode for 20 hours or play 700 matches (although I doubt you can do the former without doing the latter).
But the 20 hours of play is relative to the number of players, so one suggestion is to plug in 4 controllers, start a match, then leave it on for 5 hours and beat the match. Mewtwo should challenge you.

To unlock Mewtwo, you can either play in Vs. Mode for 20 hours or play 700 matches. Playing with other people makes the time feel faster. Then of course, defeat him and he will be back in your roster!

No, I wasnt. I was going to say, that after playing Melee for soo long, Brawl just didnt have the same charm. I do, however, favor the new characters... (1 more than the others...) But aside from that, I didnt seem as interested in it. (Now if we go back to the 64...)

So how many challenges do you guys think you've completed? I've probably done around 40% of them, I have a tendency to just get things done as soon as possible, so I usually do things on the easy difficulty unless I really want to challenge myself, so I'm missing most of the achievements that require me to do things on hard difficulty. It's not that I can't do them, I'm just too lazy to.
