There really needs to be a better server, or a mirror for Steam. It took me two days to download TF2. And at any given moment, it would drop from a nice 600 kb/s to 8. EIGHT. But I digress.
Anyways, I'm a Pyro, since I have pretty bad lag. It's easier that way.

My favorite class is Spy

that feel when a successful backstab, or holding the sentries while reinforcements arrive.

but my most played class are engineer and pyro, because most of the time people are snipers, and it doesn't help much.

So it's a shame I can't play as my favorite class that much.

I play with Medic, Pyro, Engi and Spy. It really comes down to what the team needs. Thats the best way to play it.

At first I only some what used pyro but then I learned that the air blast is the most awesome weapon and then I clocked up a huge amount of time with him

Dammit I hate snipers. I'm building shit, when BAM! I have to watch my killer reload, aim, and kill me when *cautiously* exit the spawn.

Speaking of pyros and spies, I suppose you guys have heard of the flame resistant spy suit?

it was on the beta or something, it could be in a future update
my guess it's that it will be on the Pyro update, when we get "Meet the Pyro", maybe in another year.

Also, do you guys have free accounts or not?

I've started to really get into playing the Engineer and despite me being crap as the Spy, I somehow have more play time as him than anyone.

"Your Eternal Reward" and "The Quick-Fix"

Yesterday was pretty frustrating, I always got in the losing teams.
the most frustrating one would be on ctf_well

I was the only engineer, the rest where scouts or snipers.
All of the red team (heavies, medics, demonmen, engineers) were on their base, protecting the intel

All it took was a single demo to destroy my sentry and take the intel three times.

truly a frustrating day

on the bright side, I got lots of weapons, some new, some I already have, and I got a hat for the medic

That hat is the most amazing addition to the Medic out there. If you have either the summer shades or the procedure mask, wear them with it and you become the coolest looking class in the game. No joke.

Well I have the summer shades, but not the mask.

And scratch the Quick-Fix, I got it from a trade.

The pyro has already gotten updated.

Im not sure if it will be officially released at all. I mean, the dropped it and there has been years worth of updates they could have released it on that they chose not to.
I think for what ever reason it just wasn't working and they decided to just not add it. :yuusaku:

Plus I cant help but think that that would make the spys overpowered.

Man... I want to play Vs Saxton so badly right now, only my hard drive decided take a shit, after some odd behavior, bad sectors I'm guessing.

Though I'm glad I backed up TF2 on some DVDs, the only thing that will be a pain is downloading all the custom maps I already had before. I hope Western Digital ships my replacement HD soon.

Oh Hat Fortress 2. If only I could keep my scrap long enough to be able to craft hats. Image

It's also hard for me to play it anymore, since it's gotten into the habit of crashing every ten minutes or so. Irritates me more than a good spy.

I hate to say that the new items look interesting. As a Sniper I really want to try the Machina, the new Spy gun sounds pretty cool, Both engi weapons I'm interested in, but sound pretty risky to me. Any thoughts?

Also the new Sniper crate. This may be the first time I'll actually use a crate. A chance for Strange Jarate, Rifle, Sydney Sleeper, and bushwacka, plus a chance for the Veil and Robin Hood hat. Considering Strange weapons are pretty valuable and both hats would be like $7.50 in the store this seems worth $2.50. Plus the miniscule chance for an unusual.

I do not plan to ever purchase anything from the Mann co. store. One reason being that I don't have a credit card that I can acutally buy this stuff with (I have to have my brother buy games through his steam account then gift them to me), but pretty much everything in the store is priced much higher than what I believe they're worth. So if I want something, I usually just wait for items to drop, then craft it. It's worked well for me so far. And a lot of the things I couldn't craft right away I ended up not really wanting much after a while, so I was glad I didn't spend money on it.

I think it does, that is if I were to submit to Valve, but I doubt they'll use it so I won't bother. I'd provide a download link, but it still has a lot of issues, the jigglebones on the back wing clip through the Scout's body, the texture has little pink blotches and the Yatagarasu badge & the front wing are still in the works.

It's kinda hard to find, no updates, apparently bad on PS3, is anyone one anymore?, and I'm not paying $30 to play a F2P game (I don't care about HL2 until I play HL1)

I love how Valve always puts unique achievements into their games.

One of the achievements in this is "Cause a dominated player to leave the server"... In other words, "Make somebody rage quit."

I just found out about scrap banking

WHY DIDN'T I ASK SOONER?

It's such a great service, the scrap bankers are so nice
I thought you gave them your scraps to save, so I thought it wouldn't be safe.

Then the scrap banker explained it

Thanks to that I could buy a Genuine Pip-Boy

And for those who don't know: you give them two random weps, they give you a scrap. Simple like that. It's for those times when you have lots of weps, but can't craft them because they aren't of the same class.

Also I've started a new quest: Rank up in the server I frequent.
first time I checked I was on #25, now I'm on #22

My goal is to reach the top 10
http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/ ... p_players/
Although having a high rank doesn't mean you're a better player.

I've dominated the #1 player quite some times, but I can barely kill a player named "+++CRUSADER+++" that doesn't even appear in the top 25

Maybe the ranking server is flawed?

Though that sounds much better than regular scrap crafting.
Although I'm never really sure of the value of things when I craft with them.

Can the free accounts trade ingame?

I started to play TF2 with my 360 gamepad, because I was sucking at using the keyboard and mouse since I've generally only gamed on consoles. I sucked even worse with the gamepad, so I switched back to the keyboard/mouse config and actually managed to get really quite ok as the spy. I sorta wish I was any good with the demoman though...

Well, not flawed, more like it ranks depending on the score and playtime.
The +++CRUSADER+++ guy plays every once in a while, the rest of the top 10 are there every day.

Most people sell their weapons for a scrap each (or two random weapons). The newest ones are usually 2 scraps or 1 rec, like the Deus Ex weps (although their price is going down now).

But yeah, 2 weps for 1 scrap is a fair trade.

Free accounts can't trade, only receive items. You might find a generous person to give you something, I was in a server where a guy got a free sandvich. So the only thing that F2P accounts can do with metal is craft weapons/hats, but not buy them

It becomes a Premium account.

I recommend purchasing the full suite of starter packs, they're far and away the most cost-effective items in the store.
Does we even do these things anymore?
