Unless you were running a mod that gave your Sims realistic skins, you wouldn't have seen anything that the Moral Guardians would not have wanted you to see.

Well it's either 25$ for the toilet or god knows how much for Public Urination Fines.

I remember Theme Park World as my theme park emulation game of choice. It was hilarious to make a giant tower of one block of Earth and drop misbehaving patrons right on top of the little mountain.

I don't know if that can be done with The Sims 2. I've seen people upload their Sims from The Sims 3, though.

Nah you build a huge rollercoaster and crank the speed up to max and just LAUNCH patrons off the end of it.

Nyeh. I liked throwing them in the water, too, for a few seconds to scare them. Or I built them a "Prison". One raised square with something on it so they can trash it and get rid of their anger.

Trade Sims? Well you can go to ModtheSims and upload a sim there and, if it's accepted, people will download it. I personally tend to create Sims after images of games or anime. Like an Aerith and Zack sim.

Was thinking I'd probably do the same and see how far they get on free will.

In any case other than that method you could just say "This is how I made my Sim, make one the same" if you wanted to dodge the uploading part.

anyone remembers Zoo Tycoon? I usually killed my visitors by blocking the main exit and releasing all the dangerous animals (e.g. lions), it was great. I also built special cages where I trapped a few people and put a lion or tiger in it. I called it "exhibition of death" and yeah.

That being said, I never really killed any of my sims. Like sure, some of them got killed by fire because I forgot to buy a freaking smoke detector but I never really wanted them to die.

I dabbled with Zoo Tycoon a bit, it was ok.

I remember once when playing the Sims I had a horrible problem.

I'd used the money cheat and a random throwaway family to build one absolutely huge mansion of a house. Then once it was done I evicted a family and picked the real couple I wanted to live there. I wanted them to have a baby as well so I get them socialising on the curb the second they spawn in the house.

Sure enough a baby arrives right on the curb where they were standing. Satisfied I move the family indoors...except for the baby. The curb apparently is JUST outside of the house's 'area' and so objects out there can't be moved. I fought tooth and nail for this poor kid and got several warnings from Social Services because hell the kid is left outside at night. I think I even tried building a mini-room outside just as shelter as well as I could. In the end I managed to stave off Social Services until he was grown up but let it be a lesson to all of you. Baby-making should be done INDOORS and not in the street.

I remembered I had a horrible death on SIms 1 with the Fireworks or rocket launchers.... I built a small room and lit it up went right back at me and burned my sim to death. o.o

Sims 3 I did a Test Family two elders two kids. Let the old died and let the two kids become teenagers to survive. The Two Elders are Test The other two are not Test.

Same story on Sims 2 now. But since I couldn't name the family Test I had to resort to using test as the first name.... -.-

I don't know if it's true but I read somewhere that The Sims 4 wasn't gonna have pools and toddlers in the original game, which basically sucks. You don't get between sims players and their possibility to kill sim by removing the ladder. You just don't. Making sims able to get out of pools without ladders in The Sims 3 was bad enough, and I didn't even kill my sims for the most part when I used to play it.

I always liked the Sims 2 more than The Sims 3. There's more to do in 3, but I liked how in 2 there were more options for making your sims lives miserable. :hotti: The Sims 3 seemed to be more focused on serious gameplay (not that I minded that, though).

The sims 2 had some great cheats. I used to love messing about with Rodney's Death Creator. I used to have all the games, but then I sold them, thinking I wouldn't want them anymore. My bad. :larry:

Yes, it is true that the original release of the game does not have Toddlers (a lifestage missing in a life simulator game) and pools. The pools don't bother me too much, personally. I'm sure players will find other ways to kill their sims. Like that dumb "Death by Laughter" they showcased in a recent trailer.

They say the Sims are smarter in Sims 4... how can someone who is smart die by laughter? Wouldn't they know when to stop? Also, they say Sims 4 has "weirder stories"... who the hell asked for weirder stories?!

In Sims 2, I feel like I'm trying to do a whole lot... then again, I suddenly remember how BORING the University was...

I think the toddler stage is quite boring, but... it's still stupid. And pools don't bother me that much either, it's more principal. Death by removed ladder is such a classic, after all.

Appearently they'll be focusing a lot on emotions... I don't know, it's nice that they're trying something new, but there's no telling if it'll be great or a real flop. With smarter, I guess they don't mean they're more intelligent, but (hopefully) in a way making things easier for the player, like stop throw a fit and just stand and scream because there's a minimal toy "blocking their way".

Well, you could still drown a Sim in Sims 3. All you needed to do was surround the pool with walls and they can't get out themselves.

But that's a thing... I don't think Emotions are anything new. I mean, we had the moodlets in Sims 3, which were a bit emotions, although they were flawed, too. (Too easy to get someone into a good mood, the bad moodlets didn't really have much of an impact, either) But even in Sims 1 or 2, we had Sims with moods and emotions. Look at how they came home if a sim got fired from their job in Sims 2. Definitely had an emotional impact there.

But that's not as fun... :sadshoe:

Of course they had emotions before, but judging from trailers and stuff I've seen it seems like it will be more enhanced and played with in The Sims 4. Actually, the ones in the trailer I looked at a while ago seemed quite a bit insane. ...I don't know where they're going with it, we'll have to wait and see I guess. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this game, but I saw it'll be rather cheap so perhaps I'll buy it when it comes out.

I swear I we could do that, I would had too. I didn't knew any cheat code back then so money shortage was a common thing for me (building attaraction of death cost money after all.) And now, if the new version didn't correct the "toilet can be priced" I will now charge 30 buck to go (well I have to adjust the price, 25$ ten years ago must be around 30 now)... Imagine, back then I charged 50$ to enter 10$ for entering in an attraction, around 5 for meals and stuff and 25 for the toilets and people still loved my park to death, I was either a very greedy person or a genius.

About what? Doing a comic or scaring your wallet. :basil: Just kidding, I'm thinking that I could do a kind of dual adventure with May trying to beat the Battle Frontier (or whatever thing that will take it's place) as it is my personal goal, and my main from X living her happy live as a breeder, and all the complication that comes with it. I think it would make sense, since I use my X game as a mean to provide myself shiny level 1 pokémon with nice IV (not perfect, but nice still).

Oy... I just had bad flashbacks to something in The Sims 2 that drove me nuts with regards to how emotions were handled in that game. It was very common for some jerk to pass by the house and kick over the garbage can, spilling its contents onto the sidewalk. I've also seen all manner of dogs rolling in the garbage (no idea whether they knock over the cans themselves or just take advantage of the aforementioned jerk's actions). That was annoying enough, but it happened so frequently that it often attracted cockroaches, which in turn led to my Sims bawling about it whenever they were idle as though they all had the Over-Emotional trait from The Sims 3.

Cheap!? The Sims 4 is coming out for, like, 60$ in regular edition! For a game that cut out a lifestage - even when they add it in with a patch post-release - and other missteps over and over, choosing to cut things instead of improving or fixing them from Sims 3, that is WAY overpriced.

Anthony, you have the right to remain silent on the matter of illegal downloads. I suggest you use it in the future; in the unlikely event that you ever get busted for that kind of thing, your posts here on the matter could be used as evidence against you. Buy it legally or don't get it at all. That is the official stance of Court Records, especially when it comes to games that are still making money for the developers.

Pfff! EA DLC for Sims 3... just go online and look for fanmade mods and items. Those are generally much better. Looking at NRaas. He made stuff for Sims 3 that makes it run much better and adds more control to the Sims. I downloaded a FIXED version of Bridgeport, done by a fan, that gets rid of routing issues and all - that city used to lag like shit for me. When I used the fixed one? Ran just fine. Seriously, fan mods and items are better than EA.

And they're perfectly legal and free to use. (Sure some places have donation stuff, but nothing forces you to use that - plus, demanding money for those is already getting into a gray area)

Why would DLC come out for free? That's the exception to the rule not the norm surely?
