I finished Professor Layton vs Phoenix Wright about a week ago. It was one heck of a game!

Now, continuing Professor Layton's story I've moved on to Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. It's one of many games I've had for months now, but haven't finished. Once I've finished this, I'll be moving onto Bravely Default, which is also one of those games. ^^;;

Ooh whatcha think of PW vs PW? (Is actually dying to talk to someone about it).

Phoenix Wright vs Phoenix Wright sounds like an interesting game. xD

Spoiler:
Overall, I thought it was a really great game. Before I played it I'd read that it felt like there were two separate games going on, but I didn't notice this, I thought the elements of both games gelled together very well and everything flowed really nicely. Maybe it was because you got to play as different combinations of the characters. I was really happy about this, because I thought you would stick with certain characters doing there own thing, like Maya and Luke doing one thing and Phoenix and Layton doing something else.

Anyway, those were two little things I was happy about. The story at end though, ohmigosh. It all went down in one playthrough and by the end I was blown away. Perhaps, it was partly due to me being unable to predict things very well. Did you predict anything about what Labyrinthia really was? It didn't even cross my mind. ^^;; Although, there was one thing I didn't understand. How did the invisibility cloak and machinery work? Everything was painted pure black, so they couldn't see it, that's what they told us, but what enabled them to see everything at the end? And how did Layton's magical word work? I'm struggling to understand it.

I also thought the reasoning behind everything was a little far fetched. I doubt the government would ever support a project like that and how did the residents not notice the machinery or the bell tower? Just because it's invisible doesn't mean it doesn't exist? Surely someone would've ended up walking into something. xD

I feel like have more to say on this game, but I can't think of anything. Oh well. Edgeworth at the end surprised me though. I think we were showed screenshots of him ages ago, but I'd completely forgot about them. Honestly, I did not see it coming. :grey:

Well considering everything is done by hypnosis it's as simple as the Storyteller programming everyone to 'break' the illusion when they hear "Taelende". That's also how no one ever walked into something, they are hypnotised so it's not that they don't 'see' them it's that they completely ignore them and just subconsciously walk around the biggest more permanent fixtures. Also a great deal of the machinery was actually on the roofs to avoid.

As for predictions, I only really predicted every killer but they don't do a good job of hiding it I think. The big reveals had me stammered, like the first line of the storyteller about "Labrelum Inc" just had me gobsmacked XD

Ah, that explains it. It was really bugging me.

The moment when he said that was the best part in the game. The fact that they weren't playing the usual cross-examination music made it extra funny as well. I honestly burst into laughter when I read it.

I think for the first case I narrowed it down to Kira and another character. The second case was pretty obvious.

I just remembered Barnham at the end. It was disappointing he didn't get a bigger part at the end, what with him being a major character. (Of course I know why he couldn't have a part though.) When they showed him at the end in a t-shirt sailing a boat I burst out laughing. Gosh, just seeing him out of character like that is hilarious. xD

Spoiler:
Yeah I posted what I thought of the game and my gripes and positives a page back I think.

I totally agree it's a shame Barnham didn't get anything in the end, I thought for sure he'd persuade the guards to let him loose or break free in order to help out in the finale but then he doesn't show up at all and it was just a bit sad really.

XD I loved pressing his first statement about Labrelum Inc and Nick is just like "....I...I don't know where to start..." but no I did not predict that, I assumed it was full on magic by this point.

The fact they kept Witches as 'Women only' was kinda a big problem. There also wasn't really enough usable evidence each time and you just kept presenting the same 2 or 3 pieces for every solution I felt.

Spoiler:
Just had a read of what you put. You were able to remember more about the game than me. ^^;; I agreed with everything you mentioned, anyway.

I'd completely forgot about Petter. I also thought he would play a bigger part in the game, but it seems his character was completely dropped. I guess that's why I forgot him.

One thing I thought throughout the entire game was the Eve the cat was the Great Witch, or at least a villain in disguise. I was convinced right up until the end. xD I suppose, in a way, I was close.

When they first introduced magic, I was adamant that it did not exist. But, after awhile I ended up accepting it existed. I think the fact that the game made you believe that this world was indeed magical made the plot twist so much more exciting.

I just had a thought. If magic doesn't exist, how did Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright meet? They are from different timelines, right?

Spoiler: PL vs PW
Yes! It's totally confirmed AA and PL occur in the same timeline in the same universe XD All it takes is a little flight abroad to meet up with the gang. It shows in the first cutscene where you see the Professor chatting to Luke in his home and then out the window in the clouds above you can see the plane carrying Nick and Maya arriving.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Edgeworth was aware of the Professor as well given his jet-setting and well-informed lifestyle. Still Eve as the great witch I can see being a bit more believable.

I was so direly hoping Maya would channel someone...it hardly seemed fair in the end. Luke's ability to talk to animals was integral to solving the case and yet Maya's unique abilities weren't touched on at all other than "Oh I'm a spirit medium".

Does this mean the game can be considered as canon? I've had it set in my mind for a while now that this is just a wild fantasy game. The idea of them being set in the same time and universe makes me feel really excited. Haha, who'd have thought the two series would ever become joined like this? xD

If Maya channeled someone, she would be accused of a witch for sure. If it was after they found out magic doesn't exist, then think of all the reactions. xD You're right, it's such a shame.

Finished Chapter 1 of Corpse Party: Book of Shadows

Spoiler: CH 1
Poor Naomi finally managed to save Seiko from hanging herself only to scare her off and having her accidentally fall off the stairs and slice her head off on the sharp piano wire at the bottom of the staircase.

Sounds like the ending of the manga "Girls Go Around" only, Corpse Party seems to actually have a proper ending to it.

Well that's just the chapter ending to the first chapter . There is multiple bad endings to each chapter.

Dusk's got quite a slow start, but it picks up and really gets awesome once you start piecing things together. Whereabouts are you?

As for myself, Ouendan 2 has pretty much consumed me. Love this series, and Ouendan 2 is the best of the bunch, no doubt.

Haha, I've tried it. Shame my computer is a piece of crap, but I've played a tiny bit of it, nothing too extensive though. Was pretty much obligated to play the Phoenix Wright episode, since y'know :sillytrucy:

Haha, I see. If you can't tell by my sig, I like to play osu quite a bit. xP

But yeah, I found it really weird playing EBA again after playing osu, mostly because I'm more used to the patterns (like streams and jumps) which just don't appear on EBA. xP

I've been playing some Knights of the Old Republic again, and boy is it good. I'll probably move on to the sadly unfinished sequel once I'm done saving the galaxy once more. It really is interesting how they can make someone who's not into Star Wars at all completely absorbed in the game.

I've also been playing some Dota 2, but you get bored after a while. Not only are the majority of people assholes, but some also seem incapable of logical thinking and don't have any clue as to how basic strategy works. Had the community been better, then the game would've been a lot more enjoyable.

I was told I would like Generation V of Pokemon, as the region takes several cues from New York City. So I started playing Pokemon White, and at the first opportunity, I looked at the Town Map. And hoo boy...

Yeah XD I guess it can be considered canon...there was no magic in the end after all so it's totally plausible to still be around I guess.

Also yeah she'd be accused of a witch, also Layton would probably flip at actual spiritual powers but c'mon! Luke's talking to animals is just as bad and he does that IN COURT XD

It's the only reason I'd play one really. I understand why people get angry as each match can be a significant time investment but it can really make for a toxic community.

Yeah it's meant to emulate a book I think. It also lets you emulate conversations with Kyle being on one side and the person he's talking to on the other side so you can see how they react to what you say.

I also got VLR in the mail the other day, but I'm saving that for a long car ride I'm going on soon

I'm kind of interested in that game, but from what i've seen you hold the DS on it's side?

Yeah it's meant to emulate a book I think. It also lets you emulate conversations with Kyle being on one side and the person he's talking to on the other side so you can see how they react to what you say.

That's actually a interesting idea for a Visual novel/Point and click game.

Well if it bothers you holding the DS on its side then why not get it for the Vita if you have one.

:ron: Because it's not for the Vita?
And bypassing that we most definitely do not encourage piracy on this site? Especially for a company that went bankrupt in part due to piracy?

But yeah Klonoa it looks pretty good for it, they even include a novelised version of the game that you read in a cafe in-game in the sequel but it looks great and it's got a real unique charm to it.

The biggest / main reason for Cing's bankruptcy was actually the development of Little King's Story: the development cycle took way longer than originally planned and they had to pay for their delays. Literally. And figuratively.

Most MOBAs seem to have terrible communities. Maybe playing with just friends would be better, or something?

I do, occasionally, and it's not like absolutely everyone is a prick, but I daresay the vast majority of people are. The amount of people who can't communicate is also staggering...one has to wonder why anyone would play a team game if all they're going to do is act like whining, spoiled children whether they win or lose.

It's too bad, because the game itself is pretty darn awesome if both teams are somewhat balanced in skill.

Well it appears Sims 3 crashed after I entered into the future. First time that has ever happened but I think the cause was I kept going back and forth from Sims 3 to Google Chrome. I wonder if anybody has ever played Sims 3 as a Young adult but then used testingcheatsenabled True and edit their Sims to be a child and go from there. o.o

Edit:Oh and I also downloaded this Twilight Princess of Link and Zelda that somebody made.

Spoiler:
Does this mean the game can be considered as canon? I've had it set in my mind for a while now that this is just a wild fantasy game. The idea of them being set in the same time and universe makes me feel really excited. Haha, who'd have thought the two series would ever become joined like this? xD

If Maya channeled someone, she would be accused of a witch for sure. If it was after they found out magic doesn't exist, then think of all the reactions. xD You're right, it's such a shame.

Spoiler: PL vs PW
Yeah XD I guess it can be considered canon...there was no magic in the end after all so it's totally plausible to still be around I guess.

Also yeah she'd be accused of a witch, also Layton would probably flip at actual spiritual powers but c'mon! Luke's talking to animals is just as bad and he does that IN COURT XD

Spoiler:
Ah, but he is male, so he can't be a witch. That and he's a child, so maybe everyone else simply thinks he's acting cute. xD

What did you think of the OST? This is the first game I've played that has made me want to buy the full album for it. The music well exceeded my expectations. Especially since I didn't like the music for DD...

Dusk's got quite a slow start, but it picks up and really gets awesome once you start piecing things together. Whereabouts are you?

As for myself, Ouendan 2 has pretty much consumed me. Love this series, and Ouendan 2 is the best of the bunch, no doubt.

Restaurant is about to open so I think it's like 6? And I have no intention of stopping anytime soon. I'm playing more tonight. I hope I wasn't the only one who got a game over by pressing Rosa for the rumors of the hotel...and for dropping the crowbar

Side note: I love Kyle's smug grin

Game overs kind of suck in Hotel Dusk...except one. Probably the best game over I've seen in a game. You'll know it if you get it. Not that I'm saying go hunting for game overs, but you know :hyde:

Nah, it's later on. Chapter 7, I think?
