Eternal Darkness.

Thought this game wouldn't be as scary as expected judging from the first two hours of gameplay, but I guess I was wrong.

O___o

Though gawd, I lol'd so hard at the sanity effect where the tv screen suddenly turns into a blue screen of death XDDD

I finished Super Mario Galaxy today with 85 stars. Still I'm going to hunt the rest of them soon.

It's a wonderful game which I love a lot. Not a bad word can be said against it actually.
Re: What are you playing now?Topic%20Title

Well, actually. It's much too easy, the way Mario attacks is quite silly, punching and kicking was much more fun. There's too much emphasis on water, and Gooper Blooper isn't it(No, King w/ehisnameis doesn't count).

Don't mind me, just passing through.
Re: What are you playing now?Topic%20Title

Yeah, it's incredibly short and easy, but hey, you come to expect these things from Nintendo games.

Save that argument for Sunshine. Compare the two, and Galaxy is like a breath of fresh air. Now I suppose you're going to moan that you're disappointed with Galaxy.

Re: What are you playing now?Topic%20Title

No, not really. It's exactly what I expected for the most part. I'm not saying its a bad game or anything, but to say that there's nothing bad to said about it is truly asinine.

Actually, Galaxy reminded me a lot of Crash Bandicoot, in terms of attacks. Either spin attack, or jump on the enemy.

Anyways... I'm playing Galaxy ATM, and PW: AA: T&T, to find some quotes to use to support contradictions I "deliver" to the site.

Still playing the games previously mentioned, but I've got two more on my plate now: King of Fighters XI and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus.

KOF XI may now be my personal favourite in the series. It takes everything I liked from 2003 and improves on it. Also, Kula's back (Yay!).

MPO+ is almost kind of like MPO's version of VR Missions, which is nothing to complain about. Of course, the single player isn't too involved, but they've got a lot of good shit to train you for multiplayer, not to mention a few new characters (Old Snake for the effing win).

Yes, the game is too easy but if you die, it's because of you, not the game. I think the easiness is not a minus side actually, it makes you more comfortable with the controls.

Except... Final Fantasy X-2 isn't on the DS, nor is XII.

There's only a RTS that happens to be set in the XII universe.

Is that not the case with 99% of games?

No, there is a terrible amount of games in which you die because of poor level desing, controls or camera problems. Those cases are not considered as player's fault in my books.
Re: What are you playing now?Topic%20Title

It most certainly is, the player has failed to adapt to the conditions of the game. If you've ever taken a Biology class, you'd know that adaptation is a crucial element of a species' survival .

The adaptation still doesn't tell you why the heck you can't change the point of view in some games if you are backed to a corner in a 3rd person game and tha wall was in between the character and the tv screen. What should you do then? Turn your inner instincts on and try to see through the wall?

Metal Gear Solid: Twin SNAAAAAAAAAAKES.

It's a fantastic game so far. But somehow Snake's voice annoys me...

The best thing about good Snake impressions isn't being able to sound exactly like my favourite homosexual video game character, it's showing everyone online that I can.

Anyway, I am playing Viva Pinata, and it's quite fantastic. Gives me faith that Rare hasn't turned completely to shit and Banjo Kazooie 3 might actually be amazing.

Meh. They screwed up a lot of the voices. They got rid of a few of the accents (I'm looking at you Naomi) and completely messed a lot of the others (I'm looking at you Gray Fox/Ninja).

As for me, I guess it's an unholy cocktail of MGS: Portable Ops (fucking brilliant game, the only true MGS game on the PSP), GTA: Liberty City Stories (JD O'Toole scares me :meekins: ), Free Running (love it for the unrealism), Battlefield 2 (I love the sandbox), Kane & Lynch: Dead Men (disregard what Jeff Gerstmann said, it is a masterpiece) and Rival Schools (BEST GAME ABOUT HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS BEATING THE HELL OUT OF EACH OTHER).

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow

It's growing on me. I should probably check out all the Castlevania games to get the full experience. After all, the whole thing is about Dracula and how persistent he is in coming back each time. And, as we all know, Dracula is the long-running, undisputed king of badassery.

Well, it couldn't be mine since I outlined why you shouldn't play it under different circumstances. Nice try, though.
