You should be able to get by with Save States if ever it's proving too difficult.

Just make sure you get Cutman before Elecman cause Elecman is hell.

With him, if you have Cutman's weapon, it's mostly a game of who can land 3 hits first. It's not bad to go for him after Cutman though, Elecman's weapon is probably one of the best in the game. At the same time though, considering you get Magnet Beam in his stage and you'd need either Gutsman's weapon or Elecman's, it's not a bad idea to do it last so you don't have to play the stage twice. Magnet beam is required.

I hate to say, I never beat Mega Man 1. That boss rush in the end always messed me up. Especially frustrating when I was just one hit away from the last boss that one time before getting to Wily. =( I always ended up taking too much damage from Iceman's blasts after killing him because his attacks would still go on after his death and the game would lag a bit for me because of all the things on the screen, thus resulting in me mistiming my jumps every time to dodge his attacks.

I've only played Mega Man 1-4 and 6, 9 and 10 as well as getting through the Robot Masters on 7.

From my experiences, 1 has hard parts. Elecman is cheap, Gutsman's platforms took some learning, but wasn't bad once you got it. The only other hard parts for me were Yellow Devil and the final boss rush with 4 robot masters. Most robot masters aren't really that tough, with Cutman being very easy. Now as far as cheap deaths go, those moving platforms that shoot out pellets in Iceman's and in the Wily stages can go bite me. Hate the random sporadic movements, and it makes those sections a pain when you have no Magnet Beam.

Mega Man 2, wasn't too bad. Get Metal Blades and it really breaks the game. I remember having trouble at first in Quick Man's stage, but who doesn't? I didn't really find the robot masters in this game that difficult. Heatman was probably the easiest to fight though. The game does have a lot of cheap shots though, especially considering the bosses in Wily's castle. I'm glad Mega Man 3 learned from this game. As heralded as Mega Man 2 is for being great, the ending of the game leaves something to be desired for me.

Mega Man 3, I found to be one of the easier games. While the Robot Masters have more of a challenge than in 2 for me, the stages felt easier. The Wily stages especially were too easy, as well as Wily himself. Seriously, E-Tanks everywhere. Best Rush Jet in the series. Aside from the Doc Robots, which felt like unnecessary padding, I didn't find anything in this game too difficult, with maybe the exception of the Doc Robot Woodman, but his bigger size made it harder to dodge the leaves. Surprisingly, Airman is easier with the addition of the slide.

Mega Man 4, I found the most difficult next to 1. At least I was able to beat this one! Most of difficulty for me though stemmed around the levels and this game's love of spikes. I seriously felt this game was oversaturated with too many spikes. The robot masters were a bit more challenging compared to 3, with actually having to learn their patterns to actually use their weaknesses effectively instead of just spamming their weakness. I don't really recall any of the Cossack or Wily fights difficult though.

Mega Man 6, easiest in the series bar none. I'd say this game is great for getting a casual player into the series.

As far as my Mega Man 7 experience goes, the robot masters and their levels weren't that difficult. From my understanding though, aside from the final boss, who I hear is the toughest in the series, this game isn't really difficult.

Mega Man 9. I'd say it's difficult on a first playthrough, but a lot of it has to do with, again, cheap spike placements. Get past that, and this game is pretty tame to me. The robot masters aren't a huge challenge, but not super easy either, save for like, Galaxy Man. I didn't find the Wily stuff too bad either.

Mega Man 10. I think the levels are a bit more legitimately challenging compared to 9. The robot masters, I remember, were pretty difficult first time around, but after learning their patterns, they're cake. I don't remember the Wily levels being hard or easy. I just remember that you need to be careful and not rush through them and take your time, otherwise you will fall to cheap deaths.

From my experiences, as far as Mega Man goes, it can be a difficult series for first time players. While skill is involved, a lot of memorization helps the game a lot too, especially when Robot Masters come in. Memorize their patterns, how they move and react, and the games become so much easier. They react and move the same exact way every time you fight them, so it's just getting down the timing.

I'd say Megaman 5 is even easier than 6; Star Man and Gravity Man's stages can easily be cleared without even taking a hit, and the rest of the initial eight stages aren't much harder with the possible exception of the water ski section in Wave Man's stage.

Plus, Beat is ridiculously powerful if you get all the parts to build him.

Out of all the first-generation women, Nowi has the best Defense growth rates and Cherche has the best Strength growth rates, so I suppose it depends on whether you favor offense or defense. Of course, that's not even taking into account second-generation characters, whose growth rates depend on who their parents are.

Edit: Ah, wait, I just realized the growth rates vary from class to class, so I could be mistaken. I'll put together a chart that attempts to adjust for class differences and look at the base growth rates. In their original classes, Nowi has the best Def growth, Cherche has the best Str growth, and Tiki has the best HP growth. Again, though, that's only out of the first-generation women, and even then, it doesn't account for possible class changes.

Haven't played 5, so it sounds like an interesting case. I think with 6 though, the easiest part of the game came through the platforming since you essentially get access to a double-jump. The only stage I recall having trouble with my first playthrough was with Plantman, but I didn't understand how the springy section worked at the time.

Aww Iceman's fight was hilarious nonsense if I remember it properly.

He shoots those slow glacial-moving waves at you.
I think if you use his weakness you can kill him before one of them even reaches you.

I'm currently working my way through 5 and yeah it's pretty great but the Dark man robots can be a real pain, especially as they speed up the more damage they take.

Well he is a Great Lord level 1.... And I really can't go do chapter 12. He nearly got wrecked. He had only 1 HP and there were like 3 enemies within range of killing him. But I should also get Nowi to level up as well. And maybe Sumina as well. Because she always gets killed. LITERALLY I cannot do a mission with her dying all the time. Hmmmm who should I pair Donny with. Tis too late for Lissa, That axe guy and her are married....

Truth be told, I'm not one to use Nowi in battle that often, so under normal circumstances, I'd put more work into leveling Chrom up. However, since you married Nowi, your situation is different. Both are high-priority characters in your case. An S-Level Support offers slightly better bonuses to Hit, Dual Strike rate, and Dual Guard rate than an A-Level Support does, so Nowi would help you in combat more than Chrom--though this assumes their stats are roughly equal.

Well I still plan on taking on the DLCs. So that bears the question on classes for Chrom and Nowi. Because idk if Chrom Nowi and my Avatar can actually take on the enemies on the DLC maps.... As they are now.

Okay so I grinded for levels and then Gold and got a few guys from the Bonus Teams in the Bonus Box on the Wireless. Most of them level 20s-30s. (Yes I got both Marths) and I recruited both of my Avatars that I added to the Logbook and I went and did Lost Bloodlines 2 twice and Lost Bloodlines 3 once. Now here comes the question.... should I USE both Dread Fighter Scrolls on both Chrom and Anthony or hold out on that. Chrom is still a Lord at level 15 and Anthony is a Mercenary at level 20. And I was told if I were to use Dread Fighter on anyone of them something bout I could use a Second Seal to make them go back to level 1..... idk if that is true or not.

Maybe I should get more Dread Fighter Scrolls..... and paragons, maybe? I tried Rouges and Reedemers 3 and that was hard as hell and got a game over. Chrom died......

I've been playing Victoria II lately. Despite some missed opportunities, I've managed to push Russia pretty far forward. I was unable to stop Prussia from forming Germany, but that may have been for the best; in this playthrough, Germany formed largely as a result of a war between Austria and Prussia in which the former attempted to assert hegemony. An Austrian victory would likely have been a key first step for them in the establishment of Großdeutschland, which would have been bad for me, to put it lightly. As such, rather than having Austria and Prussia as neighbors, I now have Germany and Austria-Hungary as neighbors. Italy was also united, and they've been instrumental in keeping Austria-Hungary and Germany at each other's throats. Italy is Germany's ally, you see, and the former is quite determined to seize territory from Austria-Hungary. It all works out to my advantage, though, as it prevents Germany (easily the greater threat) from being in a good position to attack me.

I don't know when exactly I'll be in a position to stop worrying about Germany. If I ever had a chance to nip the problem in the bud beforehand, I missed it. As things stand, though, I think I'm on my way to catching up. My industrial score is already the fourth highest and is increasing steadily. I'm about thirty points behind Germany at this point. Industry is the top priority at the moment, with technology being a close second. Over the past forty years, I've been able to kick Russia's literacy rate from 10% to 64%, so things are looking very good. That said, I'm still vulnerable at this point; Germany and Austria-Hungary both have higher military scores than me, making it very likely that I'll lose if either of them picks a fight with me. I might be able to win against Austria-Hungary if they're busy fighting Germany at the time, but I'd rather play it safe.

It's a grand strategy game by Paradox. It actually came out a few years ago. The game takes place from the years 1836 to 1936. Countries are ranked based on their prestige, industry, and military strength. The goal is to finish at the top. Much of the focus is on industrialization and building up a sphere of influence, though maintaining a strong military is still important. For countries in Asia and Africa, Westernization becomes the top priority.

I recommend looking over every prospective wife's supports with your character and getting a sense of whom you're most fond of. That's ultimately how I ended up favoring Cordelia. The Fire Emblem Wiki has transcripts of every potential romantic support involving a male Avatar here.

In other news, things took a turn for the interesting in Victoria II. Austria-Hungary was demoted to a secondary power and I was able to forge an alliance with them as a result. This could be just what I needed for a prospective war with Germany. I've been allied with the United Kingdom for a long time already. Our combined military strength might be enough to defeat Germany. Meanwhile, in the industrial arena, I'm now ranked second. France is the only country with a higher industrial score as of 1880, and at the rate things are going, I'll surpass them in the next decade.

It's a good game. It's just that the difficulty curve feels like more of a wall than a curve.

There are games like that that haven't been developed by Paradox?

I might as well go for Olivia. But I should establish what class Olivia needs to go for maybe Dancer than Swordmaster and then back to Dancer? My avatar is a Dread Fighter and turns out I can go right back to Dread Fighter if I were to use Second Seal while being a Dread Fighter.

I don't recognize the name, nor do I see it displayed on the handbook or cover. I see Team Ninja, Koei-Tecmo, Nintendo, but no Paradox.

Anyway, I'm taking a bit of a break from it to have dinner. It's frustrating, really. I'm thinking that the co-op play is supposed to be used, as that would make things significantly easier.
