Dahhhhhhhhh, envyyyyyyy~ Okay, okay, Germany had it out earlier than America, but I still don't have a WiiU, so I couldn't play it thoug I want to. XD

It's a good game. It's just that the difficulty curve feels like more of a wall than a curve.

Just started that game today. Will need to be on the lookout for this wall and sharpen my skills appropriately. Its fun as anything so far though.

If there's online co-op for story mode, I could join you. And vice versa.

Not a clue. I do know it exists in Adventure Mode.

A more accurate description would be "mission mode", but there's an aspect of the menu where you can unlock extra things to unlock by solving simple puzzles on a map designed to as the original LoZ map- though the character sprites for Impa, Lana, Shiek, etc. are obviously new.

Neat I love little extra modes just for fin like that. Those modes were good fun in the other dynasty warrior games. Thought there was already a mission mode or a challenge mode though?

Adventure mode is mission mode. Challenge mode is challenge mode. Story mode is... something else, I forget what it's called.

I usually plan defensively at the start. There are several chokepoints near your starting position. Have the units with the best defensive stats stationed there. Keep everyone else nearby for some ranged support when necessary. Let the fight come to you; as long as you hold the right spots, only a few enemies will be able to hit each of your defensive units at any given time. It's also crucial that you have a healer or three; a lot of the enemies have really good offensive stats and skills, in addition to some of the best weapons in the game, so even your tanks are probably going to take a lot of damage. If too few of your units have good enough defensive stats, then I recommend building those stats up first.

Also if you are actually going to be taking damage counter is just a wonderfully borked skill to use provided you got a healer on hand

Well..... the only one with good defense and damage is my 2nd file guy. And I think The two Marths as well. I could probably use those guys as attackers while keeping Chrom and Anthony safe from harm?

Edit:I nearly lost Chrom.

That DLC is a lost cause to me.

1887 in my Victoria II playthrough: Russia is now the dominant industrial power. Secure in my country's economic and technological superiority in the area of industry, I began shifting my technological focus toward modernizing my army. That turned out to be a good call; my decision to support Brazil in their invasion of Bolivia led to the United States supporting Bolivia. As such, I am now at war with the United States. Here's hoping I can get troops to Brazil without the American navy drowning them.

It's called Legend mode, which sounds more like a difficulty level than the name of the story mode to me. I just got the game yesterday, and when I get a game like this I usually try playing the modes in order. That means I'm probably not going to touch the other modes until after I've beaten Master mode. I really like this game so far, I think this might make me seek out the Dynasty Warriors games. One of the best things about crossovers is that it makes fans of one franchise interested in the other. Playing PLvsPWAA is what made me become interested in the Layton series again, for instance.

Yeah that it does though I liked both Zelda and Dynasty Warriors before hand, I've even got a copy of Gundam Warriors and played the Samurai Warriors game on 3DS. The mechanics in Zelda feel super tight and refined.

Pair this dawg up with Paladin Chrom (with Dual Guard at least)

Turn off all battle animations

End turn over and over again until you win

Just make sure you keep an eye out for the guys with Counter and Lethality (mark them at the beginning of the battle and snipe them with magic before they get next to you)

Yes yes yes and, uh, yes.

Unless you have to reach another friendly unit that's in danger of dying quickly, it's actually advantageous to have as few units on the map as possible when there's a ton of enemies. That way there's no weak party members to take the brunt of the attack.

Pally Chrom gives the best defensive pairing boosts, though I guess it doesn't really matter too much. Sage has the highest magic stat. Vengence and Vantage are absolutely vital; the former gives a huge damage boost for whatever missing HP you have, and Vantage lets you attack first every time once you hit half HP or less. So as long as you don't get one-shotted, the enemy won't even be able to touch you once you're in VV range. That's why you need to watch for Lethality guy (who can potentially one-shot you) and Counter guy (unless you one-shot HIM, he'll throw all that damage back at you). Fortunately, both of those guys have a one-square range on their attacks, which means you can safely shoot them with magic from two squares away.

Armsthrift is to keep your Celica's Gate from breaking (though you may need Limit Break to get your Luck up to 50, just load up on a bunch of your strongest A-rank tomes until you get LB).

The ideal set-up is probably what I have pictured, though you can sub Tomefaire for Limit Break until you get the latter. You'll want to be sure you have maxed (or close to it) stats before attempting R&R3, and obviously save before every time you run it because bad luck does happen.

Celica's Gate. Hits twice (four times if your speed is high enough) so it's the strongest tome in the game.

Ah but Book of Naga is also strong as well. Not to mention it is very colorful. The only way to get it again is the Infinite Reginla or whatever it is called DLC. And not to mention that like.... there are other rare weapons there.

So get my guy to level 20 Sage and Chrom to a level 20 Paladin? What should I do with my other two Avatars? My level 30 Dread Fighter and level 20 Grandmaster. Dread Fighter got Counter Lifetaker Armsthrift Paragon and Aggressor while Grandmaser got Armsthift All Skill +2 Veteran Discipline and Outdoor Fighter. If possible I want to use them as well.

Book of Naga really isn't that good... Even unforged, unless you have absolutely abysmal Magic, you're going to be doing nearly twice as much damage with a Gate. It's the same reason Falcon Blade is generally the best sword in Dragon Quest; most of your attack damage is coming from your character's stats rather than the weapons themselves.

And you can use your extra guys if you want, but with the setup I suggested, you won't need them.
