I've been recently replaying all of the Professor Layton games, this time going in chronological order as I play them. I'm actually on Unwound Future now. But, boy, was it hard to transition from Azran Legacy graphics => Curious Village graphics. And the cutscene quality... *shudder*

In case you all were wondering, because *y'all probably weren't, this is the chonological order for da Prof's games.
Last Specter, Miracle Mask, Azran Legacy, Curious Village, Diabolical Box, Prof. L. vs Phoenix W., and then Unwound Future.
*that Texas grammar, tho :jake:

Awesome. Once you're done with that, you should totally play the fan translation of AAI2. The translators did a terrific job with it, and it's one of my favorite AA games to date.

Playing Shin Megami Tensei IV and I absolutely love it! It sure was pretty damn unfair and hard at the beginning but luckily, it gets a bit easier and you don't die nearly as much in later parts of the game. I love the atmosphere and music, story is alright but prefer Strange Journey's story over it. I was planning to do neutral at first but I think I already hecked up and will probably end up with chaos, oh well.

I also finished Fire Emblem: Awakening like I think, a week ago or something and I enjoyed it a lot! I usually suck at strategy games but I did pretty good this time. My avatar was overpowered as hell but then again, most of my units were. I loved all the interactions between the characters and of course I ended up marrying Chrom, I had to. There was no other way. I didn't want him to marry Sumia because they seemed so boring together. I married her with Frederick instead...

So i finished the third case in AAI.
All i really have to say was that they did a little too many references to past games in this case, other than that i really liked it.

Monster Hunter 4 ULTIMATE!

Must be my finely honed hunter instincts but I struggled naught with that giant flying bug thing that troubled BP.

Or...it could be the fact that I was using a gun and so ranged attacks are easy as pie for me. On the other hand smaller faster monsters like the Great Jaggi seem to be giving me trouble.

My problem wasn't killing the bug itself, it was waking the bug up while it was sleeping on the wall so it didn't just regenerate all its health :<

Hmm it never even had a chance to run from me. Smashed up it's horn first for the subquest (I actually misread and thought that was the main objective). Though yeah I remember you saying which is why I had the advantage on that field, what with just shooting things XD

I reckon I'll really start to feel them gunner disadvantages later on though....half armour strength is a pretty formidable wall to encounter.

I absolutely love those little sprites and a lot of the characters were pretty cool too. Just felt the game was a smidge too easy.

I finished GK2, AAI, PW, JFA, T&T and AJ. But I couldn't just seem to play DD and PLvsAA.

I feel boring to play those games, again and again. So I'm playing Unreal Tournament now. -_-

I just got into what I imagine is the final showdown in GK2.

Spoiler: MAJOR GK2 Spoilers
Was a bit sad to say I figured out who it was before the reveal. Folks had told me they really hid away this person pretty well so when I was looking at the profiles it's easy enough to figure it's the most innocent-looking reasonable character. Since a lot of the non-main characters in the final case are...recurring characters (Regina, Will Powers, Lotta, Penny Nichols of all people) we've known they ain't the worst of people likely to commit murder. Unless they were willing to pull a phantom thing with masks and pretending to be someone else but that would be too cheap. Pretty much cut it down to either Lotta's disciple, Dogen (too obvious) or Simon Keyes. I see the kids that disappeared were still relevant and the kid in the photograph shares the shame "shut-eyes" face as Simon. Welp guess he's going to be important again. Sure enough one transformation later and we're chatting it up about evil.

That said his transformation sequence is pretty damn cool and he looks great as a final villain.

Trust me, the game gets more ridiculous as you go on.

Playing Idolm@ster One For All for the PS3. Started a new file and once again stuck on getting to rank D3 with Hibiki because damn Ai and her stupid Rival Burst graaah!! The next rank's rival idol Eri is easier to defeat than Ai!

Persona 4 Golden. Finally got to the point where I can have a new navigator. Teddie's voice was really getting on my nerves.

Really wish I didn't have to have a navigator though. 99% of the time, they just tell me what I already know, or could easily read for myself. It's worse than Navi from OoT (heck, I'd even say it's worse than Fi in Skyward Sword).

The other annoying thing is trying to level up certain social links, but the characters are never available when I want them to be. Especially when it's raining. Can't tell you how many times my plans for the day get royally screwed over because of the rain.

I kind of wish there was a volume control for the music. Half the music is fine, and generally an improvement over Persona 3, but the other half...

Also, I find Chie incredibly grating. Her voice is just obnoxious, and her personality drives me nuts. Maybe my opinion of her would change if I leveled up her social link a bit more, but right now, I just dread the thought of having to spend more time with her than I already do.

Other than that though, I generally think the game is pretty good. I'm having trouble putting it down, actually. For the most part, I actually like it better than P3P, which I have yet to finish, but at this rate, I'll likely finish P4G first.

Well for like 4 fights before that point in for fun, he was winning every single match.
But then i picked the Wii fit trainer and in the match i completely destroyed everyone, we were playing in dream land. After the match i noticed that the guy who was winning the previous matches was gone.

Ever since getting my PS3 last year, I've been playing a lot of franchises I never got to play before due to not owning a Sony system. Most recently, I've been getting into the Ratchet & Clank series. I find them a lot of fun. So far I've played through 3 of them: The original, Going Commando, and Up Your Arsenal. I'm in the process of playing through Deadlocked at this moment.

In the category Unlikely-Someone-Else-Here-Played-It: Segagaga for the Dreamcast. It's described as a Sega Simulation and you take on the role of Sega Tarou, the head of Sega's new project Segagaga, which has to save Sega and the Dreamcast from certain doom (i.e. bankruptcy) by developing excitingnew games. The game is split in two parts: a RPG where you go down in the depths of hell (the development floor) and recruit staff for your team by verbally abusing eloquently convincing them, as well as solve other problems like warring factions on the floor (programmers VS designers! A witchhunt on moe (note: this is a 2001 game), etc). The other part is a simulation game, where you use your resources (staff and development funds) to develop a new games to reconquer market share from Sony DOGMA.

Segagaga is also the funniest game I've played in years. Sega makes fun of the whole game industry, but especially itself. It's full of parodies on everything, makes fun of the ridiculous things that happen on the development floor and is written with an enormous amount of self-abuse. And it's basically impossible for Sega to port/remaster/anything this game anymore, because it's too full of parodies and stuff that laywers will probably jump at. It is really a product of Sega during its Dreamcast years.

I'm currently playing Majora's Mask 3D, Person 4 Golden and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire. Depressingly, I've played all these games before on their original console... (except for Majora's Mask, I played that on the Wii)

I guess this is where I should say something about the state of modern gaming and how many remakes there are, but I'm honestly enjoying playing all of them again.

After around two dungeons, I just learned to ignore it. It worked until I tried grinding to lvl 93 solo and I heard "*squeal* Senpai, that was so cool!" three times in five seconds.

I don't know. Quite frankly, I didn't think anyone could beat Fuuka in the irritating navigator department. Teddie proved me wrong, so I would hope anything else would be an improvement, no matter how minor of one.

As for finishing P3P, I might as well, seeing as how I'm in the last month of the game. It's mainly the grinding I'm having an issue with right now.

What level are you in P3P? Trust me, you don't need to be Level 90+ to beat the final boss. Being Level 65+ is well enough and given how easy the game is, you can get that level without really grinding just by proceeding.
