Notice the "if", probably not going to, just saying if I did go into medicine that would be my choice to study.

Out of town again so I can't do any ripping.

Anyways,

re: the official OST: that's actually pretty cool. New Blood got one too eventually, though it's damned near impossible to find if I'm not mistaken. But still, it's not out until the 23rd of September, and there's a good chance it won't have some of the event cues. So, cool, but I think I'll try and finish up my UOST first (though I'll add a note in the readme of the final thing about the OST).

Yeeeah, but you don't get to have a choice to study diagnostics or some other specialty. You'd have to get through about 4 years of pre-med, and then another 4 years of med school. After that internship for between 1-3 years. Gradually you rise through the ranks of the hospital system, which can take at least another 5 years. During this time or after you may choose to specialise, which can take up to 10 years. And probably only until you've proven yourself to be EXPERT at what you do, and have a wide range of experiences in many specialties as well as general practice, THEN perhaps, you may be OFFERED the choice of getting into diagnostics. By this time you'll probably be in your late 30s up to your 50s depending on how little sleep you need and how hard working you are and how much in your life you're willing to sacrifice in order to pursue this dream.

TLRD: It's naive to think just by getting into med you can cherry pick what specialty you wanna do.
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn?
But that's alright because I like the way it hurts

I can totally get what you're saying, but I don't think he meant to underestimate the difficulty of the profession. Obviously, this game is very different from real life, just like Phoenix Wright, and a game shouldn't be the only factor in deciding a lifelong career. However, it doesn't hurt to dream, right? I've started reading up on the jobs in the R&D because I was interested in this game, but it just means I'm going to do more research on it and figure out what it's actually about. Again, I know that there's tons of work required to even hope to get the job, but I just wanted to get that out there. Thanks to Hank, I'm considering a job as Eagle Lady... I need a theme song.

So, what do people think of the chief this time around? I mean, I thought Esha was okay at first, but I've kinda grown to like her as a character.

I liked the chief. She had an interesting personality. But, I felt that she was the unofficial 7th character without any plot to move her forward. She was just always there in the background helping out here and there.... But then again, so was everyone else. She lacked a story, as Anderson had in the first game. In terms of usefulness, I'd rate her slightly above the nurse from New Blood. But she has a great character. I think she can go far in Trauma Team 2.

I wonder if she'll be a playable character at some point?

Trauma Team is great. That's all that needs to be said. Trauma Team is one of those rare games that you can look at and say, "Yes. I got more than what I paid for." Now, I would've liked for there to have been more diagnostic missions (maybe take out some endoscopy? No great loss), but there was more than enough to keep me satisfied.

So I beat most of the game on specialist difficulty (C ranks :X), but I can't seem to be able to solo beat New Blood (on easy). Go figure. :\
The post has ended.

QFT

I'm hoping Esha gets more character development in the sequel; she became awesome in my book in the scene early on in Tomoe's storyline in Japan...
Spoiler: just in case
when supposedly Yoshikage is trying to marry off Tomoe. Esha and Gabe bust in there... and Gabe hides behind Esha while she spouts reasons why the situation sucks. I was very amused. ALSO, I find Yoshikage's clip in the Medal List to be very creepy. "Have you ever considered marriage? *deep sultry voice*"
... *cough*

Hmm, I quickly google'd it and this website has a few: http://www.creativeuncut.com/art_trauma-center-second-opinion_a.html?gr_i_ni
There's also the Trauma Center wikia, but... graaaah a few years back I had the perfect website for it. I don't remember what it's called, but I had it saved onto my bookmarks. Then I sold that computer and got a new one. *sigh* I'll look for it, but that's all I know for now, sorry. D8

EDIT: Also, there's an amusing update on the Trauma Team journal.
http://www.rikai.com/perl/LangMediator.En.pl?mediate_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fhosp.atlusnet.jp%2Fblog%2F2010%2F06%2F000125.html
(I used rikai because my kanji reading is horrible) Apparently the top pairing is CR-S01 and Tomoe, followed by Naomi and Little Guy (SQUEE), then Hank and Claire.
Thoughts?

The biggest pain in that game, imo, is Bythos. The spores are annoying, the lacerations are annoying, the black shadows they make that ASPLODE if you ignore them are ANNOYING, and... did I mention it's annoying? I think it doesn't come till chapter 7, though, so there's still a ways to go.

Been playing some more off and on in the quest to get XS ranks. I've gotten all of Tomoe's and all but two of Maria's (I've got an S on Desperate Rescue and am not even trying to think about Missing Girl) but only two for CR-S01 (again, a few Ses in there) and one for Hank. We'll see how long my motivation keeps up.

Really? :eh?: Bythos was the easiest for me....
I just got to the final guilt and HATE the cutting of the sige.
I can't figure out how to beat the sige in the final neoguilt op.
I cover it with gel, but it barely gives me any time to cut it with the scalpel.. :uramidn:
Any tips?

Hmm, I don't have any tips besides practicing it on easy so you can get quicker at it. I usually just dab it quickly with the gel (just poke it, I guess) and slice it so it doesn't have time to keep moving, but it's tricky. Oh, you should monitor its movement patterns too. If you dab at it when it's about to do a lot of jerky movements, it won't work (at least on the final op; I can't remember how it moves in the earlier operations). I usually wait until right after it moves a whole bunch because then it's stable for about a second and I can get a slice in there.

I think that sounded a bit confusing... :yogi:

I believe there's a soundtrack to get to.
(Aren't there like 4 tracks left?
-The Theme When Naomi's On a Computer with the Raging Bomber (Cryptic)
-The Theme When CR-S01 enters the OR after his emo breakdown (CR-5 Waking From Terror)
-The Theme When the Raging Bomber is at the airport and Naomi's about to leave her room
-When the Raging Bomber is confronted)

Aw, who am I kidding, I keep going back to that game going "ONE MORE TIME, ONE MORE TIME" until I can't feel my hands. It took hours of blood, sweat, and tears to beat all the X-missions in Second Opinion, but I did it, and this game shall be no different. I shall... PREVAAAAAIL! *heroic music*

Oh yeah I've got New Blood too. Sed all of them. It was much easier. Even on hard mode.

OH GOD YES BYTHOS NEEDS TO DIE. Especially in that STUPID operation with Heather's stupid mother where every cut takes off about 20 damage. I'm really bad at dragging away the 'eye', I always panic and drop it by accident.

About Sige - are you referringto the final Sige operation, or Aletheia? In the Sige operations, you can heal vitals back up to 99 after you cut it out - it only makes black shadowy things when it's underneath the skin. In Aletheia, always cut the Sige at the top-right, closest to the 'scalpel' tool. Once your reactions get better you can probably start getting at the ones near there as well.

Sige is actually one of the easiest stages of Aletheia, for me, as well as Bythos. In fact, all the Neo-GUILT parts are quite easy. It's just Kyriaki and Pempti (which, if you're playing it properly, you should NEVER EVER get to) that hate me. And that stupid cutting the wires thing.

Just started playing UTK2 again, and trying to finish the X operations. What a coincidence you guys are talking about Bythos, cause I'm having a bit of trouble.

I agree, Bythos is easy...Until the X Operation.
Got any tips, anyone?

To be honest, I can't even pass the X Operations, but have you tried letting it burst closer to the tray so it's not as easy to hit the spores? I'm not sure if that's any help, sorry... D:

I attempted the X-missions on UTK2 and got to mutated Pempti but... once I get rid of one core, I can't survive the freakout from the remaining one. I've gotten better at it by switching between cores so that when one dies, the other one is also weak. Howeverrrrr, I just can't keep up with it. It's very frustrating. >:[

To be honest, I found the X Bythos to be okay - the operation with Heather's comatose mother was a lot worse, IMO.

Spam antibiotic gel, and focus on attack. When it vanishes, you have time to inject a full syringe of health. When you burst it open, you can inject 3-4 syringes before you drag it across. And when it reforms, you can do about 2. If you keep on gelling and lasering, the vitals should never be that big of an issue. Plus, the HT can do about 2 rounds of damage if you're quick.

The hardest operation in the game was Aletheia on HM (not the X mission). The jump from Normal to Hard mode is absolutely ridiculous. At least I somehow managed to A it.

Oh jeez... X Missions. I hate them. Even though I could easily do higher difficulties, I'm such a vital freak that I always stay on Easy mode so I could fill the patient's vitals quickly with the vital juice to keep it at 80 or higher. Whenever I even attempt the X Missions, I always forget that I don't have the time to fill my patient up with stabilizer, so I keep injecting even though their vitals are still dropping at lightning speed. I beat most of the X Missions on Second Opinion due to luck [I have absolutely no idea how I beat Pempti or Deftera. It's a freakin' miracle.]. UTK2... I didn't even bother to try them yet. Maybe I should... Oh, and does New Blood have X Missions for Stigma? I don't remember...

Jade, I have to thank you. Wanna know why? Other than the fact that you're awesome and a Little Guy fan?

Your avi inspired me to try to draw Little Guy [and it's the first time I've tried to draw in months]. XD At first, I tried to draw him with a sexy grin and his tie hanging out of his mouth, but I kept failing at it and got really frustrated with it. So, instead of that, I drew something making fun of those failed attempts. *points to mah shiny new avi* I drew that in like five seconds, so there's some white pixels, but whatever. Also, I am obsessed with the ending song, but, you know, since the guy's name is supposedly Benjamin Franklin, it is considerably difficult to find information about the singer from Google. I'm curious as to how the singer looks like or something about him BUT I FIND NUTTIN'. I AM SAD.

If he's not "willing", then the most it could be is sexual harassment.

And... I kinda fail at art, but I can help with that if you want. *NEEDS PRACTICE BADLY* Just tell me what you want and I'll do my best! =D
