Also I do think Halo is overrated, not bad, but overrated.

Now games I despised greatly would be FF8 and Donkey Konga (great concept but was broken and really easy to play).

I see... It's kinda rare for me to find someone that just outright doesn't like it for itself.

I distaste for FF8 has nothing to do with FF7, I actually think FF7 is highly overrated. I hate FF8 for two main reasons, plot and gameplay.

Junctioning on paper sounds great, but having to sit around drawing magic to equip to make your stats go up is really annoying, and if you start using the spells, your stats go down. Of course this isn't really an issue, because the game is so damn easy, GF's are free and you can cast them EVERY TURN! Not only that but you are basically invincible while casting them.

Also the plot, the plot of FF8 is garbage. Its a soap oprah, a bad cliche soap oprah. Also some of the plot twist were just stupid

Also whats up with having almost everyone's ultimate weapon before the end of the first disc, that was just stupid.

Final Fantasy Twelve was soely displeasing. Not only are the characters blasé, but the story is just plain boring. It's nigh impossible to get into the characters. No one has much of a personality, they're too static and the plot is almost non-existant. The world is nice enough, but as I play it I forget what I'm trying to actually do and end up wnadering around for a while until I realize that I really don't want to be playing this game. Gambits, though a nice change and semi interesting, ended up taking the actual gameplay out of it. It's more like watching a movie. A boring sixty dollar movie that can't be refunded.

Okay, here's another one to the list of Most Terrible Waste Of Time Ever.

Final Fantasy: Tactics, PS.

Just borrowed this game, as I've heard so much about it. After spending hours in that tutorial, I start the game. Yeah, nice, a little prequel map, okay. That's nice. And then the real game starts.

You are a grand total of two soldiers, ageanst 4-5 equally strong soldiers, along with a guy that heals. Your only option is to attack, and you die in 4-5 rounds.

Okay, nice. First real battle, and you die. I actually expected that dying was intended, because that was impossoble. But nooo, you have to be able to beat them. Great, the guy following you dies in 1-2 rounds, and all the damage he does is HEALED. I manage to take one down, but that doesn't matter much as I'm overwhelmed by 2-3 other guys instantly. Oh, great. What an epic game. Edgeworth

I never seen so many Final Fantasy VIII bashing in my life. :udgy:

I personally think the worst games I ever played is anything Disney based, and Kingdom Hearts is no exception. (Sorry if anyone feels offended.)

(Disney should stick with solely making cartoon movies and nothing else. <_<)

Lord of the Rings on the SNES

Your sword was like 2 pixels long , the graphics would had been subpar on the NES , the music is practically non existant and so is the story.. this game is a huge pile of suck.

I usually only play really good games, so I haven't experienced anything truly painful. My biggest disappointment thus far is probably Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Recycled plot, horrible card system... not a fan. Not even remotely.

Oh, in that case, just straight up attack the enemy and gang up on them. They are fairly weak, and the panther thing (if I recall) is the only one that'll put up much of a fight.

Either way, it's not really fair to rate a game based on the first mission. First chapter, maybe.

I waited until I finished KH to officially declare it awful :D

Here is one RPG I hate...MUSASHI SAMURAI LEGEND. (SQUARE-ENIX, Playstation 2)

This game ruined the first Musashi of the story (Brave Fencer Musashi) and JESUS CHRIST, I don't even like the main character with that awful costumed look. The voice actors are so cheesy, the fighting is repetitive, one damn save point, but the only cool thing in the game is the TECHINQUES and some nice music.

And for last, the ending sucks BAD!!! Edgeworth

Also add Final Fantasy VIII as the storyline was weak and the main character is standoffish but the SUDDENLY, we're supposed to believe he likes Rinoa? I think not. The same flaws in storytelling came through in Final Fantasy IX only that didn't suck as bad as 8.

Aww man, I feel like I am the only one who LOVES FFVIII. Oh well, less people to deal with in the fanbases. XD

I don't like Rinoa that much to be honest. I wish they fix her character and attitude a little. She is nothing but a spoiled, ideal-driven rich military brat. What a turn off for some guys out there.

Heck, the only decent female character I can think of the whole Final Fantasy series is Celes Chere. Everyone else is either too wimpy, too emo-ish, or slutty. (Sorry for any Terra Branford and Tifa Lockhart fans feel offended.)

I.... only have 2 dudes. And I can only control one of them.... Other guy is a guest. I havn't had any options to select anything or anyone yet. It pushes me streight to battle. The only option I had was which tile I want to start on.

edit: according to the faq it says that reinforcements are supposed to show up, but I know I havn't seen anything of the sort.

(also, you're right about the fact that one shouldn't judge it from the first mission alone, but if a mission is so hard that it cannot be completed, then the rest of the game is not achivable, and shouldn't be taken into the rating of the game. I can't get past the 3rd or so mission in any Command and Conquer series besides Tiberium Sun, and therefore I don't like the series. If a game is so hard you cannot complete the first mission, which is supposed to be childs play, then it fails as something I don't want to waste my time on.)

I also guess it is because I am seriously pissed off at the length of the tutorial. I wanted to go through it because the game seemed to have a rather complex organisation system. But even with the knowladge from a tutorial you can't possibly take on 4-5 guys (along with a healer) alone. You might be able to if you could heal and had a larger level than those. But that's not really the case.

If you're talking about the very first non-prolgue mission where Ramza and Delita chase a group of thieves out of town...I hate to tell you, but you can set up to 5 units for that. You just have to place them into position on the pre-battle screen.

Maybe you should try reading the instruction booklet :P. Generally, if you can't beat the first level of any game, you're probably doing something wrong.

pre-battle screen? You mean that screen where I can move the main charracter arround?

I though that screen was odd, it didn't mention anything about it in the tutorial.

I'll have a look and see if theres anything on that screen I can control.

edit: Crap, I noticed what I did wrong. I'm surprised it wasn't mentioned in the tutorial, that screen is alot more important than the status screen.

Didn't notice the L1 and R1 icons.

Virtua Fighter 2. (The SEGA GENESIS version)

That port was terrible. It wasn't like the ARCADE ORIGINAL and the fighting was choddy and laggy...I have it on a compiled collection of the SEGA GENESIS COLLECTION. (Playstation 2)

I hated Final Fantasy VII. I tried to finish it, trying to like it because all of my friends LOVE IT SO MUCH, but ugh. All I can do when I play it is sit there and make fun of the characters x_o;

I also don't like any Sims console/handheld games. It's only fun on the computer :[

Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 for the PC. Awkward controls.

Final Fantasy II. I didn't like that one. Bleh.

And lastly, Mister Mosquito for the PS2. No one's ever heard of this one. You play as a mosquito and every level is you trying to drink X number of tanks of blood. It could be a lot of fun if the controls weren't so awkward. That's really what made me not like it =\

Edit: Oh! And I hated Final Fantasy Tactics. It's not that it was hard for me, it was just boring. Even really simple battles that could have been over with in a few seconds in all the other FF games took several minutes. Ugh.

And I really, really, really hated Trauma Center and I'm not fond of Hotel Dusk, either.

A pitiful attempt at making the Sonic Series "hardcore." As a loyal fan of FPS's ,open world shooters, and action flicks, I know how to make a game violent but not to violent. God, it's like we're thinking the exact same thing. Shadow the Hedgehog was a poor title - it sucked so bad that GameSpot felt bad for Sonic fans, and gave it a 4.8. It's even worse than the score given, but hell, it's GameSpot. That game was just a filler, and a desperate try to appeal Sonic and Shadow to older men and women. Although, they didn't actually realize that if you tried putting a furry thing together with weapons, you'd just get a shit title, otherwise known as this. As for TimeSplitters and Mercenaries, we've got the same opinion. Both of those games are really good FPS' titles, and the sequels to the first few only get better. As for me, I own Mercenaries 1, and all the current TimeSplitter PS2 titles to date. However, I haven't beaten them all - as some of the challenges can get a little frustrating, and some are out-of-reach on some occasions.

I believe I only need 15-20 more characters on TimeSplitters 2 to complete it - and 2 more suits on Mercenaries to beat the game completely. However, I just got bored of Mercenaries after I beat the first boss, because it was hell to beat him the first time. In fact, it took me about 8-10 tries to beat him, because I kept hitting fighters, but the snipers would hit me and kill me before I could reach the end. The final boss of the stage was easy, although, just getting through that first line and reinforcements was hell. That's why I haven't picked up the title in months. I don't honestly know if I could go through that crap again.

Please save yourself some time and money - and don't buy Shadow the Hedgehog - it's probably the worst game besides Big Rigs: Over the Ridge Racing or Superman 64. I mean, for all I know, some people may have liked Shadow the Hedgehog. Although, I have a different opinion about it. It's just one of those titles that sucked so badly that you can't really say anything good about it. I regret ever renting that game - because my brother said it sucked, and I knew it sucked. I just wanted to see what it really worked like.

I see so many people say this. "Get rid of Sports titles, they aren't any good." however, it's just your general opinion. Some people actually like playing Basketball 2K and EA titles because they're actually interested in the game. That's all their trying to throw out - some people want to play those kind of games. Same about Madden - people want to play those kind of games just because they love the sport. In this case, I see that you don't really like those games because you don't have a real interest in the sport. I also see you have a love for the sport of Fencing. It's all just opinion.

For Bible games, you see that a lot of people today are religious somehow. Therefore, people thought that they'd make a reasonable amount of money if people bought their Bible games. It's more for the younger children, of course. The parent will buy the game for the child, and the child will eventually grow up believing whatever that game tought them. It's like going to Church, but not actually attending it. Just another way for developers to rake in the cash from ignorant people.
