Sounds awesome, but I hope it doesn't slow down the flow of Ace Attorney games... I want Gyakuten Saiban 4 sooner rather than later. D:

I wonder if it'll play anything like the Ace Attorney games. Regardless, I'm looking forward to this, since I'm a fan of both Adult Swim and Phoenix Wright.

I don't think we have much to worry about. According to Joystiq, while Capcom is the publisher, it's developed by High Voltage Software. So I think it's safe to assume we won't be seeing Takumi's magic.

Here's a list of some of their games.

I honestly don't know the Developer Publisher relationship cycle. Capcom could hypothetically license out the GS Engine Formula so you might see some similar elements (Like how that Crash Bandicoot Racing Game used the Mario Kart Double Dash Engine), but that's just me guessing.

Potential absence of the Gyakuten Saiban development staff not withstanding, my only other concern is that this is a licensed title. Normally games based on movies, TV Shows etc tend to be really bad compared to a game developed independent of an established franchise.

Buuut, this appears to be an adventure game, so the rules can be different. So I'm going to give this title the shadow of a doubt and buy it when I see it, unless the reviewers tell me it's seriously not worth my time.

Or maybe because they wanted more out of the presentation this time. Voice acting would make this game much better than a text-only game.

"ha-HA! Cookies on dowels!"

Jokes aside, I REALLY hope this turns out well. I have a PS2 lying around gathering dust anyway, so this will be a nice change of pace from my 360 life. I just hope it doesn't turn out like so many other tv==>game adaptations do...

I may purchase this, depending on reviews and the like seeing as I have a PS2 that only sees use from Disgaea 2.

I would love to see this as I loves the TV show (but can't find the DVDs) but I wish that it would have been a DS game instead of PSP or PS2. I'll just have get it for the PS2.
