I've read some impressions from some people who have *ahem* *nudge, nudge* the game, and it's a mixed response. I know I'll love it anyway, since I'm a fan of Wright's work (funny, since we're on a PW board, haha), and Spore is just too awesome to deny.
This, and StarCraft 2 are the two PC games I've been waiting for, forever...hopefully SC 2 will be released this year as well.

Europe sometimes gets better treatment than America, such as with Mario Kart Wii (you guys got that like 3 weeks or something before us) and the Tingle game (it was never released here).
What stage are you on? I've heard that the creature stage gets repetitive.

And so what if the creator is the creator of the sims? The sims is a boring and repetitive game. SO why is everyone making a fuss about Will Wright is the one who created spore? The sims aren't that good, aren't they? He's not that awesome, is he?
guess I have to play the game first before making further comments.
First impression really is important, yea? Now I'm not feelling like buying the PC version after playing the DS version.
I'll play it at my friend's home, maybe...

Tribal stage is tougher in a way. Though that's probably because now I actually get penalized for doing bad. Now 2 differant tribes hate my guts. My tribe attacked an enemy tribe but couldn't kill their main hut, but these other guys started hating us too and launched an attack on us, I think the only tribal members left might me my cheifton and a kid. Any tips?
Oh ya, and I did take over 1 tribe already. I allied with them.
Also, does physical creature creator stuff matter after you get to tribal? I took a bunch of stuff off my species like wings and shooters, does this make them worse or anything?

Spore DS is a differant game than Spore PC. Seriously. It's a spin off, not a port. Don't judge it by a handheld spinoff.
And the reason that everyone is so excited about the creator of the sims being behind it, that's because a lot of people (including me) like the PC/Mac version of The Sims. Do you mean the actual sims games or the console/handheld ones which most of the time aren't that good? Maybe the DS version of Spore is like all those console versions of the sims.
Though if you really hate sims, you might hate Spore. Maybe.
You may want to try it out.

Urbz DS was good, but which ones have you played? Have you ever played the PC/Mac version of Sims 2? It's a lot better than the console versions.

Also, I would get Spore Creatures, the DS game. Just I would wait a bit for a price drop. It makes a good game for roadtrip when your away from Spore.
