Basically. He's talking about the Chicken Knife.

Personally, I prefer the Brave Blade; it gets weaker every time you run, but I don't run from fights anyway and it starts with a base attack higher than every weapon in the game except possibly Ragnarok (never got it.)

Post subject:  Re: Final Fantasy

I prefer the chicken knife myself. Even though it's overall attack is weaker than the Brave Blade, it's agility more than makes up for it and since it's a knife, more classes can equip it rather than the restrictions of the Brave Blade. I've found it overall more powerful on my runs, but that's just me.

Yeah, the chicken knife is amazing to use :)
the dark mage class is extremely fun to use.
Too bad you get it after endgame...

My team consists of Terra, Locke, Edgar, Sabin, Cyan, Gau, Celes, Setzer, Strago, Relm, Mog and Umaro. I was stupid enough not to save Shadow and I have no idea how to get Gogo. I've also finished all the sidequests and almost all my characters are in level 36 or something like that. Am I ready to take on Kefka or what?

Although... I wish the game could have lasted longer. :sadshoe: I loved every minute of it.

Got up to level 36? Is FFVI really that short, or am I missing something? ._.(*is probably going to buy it, so wants to know*

It's pretty short, yeah. The first half of the game is very story-driven and deep (although not very long) but most of the stuff in the second half is optional. The reason why my level is so low is because I hate grinding.

I started a new save file - this time I will grind a lot more and I will also save Shadow. ^^

SOONER OR LATER they'll make a FF7 remake for Wii or DS or PSP. I mean, it's FF7. It has to happen, eventually... (Right? T_T)

Thats what everyone says, Wii won't get it for sure. DS neither I'll bet
They better not let it slip to Xbox like they did 13.

I mean FF7 is an iconic Playstation Classic they'll probably keep it on Sony's systems.

However think of all the work they'd need to do, all the cut scenes they'd need to voice with the alternate dialogues and the redoing of EVERYTHING.

I dunno....theres been too many rumours for me to really trust in a FF7 remake anymore. :yuusaku:

Since they have FF7 in the PSN, I don't really think they'd release it to Sony. It would be releasing a WiiWare on a disk... But if they put it on XBox, that would be horrible T_T

...Really? On forums I was looking at (b/c I had a hunch that you needed a PS3 to get FF7 on the PSP, so I did a little googling) it sounded like you download FF7 to your PS3, and then connect your PS3 to your PSP and transfer it... or something.

You have to download Sony's media manager program and it transfers the game to your memory card for you. If you just tried to drag and drop the game into there without the program, it doesn't work. Kinda like how itunes works.

If you have a Playstation account and a wireless internet connection your PSP can connect directly to the PSN store and download it (as long as your system version is up to date). You don't need a PC or PS3.

At least, I know you can download trailers and demos that way, I've never tried to buy and download a game just on the PSP. But I never had to pay for MediaManager or whatever.

They recently released FFT on the PSN as well, and it's a million times better anyway!

Okay, well... I'll see about getting MediaManager for free, or downloading directly to the PSP. (Arrgh! I don't know! Hopefully something will work...)

And if they released FFT on PSN, then I can get that instead of WotL :3

EDIT: Aevitas, that's a link to download MediaGo. Are they the same thing...? (There is one little bullet at the bottom of the features about PSP games, so maybe it works just as well... I guess I'll see when I finish downloading.)

EDIT2: Downloaded. Here's what it says about FF7 in the store:

Purchase this PS1 Classic and play it on both your PS3 and PSP systems!

(FF7 Summary)

Download this PS1 Classic game today and experience the adventure of a lifetime!

Transferring to a PSP system from your PS3 system:

You must be signed into the PSN account that originally purchased the game.
You must have at least 1.32 GB free on your Memory Stick Duo. Connect your PSP system to your PS3 system with a USB cable and switch your PSP system to USB mode. Highlight the game on the PS3 XMB, the (triangle) button and select Copy.

PC Store Customers:
Log into your PSN account that you originally used to purchase the game. Then, download the game from your "Download List" in the PSStore onto your PS3 system.

This title has been converted from the original PS disc to the PSP and PS3 systems. Consequently, there may be times where the title plays differently from the PS disc version, or where some features may not function properly. This version does not support PS peripherals (controller, memory card, multitap), therefore functionalities such as multiplayer, versus, and co-op modes are not available.

(Legal stuff)

So... what does that mean? ._. Even the PC store customers thing says to download it to the PS3...

As far as I know, that's just telling you how to get it from your PS3 to PSP. Now, I haven't downloaded FF7 directly from my PSP (yet, anyway.) But, I have downloaded Suikoden, Crash Bandicoot, Guilty Gear: Judgement, and KoF: '99 and several demos, videos, and wallpapers/themes, directly to my PSP. So, I can't say anything about FF7, but, if it's the same as what I just listed, you should have no problems.

EDIT: Oh, one warning. Considering FFVII is 1.2 gigs, depending on how fast your internet is, it'll probably take a while to download.

I'd still say fairly early in. Probably around 20% I'd say. You still got a good chunk of game to go through and it only becomes more awesome. Dark Knight doesn't really last that long and thank goodness because it wasn't too too great in game, although Darkness is a nice ability in the DS version.

Not sure about that, it's Amano's artwork, he can't really draw anything manly unless it's covered in armour (Golbez) or has facial hair (Yang).

FF9 is good...but there's something about it that bugs me but I can't determine what. I like the game but I've never been driven to sidequest much on it which is odd. Maybe....

Necron: Hi! Let's fight!
Zidane: Them's fighting words!

Is what bothered me about it.

FF8 was ok, I got a bit lost in the confusing Time Kompression plot.
