Ah Guilty Gear!

I've been a long time fan of the games, ever since the very first one for PS1. I have to admit, the fandom has come to disturb me at times as well, but I still like the games regardless~
My fav of the series would have to be GGXX for PS2,
And I'll admit, I do play for the story

So, the last one I purchased was Accent Core the day it came out for ps2,
but I am curious, does the game-play differ when using the wii? ^^ I always wondered how that would be handled....

Also, for sake of conversation, who is everyone's favorite, or top few fav characters? :)

If you got it for the Wii, eat your copy.

I miss this thread. Since Johnny Rainbow isn't here, I can talk about how cool Slayer is and how awesome I think Guilty Gear Isuka is.

haha, so you're not a fan of the wii version? XD *picked it up for cheap* and I have to admit, I'm not much for isuka, the foreground/background, and having to press a button to turn around really got to me :o ...too complicated for me to be able to enjoy~ and what's with the Leopaldon-thing? x_x;

*gonna stick with GGXX for ps2* at least then I have my story mode! :D *

Yea for me that version is still the best of the ones I've played so far. I'm growing fond of Judgment though, just because it's more convenient for me to play on a handheld these days.

Judgment was fun. Judgment himself was broken. Wish they gave him to us in an actual fighting game setting.
Accent Core Plus has a story mode. Get a copy now.
And damn straight I hated the Wii version. Since when was destroying TVs that you needed fun? Seriously. I'd rather get into an actual fight than play the Wii version since there's damn near no diff between the two.

So if I traded Judgment in for Accent Core Plus, would I be missing out on anything? Because I was considering it.

I hate reading Doken posts because he's always telling me what to do.

Would you rather be eating an Isuka sandwich or eating the disc? :P
I really suggest trading in judgment for accent core plus. You get your on-the-go story mode and get to practice with the new set of characters.

My mains are currently Axl, Johnny, and Jam.

Though I'm thinking of changing Axl with Testament or Sol.

I stopped paying attention to Guilty Gear after GG2 was announced as a 3D bizarro brawler whathaveyou. Fuck you Daisuke!

So are they even still making 2D GGs? I'm so out of the loop.

Nope. I've still only seen Accent Core at the arcades.

And I wouldn't really consider AC+ as another GG, it seems more a revision like GGX 1.5/Plus or whatever.

Oh, and Pickens, STOP THAT. >:(((((

I did see Accent Core at the store the other day for PS2, but with only two new characters is it even worth it? I'm tired of all their "we tweaked two things!" remix games. Why not give us something worth buying a new game for?

Maybe BlazBlue can fill the void of 2D fighter in my life...!

If you don't really care about Kliff and Justice or new art and other easter eggs, then it's not worth it at all in my opinion.

And I guess waiting for BlazBlue would be a good choice. It's not a bad fighter, though one I can't really get into personally.

I want to buy BlazBlue, but I don't know when I would play it. I'm still not tired of SFIV, I still play a decent amount of Soul Calibur, and the MvC2 rerelease comes out next month.

I still want to try it at the very least though.
