How many of Capcom's games have a count down, usually to an explosion, in the game?

Almost (all?) the RE games have a countdown to something blowing up at the end of the game

Several of the MM spin offs (MMX, MMZX, etc.) have a countdown of sometype in them, not in every game but in quite a few at one time or another.

Dead Rising lives off a countdown to complete all the scoops and story, and even has a mission where you have a set time to defuse bombs :meekins:

Lost Planet's core gameplay involves you trying to keep your slowly depleting counter (your themorenergy) from dropping.

Almost all fighters have countdowns to the end of the round, and Capcom popularized the genre with Street Fighter 2, and I do know fighting games existed before SF2 and some had countdowns before it. I'm just pointing it out.

The only Capcom game that I can think of that does not have a countdown is Phoenix Wright, you can spend hours just looking at the same piece of text with no penalty at any point in the game.

What other Capcom games have some time of countdown or timer that pushes you ahead to complete a section of a game?

Dino Crisis. Part 1 and 2 (Even though it was ridiculously short) were great....but, Dino Crisis 3 for the X Box felt a little weird. (Alien mutant like Dinosaurs and outer space?! I don't get it...) The last was Dino Stalker. (With the use of Namco's Guncon, it is a fun shooter like Time Crisis)

Even though it tried to get popular with Resident Evil...it tried its best. It never continued that much anyway.

Limiting countdowns to Capcom is silly. They in no way overuse them more than any other gaming, movie or book company does. It's an extremely common plot device all-around, so why single out Capcom in particular?

My favourite countdown, 99 Seconds per Round. GO FOR BROKE.

I kind of agree with Orca's point, but, since this topic is about other Capcom games that have a pivotal countdown in them, I'm going to go ahead and mention the relatively obscure arcade title Quiz and Dragons, in which you have to answer a question as quickly as possible to recieve more points, and proceed to damage the enemy. If the timer runs down, you screw up points, if you answer incorrectly, you lose a life. I swear, in that game, if you don't know the answer, you might as well randomly guess. At ridiculous speed. - And pop several hundred credits in.

Da-dumb. :franny:

Yeah, I mean, ALL of SNKP's fighters have countdowns! What's up with that!?

I know alot of games have countdowns (Metroid is famous for them) but I was just noticing how Capcom loves to put them in their games.
