Best E3 ever.

Metroid, Mario Galaxy, Golden Sun...

I never would have guessed any of this!

That SMG2 trailer seemed like the meaning of life.

I hear nothing but praise for Golden Sun; I'm sure it's blasphemy, but can someone give me a gameplay synopsis? It sounds like it might be something I'd be interesting in taking a gamble and trying.

It's a fairly generic rpg, but made with great production values. The story and characters are both cliched and uninteresting, but the game makes up for it with good graphics, gameplay and puzzles.
The game also has good length, a large amount of secrets and the sequel is even longer.

It's certainly worth a look, but It's not the "perfect rpg" that people claim it is.

edit: oh, right... gameplay synopsis: It's a turn based rpg, with an emphasis on magic attacks. On your adventures you can find Djinn (cute-monster type things), which are used for raising stats, strong attacks and summons. Magic is also usable outside of combat, leading to some interesting puzzles, although the majority are still of the block pushing-kind.

Golden Sun DS sucks Kingdom Hearts DS sucks Mario & Luigi always suck basically I have no reason to live

EDIT: In all fairness I like the look of C.O.P. but realistically it will S.U.C.K.

NEW ZELDA WII INFO AND ART
http://www.officialnintendomagazine.co. ... hp?id=9348 i just know some will beat me to this

Miyamoto said: "The story setting for this Zelda is, of course, in a completely different era and Link is older than he was previously. More approaching adulthood.

"There is one hint. Maybe from the art work you can see that he's not holding a sword,"
just so you know it cant be TP2 cause its in a new era

For some reason, when I read new era, I imagined Link in a corporate outfit, armed with a gun, fighting against Ganondorf and his mafia to save Zelda from her plundering debts.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

I think E3 was definately more exciting this year - well, moreso than the last couple of years have been, at least. The show floor appeared to be very energetic, the games were more interesting, and overall it was just a much better show, especially in the press conferences.

\I'm not sure how well Microsoft and Sony's new control methods will do. Project Natal, while a very innovative concept, just seems very awkward to me. It's one thing to play a driving game with a plastic shell in your hands that you can feel and keep form with, but it looks strange to just hold up your arms in the air and pretend to be holding a wheel in your hands. I do like it can do true 1:1 motion, recognize you by voice and scan real-world objects, though.

Sony's motion controls, though, just look like a mesh of both Project Natal and the Wii Remote put together. It's still interesting, though less original than what Nintendo and Microsoft have to offer, and it really shows. The controller designs themselves aren't very good looking, though they say it's still in the conceptual stage, so I question whether or not they should have demoed it at all; I suppose they didn't have much of a choice if they wanted to keep up with the competition.

In terms of what interested me the most, I'd probably say what Nintendo has coming down the pipe for the Wii and DS. Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M and Golden Sun DS were the highlights of the show for me, though worth of mention is New Super Mario Bros Wii, as I did heavily enjoy the multiplayer of the original. There's also Monado: Beginning of the World, which Nintendo is publishing. Nintendo's conference was arguably the weakest of the three, as they hardly had any new tech to show off (aside from that vitality sensor thing), but the presentation overall was much, much better than last year's.

The third parties also have some cool stuff coming along. Scribblenauts looks to be a great game just from the demo, with several ways to solve the puzzles; I think this is the only game I've ever seen where you can tie balloons to a beached whale, then conjour up a fan to blow it back into the water. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is shaping up well, though I wonder just how they'll keep things fresh a sixth time around. No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle looks like it's going to be just as crazy and unique as the original, even just from the trailers.

Overall a great show. Now, they just have to keep it that way for the coming years.

EDIT: Oh, and here's a bigger, clearer version of the Zelda artwork shown at Miyamoto's conference.

If you use that girl to hit people with it will be funny.

Honestly I want Link to use an axe. Because I love elvish looking people with axes.

Preferably muscular as well. Just that slight hint of androgyny with masculine traits gets me all a-twitter.

And now I've put my thread into creepy mode.

I'm guessing by now you've all seen the 'He just doesn't give a fuck' distracted translator (will become meme) from Sony's GT PSP conference.
If not, where have you BEEN?

games that got me excited:

Nintendo - Golden Sun DS, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, Metroid: Other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Microsoft - nothing since i don't have (and don't want) a 360

Sony - Assassin's Creed 2, God of War III, Uncharted 2, Metal Gear Solid: Rising (i know, I KNOW. this was announced during the Microsoft press thing but Kojima said it would be released on the PS3 too...and should be ONLY for the PS3...

games in general: Batman: Arkham Asylum, Mafia II, Brutal Legend
