I just like my Dorf. Especially given the other Alliance females (I was rolling on a server with friends, and we all chose female characters with names comprised of the same four letters. Since one was a Human female mage and the other a NE Female Priest and I didn't want to overlap, I was a Dorf Female Pally).

I dunno, I just liked her. The humans are too dainty, the Night Elves too skinny, and the gnomes too tiny... but my Dwarf chick? You slug her in the face... she spits out blood, cracks her jaw, cracks her knuckles, and then punches you in the breadbasket. She's the only alliance female that looks like she belongs on the front lines, IMO.

Gnome Females are the cutest things EVER.

DO NOT UNDERSTAND. TOO MUCH GEEK TALK.

I got a World of Warcraft free trial from Gamestop to try it out. I was going to go straight for the Horde, but I figured since I hated Alliance in the original games, I'd play as them since I wouldn't have if I was going to buy and subscribe. So I picked a Human Female Mage and ran around half-naked for fourteen days while jumping around and asking people to "DISTURB MY FACE PLZ <3" for shits and giggles. After a while, I got bored of it and start playing for serious.

I got to level 22 before my time wore out. I'd have to thank the horny losers who constantly asked to party with me for that, as it made dungeoning much easier. (I don't know WoW-talk ;_;)

I also got to witness four night-elf "females" (lol ya rite) pretend to have sex on the bed of an inn. That was pretty funny.

If I ever do buy and subscribe, I'll be a Mage again. Just Horde that time.

I wouldn't really say Shamans are getting nerfed. Elemental Focus is the only thing getting nerfed, and even that isn't too bad. Considering it procs when we crit, and I personally have a 20% crit chance on lightning bolt/chain lightning.

I do find it humorous Shamans get buffed when they went Alliance, and Paladins got nerfed when they went to the Horde. As of now I'm working on hitting 70 with my Shaman to make a 2v2 Shaman Arena Team with a friend of mine.

Working on a 50 Tauren Druid, and a 66 Orc Hunter as well. As of now my account is frozen, havn't bought a gamecard yet.

Used to have a level 23 Blood Elf Hunter as my main, but now it's a BE Lock. Cuz I had to change servers to the one where Prosecutor Payne is on cuz he's level 43 and he can run me through RFC, WC, SFK, and maybe even BFD.

I love Blood elves, yes. HORDE FTW! Used to be an Ally.but Horde actually HELPS ME when I'm about to die. The only thing I actually miss about the Allies is Stormwind. ;_; Can't it be Hordified? I like the Undercity, Silvermoon, and all.....but Stormwind is the best.... I also miss the Deadmines, Hordies can do it, but It's a bit annoying to get to Westfall. Ya get ganked.

Yeah...I'm a Hunter/Lock person. I like having pets... Even though they're the easy classes to play, they're awesome.
You know, this is a sig.

The Blood Elves just dont feel like the Hoarde. As a long time Warcraft fan, it sort of just doesn't mix well with me. When someone says "Blood elves rock, go the Hoarde" it just seems so off.

Elves blow. Big time. And the inclusion of an elf race in the Horde just feels like betrayal to me. They don't mix at all.

The lore all makes sense and it's worked in so it's not just random stupidity, but Elves and the Horde just feels so wrong. It's like shoving "good" trolls into the Alliance.

If anything, the Blood Elves + Undead should have made their own faction.

And then the Horde should have gotten Pandaren.

Pandaren are AWESOME.

I think The Scourge (or are they The Forsaken now?) should definitely have had their own faction. As well as High Elves and Elves whom I forget what their faction name was. I really liked what Warcraft III had done and wished WoW had kept that setup.

Feathermoon US native here. Yes, it's an RP server. Laugh all you want, I think it's got one of the best RP communities, and like any other server it's plagued with numbskulls that you just have to ignore.

I have a link to Feathermoon.net, a website set up by FM RPers for FM RPers, in my signature. Just click the little WoW linky under the cute couple~

It's true that a lot of people, especially RPers and "Hordecore" are upset by the addition of Blood Elves to their mix. From what I've seen there is a lot of division within the Horde about that, as the Blood Elves will keep to their own because they're the race a larger gamut of RPers are drawn to, compared to Tauren et al. It's the same way with the Forsaken as well - people just love "Humanoid" characters too much.

When you boil it down, elves are just humans with hypersexualized traits, but that's another story.

In the end, from a game design (and frankly, from a lore design) perspective, I think the Blood Elves make sense. They're supposed to be "together yet seperate" with their Horde compatriots, they're a naturally xenophobic society, but they will do what they can to survive (and their closest Human allies, Lordaeron and Tirisfal, were all but wiped out or turned into Forsaken, so I don't see them allying with the southern kingdoms that took charge of the Scourge cleanup and thus were probably responsible for the schism that was bred in the events of The Frozen Throne).

As much as fans, nerds, and geeks all want to have more than two factions, the theme of Warcraft has always been Horde vs Alliance, and I think it would be a major violation of the universe's original spirit to remove that "two sides of the coin" theme.

...Horde and Alliance are like Phoenix and Miles. There's a definite rivalry dynamic going on there.

- -

Personally I wouldn't lump roleplayers into any kind of stereotype, because just like any other player - PvE or PvP - there will be different preferences for style, different skill levels, and different standards. Whatever path you decide to choose, it's up to you to make the most of it and find people who contribute to the true essence of any MMORPG - social gaming.

- -

BTW, Holy Hell... Dead girls don't say no :B

Horde would hurt Alliance with its buttsex >.>

The Rundown:
  • Night Elf Druid / Male
  • Human Rogue / Female
  • Human Priest / Female
  • Human Mage / Female
  • Undead Warlock / Female
  • Night Elf Hunter / Female
  • Orc Rogue / Female
  • Blood Elf Paladin / Female
  • Draenei Mage / Female
  • Tauren Warrior / Male
So that's all ten character slots on my server! I originally planned for more Horde characters, but I met my bestest friend forever through WoW T3T and then we rolled lots of characters together and somehow that ended up being more Alliance characters for me. Also note that a majority of my characters are female. I <3 BOOBS

So if I want to play my beloved Horde characters that I originally planned I'd have to go to another server, which isn't such a nice prospect for me... I like feeling at home on Feathermoon.

T3T is a smiley with puckered lips. Think Tamagotchi. ^3^ ;3;
