Just an interesting question I was mulling over myself earlier today, pick one of your favorite games, one you think warrants a sequel, but has not recieved one, and talk about what you would include in it, what you would take out from previous games, story, etc.

I'll post mine later.

Radiata Stories 2. The first one was too vague an ending and not enough boobs and gay dating. So I'd answer some of the back story questions, add more gays, more gay loving and bigger boobs. Obviously that would make the game great.

That said, a prequel with Elwen would work too, and Nyx's story about how he lost so much of his body, gah too many unexplained little things.

I would so have to improve the fighting system, it was so damn easy, maybe go towards the Star Ocean levels of difficulty and achievements, but saying that, not a huge Star Ocean fan at the moment.

Fewer farmers too to recruit, it is like Suikoden with the recruitment and in both games Farmers suck! as do children, out with the children! More Dark Elves maybe?

New Kid Icarus game. Homing arrows with the same bow system of LoZ: TP Wii, and new characters and powerups. On second thought, make the homing arrow a powerup, and give Pit the bow he has in SSBB.

TWEWY 2. but i wouldn't call it that, because then it would make 'The world ends with U2'....and that isn't right....Dunno what i would call it, but i have ideas!

Gameplay probably wouldn't change too much, the story's the main point.

Spoiler: Lots of MAJOR TWEWY SPOILERS
about a year after the first one. A new 'game zone' is being set up in somewhere major - i dunno. Tokyo, maybe? anyway, the new composer contacts Joshua, asking him for potential testers, in order to test the reapers. Joshua suggests Neku, Beat, Shiki and Rhyme. The four of them are killed by Joshua (he comes into the real world to do so, or maybe sends someone to do it for him?) and the four of them are sent to the new 'game'.

They all arrive at different points in the city, and rush to find each other. Neku meets up with rhyme first, so they become partners. (first week = Neku+Rhyme) They soon find Beat and Shiki, who've also paired up. They slowly fight through the seven days of challenges, eventually fighting off one of the top reapers in the new game's orginisation.

Week 2: The four are set free and return to the real world, but the new composer starts the proper test, which will use real players rather than testers. The story begins to follow two new characters - brother and sister, who were killed in a car crash( the sister is about 16, the brother 13). The two of them are trying to figure out what''s going on when noise attack. The sister is erased, but someone steps in and makes a....bond thing with the brother. (Forgot what it was called. Partnership? eh.)

Anyway, this new person is another boy, another new character, with a similar personality to neku (when he was a miserable git at the beggining of the first game). The younger kid fights with pins, and the other one who saved him goes in the top screen with an AWESOME SAMARAI SWORD. (second week = OC+OC) they get through the week, with the miserable one slowly and relunctantly becoming friends with the other one, and fight with the reaper in charge of the game at the end. Unfourtunatley, in that fight, just before the end, the younger kid is erased.

Week 3: The kid with the sword is free, but decides to help to younger kid. So he travels to shiyuba, kills himself, (along with a random passer-by, to make sure he has a partner) and ends up in the original 'game'. Can you guess who this person is? Yup, it's Neku. (Third week = Neku+OC) the two of them attempt to save the brother and sister, (joshua's in charge of the new 'game' over the composer) And eventually they defeat....someone and rescue the two of them and stuff.

Lots of holes, but plenty of good stuff (in my mind). OC's, story, (It wouldn't all be revealed at once, the backstories would be made apparent slowly)..er....fanservice? Waddya think?

I don't want a second TWEWY, even though it's one of the best games I've ever played. It's just better off as a single game.

I kind of agree with Grancko. I haven't played TWEWY since it came out, and as there was nothing that truly made it stand out, I don't remember much of the story. But, I don't think they really set up for a sequel.

Wild Arms XF (PSP) sequel. Because unlike the previous counterparts in the series it's the first one where the main focus in the end doesn't end with the revitalization of Filgaia and there's enough room to play around with the world. The game really only focused on one country so ala Suikoden I'd base it in a different country starring a different main character (maybe one who isn't a goody two-shoes with an alturistic desire to save the planet) and deal with the system that Weishite brings up in the first game. And I'd probably throw in an older Clarissa as a party member

Spoiler: Wild Arms XF
Because she should be running around after the first game looking for the system. Plus, it'd be a good excuse to show how the line "eleven years later, the promise was fulfilled" comes to be

I would make some sort of Zelda game that uses the Twilight Princess Hyrule universe, and try to incorporate something about the Triforce in it (games haven't used the Triforce recently).

My idea was that there was a 4th piece of the Triforce-

-Some blonde guy who kicks ass shows up, and on his hand-> black upside down triangle in the middle of the triforce.

Elite Beat Agents 2. Must I even elaborate?

The only specific things I'd want would be a complete overhaul of that useless excuse for a scoring system, and well. Lots of Hip-Hop.

Oh, scoring system overhaul implies a few things. One, no more bonus for spinners. Two, no multiplier for mods such as "hidden". Three, combo count would not effect your score in any way.

There's an FPS game called XIII that I absolutely loved. It had a very comic-book feel thanks to the cel-shading, and David Duchovney was one of the voice actors! It was a great story line albeit a little linear, and the ending absolutely asked for a sequel (but unfortunately due to poor sales it was never released :payne: ).

But if I had to make a sequel...

Spoiler:
The president aka evil bad guy man, obviously would get his ass kicked as the final boss in the game. There would be gameplay more similar to Deus Ex, and a bigger variety of guns. Probably also a stat changer, similar to an RPG, but not quite. But David Duchovney (13) would have an epic opening escape and re-emerge with Eve to totally do damage and stuff.

There are two games I can think of that'll benefit from a remake. One is definitely MGS using the same engine as MGS4.

Spoiler: MGS spoilers
Hideo was able to remake Shadow Moses straight out of the box. Hell, even the bloodstains from Gray Fox's rampage on the B2 level after the electrified floor was exactly as they were in MGS abeit worn from the ages. It would be cool fighting Raven's tank using the new engine. I don't think Twin Snakes did it well for me given they tried to imitate the Matrix and bullet-time there in the cutscenes.

The other is a sequel to Need for Speed series. Shift is just a big no for me and Undercover was okay if you ignored the empty city. They should go back to the formula of Most Wanted and ramp up the bits that weren't so good. Add in a decent storyline (which EA can't seem to $#%*ing do!) and bam, instant sales.

Psi Ops 2: Mindgate's fall.

I'm especially disappointed seeing as Psi Ops clearly was supposed to get a sequel, the cutscene led on to imply "to be continued" as it lacked any closure. Also I felt it was a great fun game, there's nothing more fun than brain draining a guy till his head pops or throwing the giant ball of squishy death about in the training arena.

But I'd add in a lot of new psychic powers to the mix maybe add a multiplayer versus mode with new characters and old being playable.

And I'd actually END the series so another one would be needed.
