The 3rd Mario and Luigi RPG. Which looks AWESOME!

'Bout time someone made this thread. =P

I'm definitely getting this game after I finish Scribblenauts, even though I never played the first two Mario RPGs....

If I wasn't going through a financial dry spell, I'd be all over this game upon release. What I have seen from Japanese playthroughs (I can't help myself), it looks like it'll live up to its hype.

I mean, you play as Bowser! That's good enough for me!

I'm gonna have to get Layton out of the way first before I head onto this... blooming busy Septembers...

This game is HUGE and the best in the series, easily.

I got Partners in Time for free from a friend, and it is pretty good so far, so I'll probably give this a shot.

Partners in Time is the worst in the series - not that this says much, because the other two are simply brilliant.

Phew, that's good. I was worried that BIS would be worse than PiT after PiT was worse than SS.

I guess I'll definitely get this then :3 (At some point... -_-)

Wow...I'm in for a real treat then, I loved Partners in Time.

Then again it was my first Mario RPG experience since Paper Mario which I never got to finish.

Mario's saga definately has a good history of RPG's much to my surprise. WAY better than Sonic's

Though I don't get why everyone's head over heels for The Seven Stars. :yuusaku:

Something I wanted to hear. I loved the first game in the series and after seeing the disappointment of BiT, I got too skeptical about this game. Glad to see it got better.

YES I WANT THIS.

I've ordered it but it won't come until next week...

Yeah Partners in Time was a little disappointing after the pure brilliance that was Superstar Saga (though I still thought it was a lot of fun). I can't wait for this one. =D

That's because they're not too much of an RPG. You actually DO THING in battle, and stats are easy to oversee instead of the tactical and mathematical mastermind you need to be in some others.

Plus they're hilarious.

With Layton 2, Scribblenauts and this, my DS is laughing at me from Heaven.

I have to try Superstar Saga, then PiT and this. The RPG style in Paper Mario was amazing, so if this is remotely like it, it'll be awesome too.

Post subject:  Re: Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

It's the same kind of battle system, yeah. Other than that they're pretty different styles.

So when you say "Better than PiT", do you mean, "Not as geographically linear as PiT"? I know Superstar Saga didn't have branching story paths or anything, but come on, at least it felt like you were exploring a world, not just hopping into random time portals that lead to a series of rooms that you can only travel in one way.

Do these games have any linear plot (From game to game)? If not, I'll probably skip to BIS after PiT and then go back and play Super Star Saga.

Not really, they all have seperate stories.

Apparently, (well from what my friend tells me, I haven't opened the game up yet..) the overworld is REALLY BIG!

Given the "villain" in BIS, I'd REALLY suggest you go play SS first in this case btw...

"I HAVE FEAR!!!" :karma:

yeah, it's REALLY BIG

plus you can travel through the overworld as both Bowser and Mario & Luigi, which makes for very different experiences, and THEN there's Bowser's insides to explore too.

Is it Fawful? He's still in PiT, just as a badge shop worker.

Other than Fawful, I pretty much know nothing about Super Star Saga.

Yeah... playing SS would give you a little more insight into his motivation and reasons for wanting to come back... especially after his comments in PiT.

So I'll probably get SS first, considering I saw it for $11 on Amazon.

I think I had it at one point, but I must have sold it.

It's out in America already!?

Ya know, I pre-ordered PL2, and when I collect it on Saturday, I'll be pre-ordering this.

><

WHY SO MANY GOOD GAMES ALL AT ONCE!?

Post subject:  Re: Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

A must-have for me. I loved the last 2 games & it seems this entry will live up to its hype. PiT was ok & SS was excellent but this one looks a LOT better. Especially the bits with Bowser which look AWESOME! I'm actually listening to some of its soundtrack right now. Mario & Luigi's battle theme, the boos theme & the final boss theme are my favorites :3

Isn't it "I HAVE FURY!"?

Anyway, I can't wait for the PAL release, but I'll have to anyway.

Post subject:  Re: Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story

Not no more it ain't! Fawful has no need for fury now, for he is in large and in charge! Er... small and in charge. You get the idea.

This time around his catchphrase is "I HAVE CHORTLES!"

He used both NinjaMonkey... I just thought "I have fear" was more... chortleworthy ;)
