Better than 4-8, you mean. Nothing beats MP 2 and 3.

Either way, if Miyamoto is making it, rest assured it will be good. All of his original designs are the world's greatest hits.

Then Nintendo milks the **** out of them... <_<

Agreed. At least better than most of it.
It's also one of the most DS fun games I've played, next to (for a while) "Mario Hoops 3 on 3" and "Mario Kart DS".

Mario Party DS? Surely.

But Mario Kart DS is probably one of Nintendo's smartest moves. I mean, it's literally wi-fi gameplay of Mario Kart 64; the game everyone knows they love more than Mario Kart Wii. I don't know how many times I've seen game nerds playing it in school...

I'm going to pretend that in this post I showed evidence as to why the game isn't Mario Party just to see if anyone notices, simply so I can judge an opinion on the relevance of my debating this topic.

I'm just telling you how I felt of it. Maybe I didn't play too many DS games, but I felt those as really fun. What made MKDS fun was Wi-Fi, actually, that should be noticed. Thought I tried all of them on Wi-Fi, and they were all even more fun.

Is it me, or has the post being deleted from Martinet's twitter? Umm... This should be taken as a confirmation, then.

If anything, actually, I hope it stars someone other than Mario. Well, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Peach and YOSHI (I don't like him that much...mainly 'cuz he sounds constipated when he does his flutter jump.) have all had thier own games... How about something with Daisy? (die-hard daisy fanboy here. lol)

Nintendo never actually stops working on either Mario or Zelda games; as soon as one comes out, they're already working on something new, so Martinet's twitter "confirming" a new game isn't saying much.

Ah the Mario franchise. How long has it been since it first came out?

I still remember playing the original SMB on my GBC. That was both fun, and frustrating. NSMB was a lot easier, though that may be in part because I am a lot older than when I first played it, but mostly because NSMB is a lot easier.

This actually reminds me of an old complaint letter I wrote up in word a while back concerning Nintendo's main franchises...I'll just bring that up and see how much mocking I get from it.

I have my hopes on another Luigi's Mansion with Waluigi having an actual role. This is what I thought of for a plot.

Spoiler: Luigi's Mansion 2: Electric Boogaloo
Waluigi, the lying cheating stealing goon that he is, hears about valuable paintings owned by Professor E. Gadd that would net him a nice fortune. He breaks in to Gadd's house from LM and starts putting some of those paintings in his burglar rucksack, when he trips and accidentally hits the reverse switch on the machine. The King Boo painting goes through the reversal and King Boo is released from the painting. He possesses a terrified Waluigi, releases the other Boos and makes the mansion reappear (with a different design for new levels).

As for the final boss, instead of a Bowser costume, it's a Giant Waluigi. I can just imagine his long skinny legs trying to slam down onto Luigi.

Okay...heres a suckish plot for a daisy game!

Spoiler: Daisy: Teleportation Princess(sucky title...XD)
Daisy is simply going to visit Mario and Peach with Luigi, when a strange goomba with a top hat and a monocle, along wth a bushy grey mustache ushers them onto Daisy cruiser. (The goomba is an OC of mine, Goombsworth. How original, Toadsworth. Goombsworth *facepalm*.
Anyway, he takes them to Isle Granchio, where the volcano that powers the island has been covered up by a large rock. The Island is losing power and everything is disappearing. Daisy and Luigi (some other characters such as petey join in along the way) must rescue Isle Granchio before it is too late.
(Daisy can teleport in this game. Not very far distances but through certain walls etc. oh and BTW the koopalings are behind it. I love the koopalings!)

Wow, I'm probably the only one who thinks there's way more to the "Super Mario Collection" trademark that Nintendo renewed in Japan (it was on GoNintendo a while back) than just a straight port of the game, known over here as Super Mario All-Stars on SNES, for Wii Virtual Console.

And if they confirm Super Mario All-Stars Ultra, a la Kirby Super Star Ultra (which WAS quite fun) for the DS/DSi (this MIGHT be DSi only because of the graphical demands of some of the newer Mario titles that may be in this collection), then this would make sense. Especially since they could really bring all sorts of Mario titles into this new collection, like Super Mario Land, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Alleyway, and other GB titles, plus some N64 titles (like Mario Parties 1, 2, & 3), and some newer titles, maybe even some never-before-seen Mario games, and maybe even a Mario game maker built right within the game (I'd probably make mine easier, since a lot of the old Mario side-scrolling titles were so diabolically difficult), and you have a $30 wonder-value!

Well, it is if they have officialy announced "New Super Mario Bros. Wii" and "Super Mario Galaxy 2". How many Mario games can they develope at the same time?

They probably just started developing a new Mario game, since NSMBWii has been done for a while. Well, I guess, since it's scheduled for release in 2 weeks...

Now, kinda off-topic, it surprises me they still didn't announce the new Zelda for Wii, since Spirit Tracks should be pretty much done by now (release in December), so the new Zelda should be well into developement.
