I know that there is already few topics about Pokemon, but they are too specific. I think this forums need a thread like this in order to stop people spamming about Pokemon in other threads. So, feel free to discuss anything about Pokemon games and all other stuff related to them. But no spamming! Be polite, gentle etc.. I, myself, used to be a Pokemon fan when I was a kid, and I totally got back into them about a year ago. My favorite game will always be Crystal, though I think the new games are awesome too, I like almost all the new features that they've got in a DS. HG/SS remakes are my second favorites. =) I also wonder is there any fans of Pokemon Special (Adventures) manga? Because I'm a HUGE fan of it! ** It deserved to become an epic anime, but nuh.. it'll never be one because of that silly kid's show is already on TV. =( |

I kinda enjoyed Mystery Dungeon. Wandering around as Articuno=AWESOMENESS. Ranger was okay. I enjoy Platinum, but the stupid Darkrai from the September event won't get caught! Argh, it frustrates me. |

Gardevoir is hot. But Gliscor is my favorite. My favorite game is whatever the newest one is. 'Cause that's just how I roll. My first video game was Pokemon Firered. The manga's alright, not too much of a big fan though. The anime is good for the lulz. Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, and their sequels were really good! Platinum is fun. Gardevoir was available almost right from the beginning. |

You beat me to it, Satoshi. I've been a fan of pokemon since it's been out. Not into it as much as I used to be. I still play the games once in a while, I like the music in it. My favorite games are Crystal, Yellow, Emerald, Diamond, Leaf Green and Colosseum. I love Fantina. =) |

Oh, I was a huge fan of this back in the 90's when I was a kid. Anyway, I do admit that the spin-off games range from passable to downright bad. But the main games (excluding third generation) are fun. Not the best RPG by any means. My favorite is the second generation, and Umbreon being my favorite pokemon (design wise, if we're going battle wise then I like Snorlax). |

The only main series games that I'll admit being bad are Ruby and Sapphire. Emerald was a HUGE improvement. And the only good spinoff games were Mystery Dungeon and Ranger. |

Emerald - Fave Game Rayquaza - Fave Pokemon Salamander - Fave non lengdary. (I REALY need to igrate one from Hoen) I like Pokemon just to play with the Art and sprites. I LOVE hacking into it! I caught Darkrai and Shaymin today without going to an Event and Action Replay. Tooke me the whole day but it did it via the Tweaking glitch. I don't liek the anime/TCG/Mystery dungeon. But I LOVED Pokeon ranger! I kinda grew out of it and know just sit there building up extremly high win streaks at the tower andd playing with the Walk Through Walls cheat. (BTW Where is the house in Shinnoh with the three trees? I know the Hoen one is in Sootopolis and i've been throgh there.) |

I love Diamond, I got it for my birthday a couple of years ago (but I haven't played it in ages) R/S/E were fun too, especially the battle frontier in Emerald. Totally looking forward to playing HG/SS, I haven't played Johto in ages. |

I played only the first games of both spin-offs. In Mystery Dungeon I enjoyed the storyline, but the endless dungeons after it was too boring for me. And Pokemon Ranger is awesome, I loved the characters, Go-Rock Quads are just epic. =))) I have no WiFi, so all the events passing me. I feel kinda lonely without it, but still I can train a good team and make a cool shinys collection before I get some. =) My favorite pokemon is Gengar btw. =) Yaragorm wrote: The only main series games that I'll admit being bad are Ruby and Sapphire. I agree, they're kinda fail, but still playable. =) |

My favorite Legendary is Deoxys(Speed forme) Hacking Pokemon games with Action Replays is fun. But it corrupted my Diamond and now my Yanmega, Dusknoir, and Froslass are stuck in it forever... The story of the second Mystery Dungeon is way way awesome! |

I quite liked Ruby and Sapphire (they were the first ones I played, maybe that's why.) I hated the mystery dungeon games, I was terrible at them and kept dying in the dungeons. |

ment the Final version of Bagon. Deoxys is fine but it's hard for me to hack into the game since i would need to use Emerald and i don't have the lead nor the power to go through R/S/E I Like Gallade, but i Like the Dragon Types. If i can be bothered to post my art in two diffrent forums i willl stick my NPPC art here aswell, Acually i might upload them now. HACKING IS FUN! |

Red, Blue, and Yellow are so archaic compared to today's standards. I can't play them anymore but my best team kicked ass. It was something like: Articuno Zapdos Jolteon Venusaur Gyarados Mewtwo Beat the E4 so many times with that team. Whooping that ugly hag Agatha was the most satisfying thing in the world to me. |

Why two Electrics? I used to play Red and Blue quite a bit, but for some reason Gold and Silver never clicked. Series got too complicated too fast. I gave Diamond a try but didn't get anywhere. I'm sure I'll end up getting either HG or SS anyway, though. |

Anyone else agree that the first and second generations were the best? The third and DEFINITELY the fourth are way too unoriginal, and the pokémon designers ran out of ideas (I mean, have you seen Rotom? And it's new forms? A frickin' fridge, lawnmower, microwave, fan and washing machine?) |

Rotom has three immunities, which are quite nice and as of my party, he makes a good special sweeper as he covers ghost, dark, electric, and grass type moves for me which makes him pretty versatile. |

Maybe, but I just don't like reading manga DX I know what happens is a lot of it too because I used to spoil myself a lot. And awwww but the little characters in MPJ are so cute D: And it isn't very popular anymore, I tend to like stuff nobody else cares about. |

The remake of the second generation is arguably the best (Platinum is a good contender) but the first and second gens (Red, Gold, Crystal, etc.) were too unbalanced, slow, and lacking the variety and accessibility of the fourth - and even third - generation. Granted, there are a lot of Pokemon to keep track of but that's why you use GFAQs or a Pokedex Guide. |

Still, "Not really". Many of the Pokemon designs have been goofy since the first generation (i.e. Magmar, Lickitung, Jynx, Hitmontop, Smeargle, and especially Dunsparce). |

Honesty, its the new pokemon that keeps me coming back to the games. I can't see any other feature that would make me buy a new one. I just like starting up a new game and seeing what new pokemon they came up with. |

Lol I was sitting listening on oldschool pokémon music on youtube and then I found this thread in the new posts page. Pokémon was a really really huge part of my childhood. I guess it was the anime that got me hooked at first (lol the intro song just started in my head and I got nostalgic tears). I remember those days so well. Waking up during saturdays mornings and watching pokémon 8am. It took a while before I got the game myself but I was also watching and testing my friends games and got hooked. (I knew how to finish red before I got it myself). But when I got the game I played it alot. Always started with Blastoise and I remember my team being something like this. Blastoise, Fearow, Raticate, Arcanine, Vileplume(cutslave) and Raichu. I dont know how many times I finished my Red I would say over ten. Red is the only game I have but I played the other on emulators. (borrowed silver of a friend once thought) and a pirated copy of diamond(stupid ebay). Tbh the two first generations is the best. I didn't likte the third to much but the fourth was neat. So did someone else collect the trading cards? I did a little. I dont have to many of them but tbh I think I got much since I didn't buy to much of them self. I got many from people who gave away cards and stuff. And I think I got a booster pack or two on christmas once. I heard that someone spoke about the Pokémon Manga. I really loved it. Only read a bit into Johto but the Kanto arc was really really awesome. After I read it I was like "What the hell did they think when they was doing the anime? So as I said. Pokémon really was a big part of my childhood. I remember how we was playing pokémon at school and after school (I dont mean the games, just playing as you do as a child) Hmm I guess it ended up being a long post. But who cares. |

I end up buying pokemon games then not playing them past the first gym. I give up on them now, not sure why. I did see this picture and it amused me. Spoiler: Helluva not PC i'm sure I did like the music and played the original ages ago to death via an emulator, it was 'the thing' to do within my group, which is odd as a few of them were not 'geeks' haha. I always liked Scyther, shame it generally sucks. |
