I'm really, REALLY shaky right now.
Why?
Because I played Trauma Center, that's why.

"NO DUN'T DIE PLZ LOL~"
"Beeeeeeeee–"
"Aw, crap. *Restarts game.*"

I... actually got an "A" rank on 1-6 today (Under The Knife... I don't have the one for the Wii, but I'm sure I'd majorly suck at that one, too). I was like.
"HOW DID I MANAGE TO DO THAT O.O"
It was cool.

But yeah. Out of curiosity, have any of you ever experienced shot nerves due to Trauma Center? 'Cause I know I have!

Yesterday, me and my friends set a giant flat screen TV down on a bathtub to simulate an operating table and played Trauma Center: Second Opinion.

It was my first time playing it, but from the levels I played, it hadn't gotten remotely hard yet.

I have yet to see how evil this game is. :|

Graaaaaaaagh.
Stuck on Under the Knife - the mission, not the game. I've tried twice and failed... five Kyriaki patients in ten minutes? You can't be serious... I did the first patient in about four. But I just checked online and I had no idea you could gel the lacerations to stop vitals from dropping, so that should save me a good amount of time. Still, I have a feeling I'll be on this one for a while.

Eh, I hate Trixti more. Goddamn it, it broke my DS! Oh well, I guess I'll break my TV when I get Second Opinion.

*waits for all of you to play X1*

Seriously... If you're half a second slow on that one, your patient is a slab of meat, the Kyriaki is 10 times harder in this one. X.X

GUILT difficulties in my opinion:

Kyriaki: 3/10
Kyriaki in X1: 9.5/10
Deftera: 6.5/10
Tetarti: 2/10
Triti: 7.5/10
Pempti: 4.5/10
Paraskevi: 5/10
Savato: 3.5/10

X1.

That mission.

That goddamned mission.

...I just can't do it!! It's beyond me! I nearly broke my stylus, what with the rushing (OMG Life's at 02 must use Morphine), the difficulty and the speed and the OH GOOD GLAVIN!! THERE'S EVEN MORE OF THE SWORDY THINGIES!

*sigh* If you have cleared this chapter, I'll mention you in the People I Respect topic. :foam:

Now I'm stuck on X2 Deftera... >.<

I'm on the second Savato now... I was working on it in the car and had gotten past the web and past the shield. Angie was just telling me to attack the main Savato using something other than the laser when we hit a bump. OPERATION FAILED.
I was so close, too.

I find Savato one of the easiest GUILT ever, I S ranked "Death Awaits All" and "Final Sin" on my second try.

It was nerve-wracking but fairly straightforward. I had trouble keeping the vitals up and was on my toes the whole time, but I didn't have real trouble with it until the car wrenched forward. One of the little blue Savato had just formed and dropped the vitals by, what, 20? 30? I didn't have time to up them again.
I had more trouble with Paraskevi until I calmed down. I realized just where to hit the worms in order to freeze them without wasting time missing and wounding the patient.

Yeah! I must have restarted it ten times after having missed over and over, not only killing the time left on whatever organ it was currently on but nearly killing the patient in the process. I just got lucky once and went for the tail first and got it on the first shot - it was easy after that.
Thanks for not telling me about its weakness, Victor. I owe you one.

That and what he says to Derek before operating on Deftera X.

Paraskevi and Savato were challenging for me, but not hard. My worst nightmare is a little bugger called Pempti. You have to think on your proverbial feet else your patient's toast. ARGH.

Only one I'm stuck on so far is Paraskevi. Kyriaki in the mission Under the Knife? A little nerve wracking, but fairly easy with practice on easier stages. Deftera and Pempti? Both easy. Triti? No problem, surprisingly. Tetarti? Pathetic. Paraskevi? RAW MISERY. I end up cutting the Paraskevi parts too often and end up with enough lacerations to annihilate the patient. Gah.

X1 Kyriaki... Ahhh yes...

Never in my life have I ever wanted to rip someone's arms and legs off, pee in the wound, then throw them in a tub of salt and lock them in there for eternity then when I attempt to play that mission. I have shrugged it off as impossible and that everyone else is simply lying about there being other X missions.
The post has ended.

I felt incredibly relieved and shaky after I beat X1 and X5... those were murder, and X1 took me at least 20 tries. I've never been able to complete X7 to date, though, and it's really bugging me. =/

Under the Knife was a major game-block moment for me, too, but as soon as I realised that you only need to cure three of the five patients, I began to feel more relaxed about it, and I did it within a few tries with four patients. Awakening, the one with all the aneurysms, had me stumped for a while also, until I actually remembered I could use the HT. e_e

Is that the one with the five growing tumors? That one was a bitch, the first one I had real trouble with... sometimes the tumors spread out too far to deal with effectively. I beat it when all five were on one screen and could be managed that way. Luck of the draw, methinks.

I lol'd.

I think I know what one you're talking about. Zoom in, zoom out, inject, cut, place in tray, synthetic membrane, ointment blah blah blah. That one?

That took me a couple tries. It WAS pretty tough.

Wanna know my secret?

Spoiler:
Determination.

Keep at it! :gant:

The key is, once you've treated the first one, zoom in slightly below the two that spawn afterwards so they're near the top of the screen. The locations are actually fixed, and every single one after those lands in that region. Easy win.

I didn't have too much trouble with that game, but good GOD it leaves such a nice feeling when you beat a hard level that you've been stuck on for an entire day. I love how once you figure out your flow, you just totally breeze through it. It's a very nicely done game, and it actually makes you have to WORK and strain a little bit. Not many games do that these days.

How does the Wii version compare to the DS version, guys? I'm highly curious. Is it harder or easier?

The draining and suturing is ALOT easier on the Wii, plus some levels have been altered to make it more effective/realistic/challenging/annoying.

This sounds like a horrific game to start. I have trouble already just yelling at my TV for games not that hard because I can't control the character.
Play the text adventure where you control the action, like this user:
At any rate, this situation keeps getting weirder all the time. What will you do now?

Yeah. By far, this was the most intense game I've ever played. I'll just rank the GUILT from easiest to hardest from my opinion (from the X missions), I'm sure others don't share the same thought though:
-X4 Tetarti, basically a memory game, you have to be quick with your color coordination ;;
-X3 Triti. Once you know what you're doing, it turns out to be the least difficult, but possibly the most time consumming~
-X5 Pempti, IMA CHARGIN MY LAZERS. Hmm, this one's mostly an offenser than anything else. Be quick on your stylus, your patient's depending on it!
-X2 Deftera this one's SOLELY on luck. If they hit the same colors too many times, game over. Now where's that reset button?
-X6 Paraskevi, the worms. Yes, the worms. When you reach your last screen with them before they reach for the patient's heart, you're basically riding the pain train.
-X1 Kyriaki, seriously, this is just a huge mountain you have to climb to start off the X missions. After this, the missions are less painful to bear and solely depend on luck. This one depends on skills ><
-X7 Savato. Wow. If you thought Kyriaki was tough... Be ready to rip your hair out. Savato's meaner than ever, you remember his star cuts? Yep, they kill your patient immediately. Talk about nervous breakdown.

Although I can't believe it, I beat all the X missions. They truly are a big pain in the ass.

And a tip for all those stuck on X1: Use the antibiotic gel on the wounds so that way they temporarily stop bleeding, thus giving you a little bit of time to suture up those wounds. God bless you, Antibiotic gel.
