Fun wise, get a Wii. Buy pokemon Battle revolutions and zelda.
Wii's are also cheaper.
DS lites are good, but if you have one, and it works, hinge or no hinge, i'd stick with it and get a new console.

If you can't get M games, the 360 isn't gonna do you much good. And what Darz said about the DS lite holds true, the changes are cosmetic.

Xbox 360 core: Hell no. Do NOT get a core.. Get premium or an elite. I got a premium. If you want to experience teh best online gaming experience, get the Xbox 360. Games like Halo and Gears of War will/are on the 360 with good graphics.
DS lite: Hm...The DS lite has a brighter screen and it is lighter...I'm not sure if you want to shell out $129 (or less) on a DS lite if you already have a DS. Wait till your regular DS gets really fucked up.
Overall, i'd choose the 360 but if you are getting core then get a wii.

Or if you can do like me and trade-in with a 25% bonus while cleaning out your game shelf of games you wonder why the hell you spent money on, you can get rid of your DS to get a shinier DSLite.

The DS Lite is an awesome replacement to the fat DS and I didn't regret selling off my rare Nintendogs Bundle for it.
Sadly, all of the games that are interesting on the 360 are quite violent (Dead Rising, Gears of War, Halo 3, GTA4 etc). Might not sit too well with your parents.
The wii is nice, but there's not really alot of *great* games out for it yet. To be honest, I haven't played mine in months since I beat Zelda, but I'm still looking forward to the future games coming out for it.
I would say the DS lite. I ended up buying both of my sisters one for christmas last year and since you need a replacement, it's a no brainer.

Also get the Wii, Manhunt 2 comes out next month
. Seriously though, with SSBB this fall, SMG, MP3, and many other great games coming out soon you have no reason not to get the Wii.Also you have Pokemon right? Battle Revolution comes out next week and it will have online play and wifi hook up with your Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.
Also IMO the DS lite is worse, its smaller and brighter...woo... now I have the GBA sticking out the bottom (lame) and the stylus falls out the side (lame).

But I would say Wii because if your DS is still working then you don't need it,like the others said wait 'till it doesn't work.
The Wii has some pretty awesome games right now (an in the future)
