So, uh, topic.

For those who don't know, League of Legends is a free MOBA (Multiplayer-Online Battle Arena) game. It's a lot like DotA, if you played that in WC3. The gist is that there's 2 teams with 3 or 5 player-controlled champions. Each team has a set of "turrets", "inhibitors", and a "nexus"; each team also periodically spawn minions that try to go to the other side team and attack stuff. The champions have to go around fighting the enemy champions and minions. By destroying/killing enemy champions, minions, and structures, you gain gold (used to buy items to make yourself stronger) and exp (used to level up, in order to get stronger stats and upgrade your 4 unique abilities). Turrets are the main form of defense; if a team's inhibitor is destroyed the enemy will start to spawn "super minions"; the ultimate object of the game is to destroy the other team's nexus.

The game is completely free to play (although you have to download the client and it's kind of big ^^'). There are currently 99 champions. Each week, 10 champions are selected as "free to play" and can be used by anyone. You can also unlock champions in order to be able to use them whenever you want. The in-game currency is IP (influence points, gotten by playing matches) and RP (riot points, purchased with real money). Everything that affects actual gameplay can be bought with IP, however. (The only things that can only be purchased with RP are skins, which are only a cosmetic change, and IP/EXP Boosts.)

It can take a bit getting used to, but it's a really cool game. I started playing LoL about a month ago, and I'm hooked xP

Yeah, the people are terrible, but that's why you play with your friends, and take what other people say with a grain of salt when you don't xP It sucks when you have 4 friends, and then the 5th random guy you get paired up with sucks, tho. But I've done solo queue matches and wound up with perfectly fine people, so...

Yeah I only really play with friends, though there's more in-team degredation than other player degredation I've noticed when watching games. Unfortunately one of my friends is becoming more like the community I hate, getting really irritable at times sometimes don't play with him now. Tends to blame others for smart gambits on the other teams behalf or pure chance failures.

I think my summoner nickname is Pierre42, mostly play for a relaxing bot game with friends or occasionally customs with friends but I'm not opposed to a little Normal now and then so long as my team keeps their head cool.

I love bot games, but I've been trying to do more normal games now, to (1) make the push to level 20 to buy some runes!! and (2) to try to catch up a little bit to my friends, who all have 40+ wins while I have 11 xP
(There's also the fact that they gave away the free IP boost, and I'd rather use that on pvp games than bot games to get the most out of it.)

So, ummm...Anyone else watching the Season 2 World Championships?
I'm rooting for Azubu, but this match right now (Team W.E VS CLG EU)
...Let's just say it's taking long. :P
The game / stream has crashed now TWICE, resulting for restart of that match.
Both have one win ATM and since it's best of three, it's all on this last thing...
...But it's taking LONG...First; both play stall which takes log obviously.
...But add those crashes, times to fix it and remember the need to restart the current match...
...Yeah...They've played for 6 hours now, and it just began again.

...And there's the matches between Moscow Five & Taipei Assassins,
and Azubu Frost & either Team W.E or CLG EU.
...I'm not gonna go sleep anytime soon, but me and my skype chat team are starting to tire up a little now... :D

Edit; for the record; it's 4 AM at here right now...The match began at 22:00 o'clock yesterday... :D

Well, TBH I had a long pause from LoL and now few of my friends got me to watch it.
Sure; bit boring at times, but when some epic s**t happens, it's really nice and fun.
Ad I've even learned few basic tricks from watching this.
I find watching these quite fun, especailly since I even began to support for Azubu Frost
Then again, while watching I'm on skype call. Wouldn't probably enjoy as much if there wouldn't be few friends around.

I'm rooting for CLG EU, but only because of Froggen. I was so sad when it got cut out when they were about to win! In the latest game, they were ahead in kills but not in gold, so I don't know how I feel about it....

DoMaya happens to be the only name you guys should have on your buddy list.
But alas I am taking a vacation and the computers I've had to use are a mockery of my computer at home and I shan't sully my record of perfect matches by playing vidya games on such a shoddy piece of hardware.

Also, if the only champs you guys can play are Lux, Non AP Yi, Fizz, Jax, Riven, and/or Nasus, then don't bother adding me because I HATE playing with those scrub champs on my team.

Granted I occasionally like playing Jax if only for the satisfying THUNK THUNK THUNK of him destroying towers but why the hate for those guys?

Lux: Has a BS Ult, has a snare, AND a stun.

AD Yi: Focuses on attacking fast to be effective, thornmail makes him utterly useless.

Fizz: Horseshit excuse of a mid, takes no skill to play a Fizz and he's stupid powerful.

Jax: See Yi but only worse so.

Riven: Her bouncy skill deals AOE damage AND can be used as an escape.

Nasus: His Q grants an extra 3 damage permanently for every kill you get with it, (including minion kills!) His ult is BS, he slows, AND he has an AOE to farm with.




If you're going to play a champion, play one that needs some skill, not one that has an "I win" button.

Here's the best way of putting it, if your champ doesn't have a skillshot BUT can tower dive it's a scrub champ.

Nasus: His infinite-scaling Q is the only thing that makes him worthwhile. He has no mobility, no range, a single single-target cc, and a terrible earlygame. He's far from an "I win" button xP

(I want to become not-terrible at top, so last week I played Irelia, and this week is MANTHEON. I play Morde when forced out of top because he es numero uno huehuehue)

I played Nasus because I have a hard time playing against him as Wukong, and I hoped to find a weakness.
(This was during the time nasus was F2P)

The first couple of times I played him were easy victories, and I didn't learn shit.

You'll also notice that I played Riven a couple of times too, and she I learned how to counter.

Yeahhhhh BUT...I already have two accounts. One on EU E and other on W.
At first there was only EU, then it got separated and all my friends went to W. After long time; I decided to do that too and now I'm playing Tristana on W.
But yeah...I guess I could do that at some point. I just train myself to real pro first and then come amaze everyone at there lol.

But in nutshell...I have lv 12 account, lv 6 account (which I never use) so I might as well do one more.
