Hey guys So Super Smash Bros Ultimate has been out for a little while now and I'm just scouting interest here to see if anyone is interested in participating in a little tournament/league kinda thing. I remember having a lot of fun with this back when Smash 4 came out so might be nice to run another little thing. |

Depends on when it's going to be. I haven't played Smash 4 in a long time, and while I got Ultimate for Christmas, I haven't touched it yet. |

I'd be down for it, but I've also had numerous connection issues with Ultimate. Less input lag than Smash 3DS, but more random disconnects. |

Nice I've not tried their online systems yet, it worked fine for Monster Hunter but I think these things vary wildly between games. I didn't imagine we'd get enough people for a tournament necessarily which is why I thought we might do a league instead. Just one or two matches a week against each other to gain points. Or failing that entirely at least there'd be cool CR dudes to play with! Could record the matches and share them here to showcase our battles. To start with here's my friend code: SW-4272-7741-8034 |

Lone joins the fight! Is it that rough for ya? I'd think Splatoon needs it equally intense. |

I think Splatoon gets around it by not having the other player's movements/placements be exact in favor of your player having lagless controls. Something about them just being saved as integers on a map or something. That's why Splatoon lag takes the form of other players teleporting around the map, or picking up an item and taking a few seconds for it to register. Whereas player inputs need to be exact on Smash, something like that. I guess we could try a few practice matches to see how it's like. |

Me and Lone had a couple of smashes to test it out. Lag wasn't great but Lone thinks it's on their end. I had a couple online bouts after to test it and I think mine was ok. The fact you can only make an arena for friends and not change the rules once you are in feels a little rough though. |
