Just as the title implies, which of the 'uber-enemies' in FF and KH do you found the most difficult/best looking/swear-inducing/anything you wish?

My quick review of them all:

Omega (FF V) - one of the most infamous fiends ever, it's 4-move counterattacks used to drive me mad, until I discovered wonderful combination of X-fight/Rapid Fire, Two Swords and Magical Sword Bolt 3... In my opinion, one of the most overrated bosses ever.
Shinryu (FF V) - another well-known monster, but if you survive his initial Tidal Wave attack and have Two Swords, Rapid Fire, Golem and Berserk, it is possible to easily subdue him, since his is suspectible to Berserk status, and Golem will easily block his punches.
Omega MK II (FF V Advance) - One of the additions to GBA port, is actually easier than his younger brother, since he doesn't have any counterattacks at his disposal.
Neo Shinryu (FF V Advance) - One of the most powerful foes I have fought - his attacks' power is considerable, not to mention his farewell gifts - Meteor and Giga Flare casted consecutively. One of the foes that really made me prepare my team accordingly.... and swear from time to time.
Enuo (FF V Advance) - easier than Neo Shinryu, but still a force to be reckoned with - I had to repeat this battle several times to finally finish him off.
Dragons (FF VI) - nothing special, easy to find, easy to beat (Vanish + Doom).
Ultimate Weapon (FF VII) - very ultimate indeed - actually weaker than Seraph Sephiroth.
Ruby Weapon (FF VII) - if you have Knights of The Round - the most of the battle is just watching them punch the enemy.
Emerald Weapon (FF VII) - quite challenging, both in terms of battle and preparations, yet still not the most powerful enemy in the book.
Ultima Weapon (FF VIII) - my greatest dissapointment ever - after fightinh my way through all these Ruby Dragons and Behemoths I had expected a formidable challenge - yet the battle ended before it began at all (Lion Heart).
Omega Weapon (FF VIII) - Challenging, as long as you don't discover his attack pattern - and when you finally do, it is very easy do do him in.
Ozma (FF IX) - Dear Squaresoft, how could you put such bad enemy in such a great game? Terrible looks (a big sphere, gimme a break...), terrible battle (mostly based on luck)... surely the worst superboss ever.
Dark Aeons ( FF X) - even with proper preparations they provide a nice challenge - especially the stronger ones (Dark Bahamut or Dark Magus Sisters).
Penance (FF X) - one of the easiest bosses possible. Seriously. When using certain combination of armor (Auto Protect, Auto Haste, Def + 20%, Def + 5%) and killing his arms each time they regenerate, he won't be able to kill any character throughout the entire battle.
Trema (FF X-2) - the game is crappy, but this guy certainly isn't - even with Trigger Happy Lv3 and Cat Nip he is a challenge, especially that there is a big factor of luck included.
Omega Mark XII (FF XII) - not very sophisticated, but powerfull nonetheless. And merciless.
Yiazmat (FF XII) - I had to fight 13 stages for several days to beat him - this is just one powerful, mean and amazing-looking enemy.
Sephiroth (KH) - A strong enemy, but with powerful stats and Aerora/ Aeroga he can't do much harm to Sora.
Sephiroth (KH2) - one of my favourite battles - as long as you don't play on the beginner level, this battle is no luck and no stats but only personal skill.
I am currently playing KH2 Final Mix, and from what I have read, The XIII Battles and The Lingering Sentiment look promising. I can't wait to face them :phoenix:

OK, I am ending this tirade now.
Do not come between the Nazgul and his witness...

The Dark Aeons were really easy since you had Auto-Life on you.

A lot of people say that Yunalesca [from X] was really hard, but if you had something that protects against zombie is was easy.

There was one boss in X-2 I couldn't get through. I forgot what it's called though. It was in the 99 level dungeon, where after you beat it you get Catnip. I didn't get it, but I really didn't like that game anyway so it doesn't bother me.

Oh yeah, Ultima Weapon from VII was really simple if your level was pretty high. I don't really remember what level I had everyone in my party [Last time I played it was a few years ago] but I remember it being kind of easy.

I think the hardest boss for me on VII was that ghost thing you have to fight in that cave in Cosmo Canyon. I had to get the guide so I could know what to do.

I think the JENOVAs were alright. Not that hard but not exactly wth easy either.

Sephiroth KH1 > Sephiroth KH2
Sephiroth's (KH1) voice < Sephiroth's (KH2) voice

Am I the only one who couldn't beat Phantom? (KH)

Sephiroth in KH2 was annoying. As soon as you enter the battle he charges right at you and gets rid of most of your HP. You needed super fast reflexes for that battle. And yeah, he did have a better voice.

Another boss I found annoying in KH2 was the guy you fight at Beast's Castle (I can't remember his name. Something that begins with X?). He had about 7 swords that he attacked you with. I had to gain at least 8 levels from where I was before I could defeat him.

KH2 Sephiroth isn't too hard when you learn his tricks. Now KH1 Sephiroth, I couldn't beat him. Too cheap with his Sin Harvest Angel (or desend heartless angel, whatever) in that one

Wow, all the bosses in KH2 even KH2FM+ can be beaten without getting hit if you learn their attack patterns.

The only Uber boss I can't beat is Ozma in his most powerful form (if you do not do the friendly monster side quest to make him weaker), then again I never really tried :P

That's true. But when I entered the battle for the first time, I was taken by surprise.
And I agree, KH1 Sephiroth was insanely hard.

Okay, this is going to sound stupid, but I don't care.

Who is Ozma?

A sphere of stupid.

Often considered one of the most powerful and aggravating bosses in the history of the series.

He was in FFIX.

That's not the Dark Aeons Lord of Agmar was talking about. In the European version, there are Dark versions of the Aeons spread across Spira. They are incredibly strong, and require a completed Sphere Grid, the right equipment and a great strategy to defeat.

Yunalesca is a challenge when you first fight her, and you don't know what to expect, but once you figure out her strategy and find a way to counter it, she's a cinch. And it's not a good idea to use a zombie-protection armor for the battle, as her third form casts Mega-Death, which KOs any party member that isn't afflicted with Zombie. Unless you have Deathproof along with Zombieproof on the same armor (which is doubtful, since there are little enemies that can supply the right items before you get aboard the Airship), you're going to need to be vulnerable to Zombie.

I think I know what you're talking about. I think you're talking about the Black Elemental boss. The monster has an insanely high defense to make up for its measly 9999hp, and there is a Gunner ability which allows you to deal more damage to monsters with a higher defense. Use that, and it'll go down in no time.

Any boss in FFX is somewhat void due to Zanmato, IMO. They're hard if you're doing it properly but there's still that Zanmato which makes pretty much anything easy (Except Dark Yojimbo due to like 5 consecutive battles). My friend killed all the Dark Aeons (except Yojimbo) before he'd even broken the damage limit, just kept restarting and hoping for Zanmato.

Ozma is a whore. I've tried her a few times and never even came close to victory ever. FF9 is my favourite FF game and I find it quite annoying that I've never even come close to beating her.

The Phantom in KH (which appears to be missing from the list) is one of my favourite battles in the whole game. I like how intense it is since you have to constantly try to make your way to the clock to cast Stop (and you're flying, which makes things awkward). What's worse is that you don't get Stopga until after the battle (AFAIK) so you have to settle for Stopra. I love this battle.

Sephiroth in KH... I was about level 80 when I beat him on Normal mode and I really struggle. I'm not really a magic user so I've never really used Aero (and thus never knew what it really did) so I always find him difficult. I might try using Aero next time. I'd like to try him on Hard Mode but I can't even get to him (KH's hard mode is so much harder than KH2's... so much harder).

Sephiroth in KH2... I was only level 60 (or 70... I can't actually remember) when I beat him in Hard mode which was pretty disappointing (though I felt good when I done it obviously). I find him a whole lot easier than KH Sephiroth, but also a whole lot more fun since he actually seemed to do more. It was a fast paced battle and I like that.

I can avoid taking all damage from KH1 Sephy until he does his berserk mode (where he summons the black spheres and fires meteors at you).

Phantom is really easy provide you have the right set up going into the battle (don't bring Peter Pan as he is useless in this fight, goofy should only know MP gift and moves like MP rage), also put blizard, fire, and stop in your quick window, thunder will almost always hit him so you don't have to use it quickly like the other two, and stop is a must every 10 seconds ish.

Ozma is not as bad if you do the happy monster side quest, it actually makes her/him/it? alot easier, not a push over, but MUCH easier.

I could never beat KH Sephiroth, but a friend of mine in 8th grade did it easily. I could never figure it out.

When it comes to Yunalesca, I don't really remember what I did since it was a couple of years ago, but I remember it was pretty easy for me. :/

If you jump at Sephy's left or right sholder (can't remember which) he will miss you with his first strike and allow you to pull of a combo on him easily. Repeat until he uses sin harvest, for which you will one of these (A is the best, C is the last resort)

A-Be close when he uses it and smack him out
B-STRIKE RAID!
C-Ready your elixir

When phase 3 begins he says something and fires either meteors at you (dodge roll around the arena avoiding these things) or the dark balls of death with berserker Sephy, dodge till you get an opening and pound him with one of the two big melee spells (not strike blade or strike raid, the other two).

Where did you get Final Mix+!? Play-Asia?

I don´t really much remember the bosses of FF7 or 10. I haven´t never played 9 and my friend lent me 8 but I didn´t much play it anyway. From KH2, Sephiroth is my favorite. Other bosses are piece of cake or pain in ass. In first KH, facing Heartless Riku alone and Ansem alone took some time.
