Does anybody play Guitar Hero? I'm hopelessly addicted to the original, but level 3 on Hard mode is killing me!

I only played this game once and I suck at it. I can't grasp the concept of multi-tasking, aka strumming the guitar + hitting the buttons at the same time. Haha.

You don't hit the buttons, you hold. Hobohodo Unless it's going fast and your using hammer-ons and pull-offs.

Stairway will or will not make it in due to various things :

-They teased Stairway in the same way they teased Freebird.
-Led Zep are bitches when it comes to licensing their songs.

Personally, there's a few songs I want in GH3...

-Any Yngwie N. Malmsteen song. They are awesome.
-Grapowski's Malmsuite 1001 by Helloween as a hidden track.
-Either Metallica or Thin Lizzy's version of Whiskey in the Jar.

Ah, Guitar Hero. If there was ever a series that's great fun to play with a non-traditional control method, it's this one. I may not be very good on more difficult settings, but it sure is fun.

There's some songs I want, but I know they won't EVER put them in. Namely, Me and My Gang, Life is a Highway, and Here's to You by Rascal Flatts, Slow Turnin' and Stupid Boy by Keith Urban, Southern Hallelujah, Honky-Tonk Badonkadonk, and Rough and Ready by Trace Adkins...

IMHO, if they came out with a special Country Guitar Hero with an acoustic guitar-shaped controller, I'd buy it.

Anyways, I have both Guitar Heroes. I got the first one as a Christmas gift a year or few ago, and I'm still using that controller for the second one. I'm a Hard-skilled player trying to transition into Expert.

I started the game on Hard mode when I first bought it, and I beat it by the end of the next day. I've been meaning to sell it, but I just haven't gotten around to it.

This game needs more Chicago. I'd be playing it alot more.

I'm having tons of fun on Hard mode. It's where the game actually becomes challenging and requires more than just watching and reacting. I mean, damn, in Hard mode, you really start loving the site of four stars, let alone the hard to get five.

And this will of course carry on into Expert. Heh, awesome.

You wanna know what's a real bitch, the first time you play it? Crazy on You.

I mean, fuck. That solo was so basic in Medium, and then BAM, it comes out of nowhere from Hell in hard mode. I failed in seconds due to the fact that no other song had such fast chords and half-notes (or whatever the white fret notes are called) before that point.

I would've as well, considering it's basically, from what I've seen, Hard mode with more notes. I went from Medium onward, though, so I'd be able to have more of an experience. You know, start from the bottom and work your way up (Easy doesn't count, as that was just an insult).

The notes with white tops are hammer-ons and pull-offs. They got made a lot easier in GH II as opposed to GH (for some reason which escapes me right now, but the basic concept is that you strum on the black-rim topped note, hold the strum bar in the direction you strummed without moving it, and for all of the white-topped notes after that until the next black-rimmed you can simply press the buttons without strumming again.

Mostly because GH2's notes would have been totally impossible under GH1's Hammer-On/Pull Off system, which required quasi-pinpoint precision. Imagine, say, Jordan with GH1's system... UGH.

As some of you might know, there is a way to make your own notecharts, and hack them into the game. I'm currently working on some Phoenix Wright songs to put into the game, the Magical Trick Society covers.

http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7441 (Have to be registered)

When I finish it, I'll try to get a video.
