Sure, why not? Surely there is a game out there someone has played that makes them think it's just weird. Even the most normal looking game can seem 'weird' to others. Whether they're on the consoles or the arcades, doesn't matter. Hence this topic. For me, I think the weirdest game I've ever played is Warau Salesman on the Sega CD. Rather, Mega CD, since that game never left Japan and all I got was a ROM of it. But be damned if I didn't enjoy it. Now I got interested in the anime/manga it's based on... |

SPRUNG! The dating game for DS... It's entirely text based, you win through trial and error selecting the right messages to say to someone to achieve some goal. The novelty wears off in about 6 seconds. Christ it's so trippy and random >.o |

Ever since I read the little warning in the manual for Trauma Center, that game has been completely weird for me. "Please do not attempt any of the operations from this game in real life." Not real surgery? What blasphemy is this?!

Frogger's Adventure: The rescue Seriously, that game is OUT THERE. There's this creepy looking baby frog in a UFO thing that flies around and... makes trees grow or something, there's a woman frog in there that just cant be describe with words it's so bizarre.... I mean, you get the idea. There's also lava and trilobites! |

Conker's Bad Fur Day was weird to an extreme. I can't think of any other game boss where you have to get drunk just so you can piss on fire creatures to put them out, or make a bull eat prunes so he'll crap himself to death. There was this strange game on the SNES where you were just a unicycle racing other unicycles. Don't remember the name, though. The WarioWare games are definately strange, unique and just plain weird all at the same time. |

Hmm. Baten Kaitos was pretty weird. Especially that one continent with the towns that were like, made out of cake and storybooks and the upside-down garden...well, the rest of the game was a standard RPG. But that continent was whack... |

I always liked Gitaroo-Man more that PaRappa and Um Jammer Lammy, I have no idea why I always group the 3 games together either. They all just seem very similar to each other. |

(The daughter, Ririka had a Karaoke singing game that was only in the Japanese version...they removed that in the USA version  )

Erm... well... where do I start? Most of it would be from the early 80s and the 8-bit days, you just got some weird concepts back then... Q*bert - strange jumping schnozz type character avoiding balls, snakes and aliens, who swears when he dies. Crystal Castles - collect gems avoiding mutant trees and killer bees. Mappy - mouse policeman attempting to capture thieving cats. Pooyan - control the pig to shoot down wolves on balloons. I could go on... though there is one programmer whom I should make note of here... Jeff Minter! If some of you decide to check out Ancipital, Sheep in Space, Revenge of the Mutant Camels, Batalyx... then you'll wonder what he was on. And finally Hover Bovver, the world's only lawnmowing "simulation"! |

I found Nastar (AKA Rastan Saga II) to be a pretty weird game too. Granted, it's not an excellent game. But the artstyle is so weird and out there that I ended up falling in love with it despite the bad gameplay. |

I'm rather surprised that no one has said Killer7. An amazing game as well as one of the strangest I've ever played? Definitely. Likewise, No One Can Stop Mr. Domino is high up on that list as well. Such a weird game. |

Ah i wanna play cho aniki (probably buy it soon) but this is tough since i like out there games. Title wise I'd have to say BOBOBO-BOBOBOBO 87.5 are you serious party battle RPG adventure. Just so you know there weren't 87 before it if u couldn't guess. A fun RPG my favorite move is "that's so super fist of the nose hair attack from the 6th world!" (i'm not kidding thats a move!) |
