What was your first system growing and it can include game too.

When I was younger I was really broke growing with just my mom, so the only time I got to play any video games was at a friend's house or at any of my cousins' houses. My first ever system would have to be either a Gameboy(first) or a Playstation 1.

Ahahah! First dedicated one we owned was a PS2 but we'd both been PC gamers to some extent before that.

I am very old indeed however, so I remember the days before computers and Atari gaming boxes :)

NES. I can't really say first game since we had a good amount from as long as I can remember. I'd play Super Mario Bros./Duckhunt, Super Mario Bros. 3, A nes soccer/volleyball game, SNK baseball, and Kirby's Adventure all the time though. Fun times.

SNES was the first I played (at my cousin's house), and the first I owned was N64, and two Gameboy Colors.

First game I remember owning is Super Mario 64 and Starfox 64, and bootleg versions of Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow and Gold. XD (I was, like, 8? back then, I didn't know they were fake... XDD )

I don't know what game I first played but it was probably a Power Rangers game...

I wonder if my aunt still has that SNES... I'm afraid to ask her, though :/

The Nintendo Entertainment System, having gotten it way back in 1983. Not only did we get Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt, but we got Wrestlemania too.

Ah, good memories. I shared a lot of my childhood with the NES... when I wasn't done other things, of course.
Re: First game console, system, whatever you want to call itTopic%20Title

A PC.

Which I played from time I was 4 years old, got my first console when I was 8, a Nintendo 64 with Ocarina of Time and Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire.

Well, PC really. We had a bunch of lame games for it. I remember playing Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets...

However, my first thing besides that was a Playstation 1. My first game was Gundam Battle Assault 2.

A Game Boy Color, with Conker's Adventure and Mickey's Racing Adventure.

(Though I'd played games on the PC before that)

Technically, it's the NES...but it wasn't mine.

So therefore, I would consider the Sega Genesis as my first console with Sonic the Hedgehog as my first game.

This brings back memoires.

The first console I ever played on was Master System with Sonic The Hedgehog built into it.

The first console that I owned was the Mege Drive. Playing the Sonic games, Comix Zone, Dr Robetnik's Bean Mean Machine and Zombies Ate My Neighbours (needs a Virtual Console Release).

Then had a PS1 which came with Ridge Racer. Remember playign Rayman and Crash Bandicoot a lot.

I then saved up some money for the N64 which came with Stars Wars Race Pod Game (forgotten it's proper name ^^'). I still own my N64 since playing games like F-Zero, Pokémon (when it use to be good), Mario 64, Mario Party and many more!

Lol. My mom used to play video games with me and still will on occasion. She loves the Mario Kart and Mario Party games. Back when we would play the NES, she would love to play Super Mario Bros. with me. She would call his fireballs "spitballs." She assumed that he was shooting them from his mouth. XD

My older brother used to own an Atari 2600, which I never paid any mind to. Then he sold it and got a Sega Genesis, which I would always play rental video games on. I would also beg my older brother to help me play it. I can only imagine how irritating I sound as a five-year-old. I was also influenced by the NES my baby-sitter owned. I would sit and watch it awe as the older kids played it and I would always imagine myself one day being a master of video games. But, alas, I was too young to play efficiently at the time so I was paid no heed.

The first console I actually owned and grew up with was a Super Nintendo that came with Super Mario All-Stars+Super Mario World. Then my older brother's friend gave me a bunch of games that he didn't play anymore. Also, I grew up with the Nintendo 64 and Gameboy "brick". The latter one was a gift from my step-mom and it came with Tetris 2. Needless to say, I was hooked and played it everywhere whenever I could.

My Nintendo 64 was the first game console I actually bought with my own money. I saved up my $5 allowance for a whole year to buy it (I was 8 at the time) and even got Super Mario 64 with it (which still has a place in my memory as a truly awesome game). Then for Christmas that year (this was 1997, a full year after the console was released) I got Star Fox 64 and Diddy Kong Racing as gifts. I was psyched! Not only did I have a new-age video game console, but also two incredibly fun game to play with. Too bad that whenever I lost I would scream bloody murder at the TV because I could never win. That aspect ruined a part of my childhood.

So, the key factors that introduced me to the world of gaming were Super Nintendo, Gameboy "brick", and Nintendo 64 (which still remains one of the greatest video game consoles of all time). I could go on and on about my childhood video game experience but you wouldn't be interested so I'll stop here.

So, there you go! A brief overview of my history with video games. All that's left I can say is, "Long live Nintendo, the undisputed king of gaming!"

I wish my parents weren't born in the 50s. :( Bastard...my parents would never play video games with me (I couldn't think of a single person who would back then) so I was always the "left out" one. My dad finds Wii Sports Golf fascinating, though.

I grew up playing Super Nintendo but my brother was a greedy asshole when it came to his consoles. So I hardly got to play play station and on some occasions, not allowed to play n64. My first hand held system was gameboy. My first console was gamecube(by that I mean the one I own.)

I first picked up a Gameboy Original (AKA the Gameboy Brick) when I was about eight. I got an N64 shortly after that.
I wish my parents were gamers. I think people who've been playing the NES since they were 2 are so cool.

SNES with Super Mario World. I shared it with my brother, but after a while our parents made us sell it at a yard sale. I didn't get another console until I was able to buy an Xbox with my own money.
