Has anyone else encountered this while playing There's a player, all black like a sillouette, who doesn't have any animation, is invincible, and hacks everything so it lags and the player can kill anyone instantly? I did... and let me tell you, it SUCKED. I hate hackers in games... it just ruins the fun for everyone else

I suppose it depends on the hacks. If they're hacking a map, like playing on Half-Life 2 levels, or if they're adding anti-gravity, friendly fire or always critical for everyone, then once every so often I like the change of gameplay. If the hacks are bias to one person (the hacker) who exploits the game in their favour, infinite HP, walk through walls, run at high speed, enter the spawn point and kill the enemy as soon as they spawn, then they suck and I'd leave almost instantly. |

I'm intrigued. Right now though, I'm wondering what the benefit of using it is. Clearly, the downside is its lack of ammo, and the encouragement of getting the Sniper to get closer to his targets. However, I'm not entirely clear what the plus side is that would encourage people to use it instead of the rifle. I guess we'll find out... On the plus side, perhaps this means that the Sniper Update is nearly upon us?

"one-second charge for full power shots." That's FAST for oneshotting engineers, snipers, scouts, spies, medics, you know. And uh, ammo is not really a drawback. I think the drawback will be that the arrow isn't instant, but has a travel time similar to the Sandman's ball. There you have your reason to get closer. |

Okay, that makes sense. I'm exceedingly terrible as sniper (can't do precise aiming to save my life) so I don't really have much experience playing with him. But yeah, I guess the fast charge up would be a nice plus. Should be interesting. I'll probably wait to try playing as Sniper for a while after the Update comes out though, cause you know everyone who has the game is gonna immediately run on there to start trying to get their new unlockables. |

Uh, yeah. It'll be pretty horrid. I think they said though that they didn't want to make the unlockables tied to achievements again, so maybe you won't need them this. It'd be for the best. |

Medic achievements are bullshit, also encouraging not to be credit to team. They're the only ones worth farming. Rest of the achievements for unlocks are perfectly well obtainable through normal gaming, but come on, killing 5 people while NOT USING AN UBERCHARGE? |

Actually, "Battlemedic" tends to get a lot more fans than any other class... which is dumb since the Ubersaw is somewhat "overpowered" it seems... Or BattleEngie, but the Wrench gets a LOT of crits... Personally, I don't see much benefit in the Bow & Arrow... The SNIPER RIFLE has Optional Charging... but with this, it's MANDATORY... Unless they expect us to believe that the bow & Arrow fires perfectly straight at all times... |

In the Medic Update's defense, the weapons were actually useful. Alright, so there really is no contest when choosing between Blutsauger and the UberSaw, but there's definetely a hard time wondering whether to use Vanilla or Kritzkrieg. |

The Second Update! Alright, I have an opinion on EACH of the 3 things here: 1. Great, now everyone will go as either Scout to push the cart faster, or Demo to blow up everyone around the enemy cart... Currently, it seems like a bad idea but then again, Watchtower seemed kind've bad originally... 2. Who wants to bet this stage was added JUST for the "Foul Territory" achievement? ![]() ... Okay, seriously though, I like this stage idea... they have a new "Weather Effect" they are using, and finally, we have a level where more can kill besides "Cliff Drop 1 Hit Kills", "Crushing Roofs in Egypt", and "Clumsily falling to death"... I look forward to fighting in this one! 3. Okay, THIS might make the whole "Stun your opponent and cause an environmental death" thing a bit TOO easy. The arena looks pretty good, actually, but I'd prefer if it was a "Control Point" or "Payload" map so that once you win the Doomsday Device activates or something... Hmm... Maybe in the future. Heh...

I'm really looking forward to the double payload map. That seems like it'd be a lot of fun. Not so much the arena ones, 'cause I don't like arena mode that much. I do hope Nucleus gets retooled for a different type of gameplay sometime in the future though. Doomsday device? AWESOME. |

Yeah, they both look great. I've always hoped for a cp_lumberyard myself. Arena isn't that bad if you play it on a server with 16 people or so. You can have long streaks of doing nothing if you die early AND have to sit out after. |

Finally a map with Weather. Should be interesting. Also the Huntsman. Thoughts? That doomsday one looks AMAZING. Can't wait for the Sniper update. Later today or tomorrow should be another weapon, and/or achievements. |

*beats Wrestle to the punch* The new update, the Razorback, seems to be a defense against backstabs primarily, though all the flavor text seems to me to indicate that it may have other uses. I guess we'll see. Also the people on the Steam forums are all whining about how broken it is - but bizarrely there are people whining that it's unfair to spies and also others saying that it is not a good unlockable for the Sniper and is worthless. What. Someone remind me not to go back there. Peoples is nuts. |

At the moment, it'll send you to the newest updated page, so in 2 days, it'll send you to Day 5. Heh... (I edited my previous links to fix that. Alright, now for my opinion on it: An okay idea, actually, but... is it concealed? I mean, let's face it, anyone can probably just SHOOT the Sniper now... But this WILL make things fun for Spies, in a sense... Heh... |

Bah. Single-class counters are never a good idea. After the awesome Huntsman, I imagined there'd be something cooler than something that's taken straight from a bad unlockable suggestion thread on the Steam forums. Bleh. |

In my opinion, if a Sniper uses the Razorback, it says that they don't trust their own team to actually Spy-Check, to the point where they feel they need to use up one of their "Item Spots" for something that slows them down... ... But at least we get to see the new animations are for The Spy, pertaining to him being shocked, and him waiting for his knife to cool down. ![]() One last thing... It's "10,000 Volts" that the Spy recieves... but... he doesn't die AUTOMATICALLY!? I wonder how much damage it delivers to a Backstab-Happy Spy... |
