its not that hard people, lets discuss this in a CIVIL manner. discuss NOW!  EDIT: After giving Sonic Riders a chance, I like it more because its challenging and seems more intense in my eyes. However, Mario Karts got that classic feel of nostalgia and that is great. Detective Damrons Final Verdict: Get both theyre equally awesome.

Mario Kart wins easy. I played both games, and I found Sonic Rider's control to be QUITE bothersome. It was slippery, and the entire "run to a recharge spot" drawback was annoying beyond belief. |

I've never played Sonic Riders, but I'm willing to bet Mario Karts a hundred times better, considering Sonics recent track record. But neither will ever live up to the original Crash Team Racing on PS1 in my eyes. Everyone I played it with agreed it kicked Mario Karts butt. |

Mario Kart: Double Dash!! hands down. Lots of variation and fun tracks to race on. I'm super-reluctant to even touch a Sonic game these days. They just seem to lack something that the old games had. Maybe it's the overly huge supporting cast or the way it's strayed from the original speed-platforming formula. |

Unlike Sonic Riders, Mario Kart actually lets you steer around a tight bend withour going into an uncontrollable slide. Sonic Riders could have been great, but the bad controls just ruined it for me. Here's hoping they're fixed for the sequel. |

mario kart is best for multiplayer, but for some reason, i like sonic riders single player mode better. |

I compared these two because after playing sonic riders at least to me it was way better than mario kart. Maybe its the music maybe its the intensity and the rush i feel when i play it. I just dont get that from mario kart. I NEVER got that rush like i did from Sonic Riders. To andrx a game going THAT fast is bad with a 4 split screen multiplayer lol. |

For me, I like MK:DD better than SR (and I don't even own the game!). I like SR, but it can never live up to the Mario Kart series. Ever. |

I also thought that double dash multiplayer was better in the sence of the whole driver-passenger thing. My brother and i always play that way and it requires some teamwork, making it a much better multiplayer experience. |

Oh, this is hard. Um, well Mario Kart is easier on my eyes. When I pull away from the monitor after playing Sonic Riders, I begin to tear from the light change (andrx, you know what I mean). After playing Mario Kart, my eyes don't have trouble adjusting. I like them both equally. :D No I do not play in a dark room. XD |

The Mario Kart series will always have a RAINBOW ROAD stage in all the special cups. Now that is something different that Sonic Riders does not have.

meh, Mario kart is infinitely better. Sonic riders just never seemed that great. Average but nothing spectacular. |

Mario Kart. Played Sonic Riders, couldn't beat the final stage, got bored, went back to Mario Kart. Double Dash was the MK game I played the least, but it was still fun. The Special Items were a nice touch, as well. In short, MK will always be better than SR. In my opinion anyway. |

from what i've heared, mario kart wii will have online, and sonic riders zero gravity won't that will seal the deal for making MK the overall better series, but sonic riders will always have a place in my heart |

Not exactly, Gears. I played multiplayer a lot with my brothers, and I just couldn't get into it as much as I could MK. It was just... too wonky, if you know what I mean. |

I like ToS as well, but this is a bit offtopic. Kart will always pwn Riders. ALWAYS. Though I will still admit that DD is the weakest link, to me that is. I know that some people felt 64 was (or was that only a few people?) |
