EDIT: After giving Sonic Riders a chance, I like it more because its challenging and seems more intense in my eyes. However, Mario Karts got that classic feel of nostalgia and that is great.

good point(s). it is true that sonic riders moves at a much faster pace. that's the kind of thrill i seek in single player mode, but like u said, when it is split screen, it's harder to play.
I also thought that double dash multiplayer was better in the sence of the whole driver-passenger thing. My brother and i always play that way and it requires some teamwork, making it a much better multiplayer experience.

Um, well Mario Kart is easier on my eyes. When I pull away from the monitor after playing Sonic Riders, I begin to tear from the light change (andrx, you know what I mean). After playing Mario Kart, my eyes don't have trouble adjusting. I like them both equally. :D

that;s because sonic riders requires much more focus on what's happening than mario kart

Played Sonic Riders, couldn't beat the final stage, got bored, went back to Mario Kart.
Double Dash was the MK game I played the least, but it was still fun. The Special Items were a nice touch, as well.
In short, MK will always be better than SR. In my opinion anyway.

Though I will still admit that DD is the weakest link, to me that is. I know that some people felt 64 was (or was that only a few people?)
