Simple question, wadsyafavdev? Mine: Defunct - Clover Studio; the creators of 3 of the best titles from the last generation, Viewtiful Joe, Okami, and God Hand. Looking Glass Studio/Blue Sky; developers of the Ultima Underworld series, the System Shock series and the Thief series. Black Isle Studios; developers of the Fallout series, Planescape: Torment and the Icewind Dale series. Troika; developers of Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura and Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines. Human Entertainment; developers of the Clock Tower series, the Firepro Wrestling series and the SRPG, Epica Stella. SUDA 51 worked for them before forming GHM, under Human he released the 'Syndrome' trilogy. Currently Active - Atlus; developers of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, and publishers of hundreds of niche titles that would have never seen an English release otherwise. Grasshopper Manufacture; the company of unparalleled genius, SUDA 51. Responsible for Flower, Sun & Rain, Killer7, The Silver Case and the upcoming No More Heroes. Cing; developers of the mediocre Glass Rose, the quite decent Another Code: Two Memories and the timeless Hotel Dusk: Room 215... they are also working on an upcoming Wii game called King Story. LucasArts; point and click Adventure royalty, these fuckers made everything... including the eternal classic, Grim Fandango... a game in desperate need of a sequel. ;_: Capcom Production Studio 1; developers of the Monster Hunter series, they also worked on some other low-key franchises, but those don't really matter. Level 5; the developers of the Dark Cloud series, as well as Rogue Galaxy, Jeanne d' Arc and the next entry in the Dragon Quest series. They're also making a nifty looking PSTriple game known as White Knight Story. tri-Ace; the developers of the Valkyrie Profile series, the Star Ocean series and the unfortunately forgotten Radiata Stories. Quantic Dream; pretentious French studio responsible for Omikron: The Nomad Soul, Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy and the upcoming PS3 exclusive Heavy Rain. Team ICO; the creators of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus, the poster boys for the "games are art" movement. Funcom; a Norwegian studio responsible for The Longest Journey series, they also produced a fucktonne of shovelware, but the TLJ makes up for that. skip LTD; creative geniuses behind the Chibi-Robo franchise. Double Fine Productions; Tim Schafer's company, they made Psychonauts. Nippon Ichi Soft; Japanese studio responsible for a dozen or so SUPER KAWAII DESU NE ^___^ tactical RPGs that all look like PS1 games and involve large amounts of grinding. And yet, you'll never find quite so fun... |

HAL Labs, although a second-party for Nintendo, and Valve. And Blizzard. You have to congratulate a developer who has only had top-notch games uptil now. |

Nintendo is hands down my favourite, if only for Mario (platforming, kart and RPG/Paper serie). Second goes to Square for Final Fantasy and Valkyrie Profile. I also have a soft spot for Capcom (Phoenix Wright , Street Fighter) and Konami (Castlevania , Contra) |

Square didn't make Valkyrie Profile. -_- You should be able to tell that from the fact that it's actually a good game. |

Um... I guess...iNiS, Capcom, and Nintendo. I don't pay much attention to who makes which game and could care less. I play games to play games, not to give an appraisal of the companies that develope them. All I care about are the games. But then again, isn't that what we all care about the most? |

No... It's not about the games, it never has been, it never will be. Anyway, assuming one does only care about the games, then the developers should be of great concern to you. After all, your precious games would not exist without them. :S |

Still, I don't base my game-buying decisions on developers alone. Never have, never will. |

So many Lucasarts, and every forgets DoubleFine T___T FYI, the best of your precious point-and-clicks are the brainchildren of Tim Schafer; and Tim Schafer ain't with LucasArts anymore people! Another is (now defunct) Oddworld Inhabitants (although they're supposed making an animated film for debut next year, or something). |

Byakko wrote: So many Lucasarts, and every forgets DoubleFine T___T Might want to take a look at my post, idort. ;) I was considering including Oddworld Inhabitants because all of their games have been amazing, but I simply can't forgive them for ditching the games industry the way they did. Oh, and I missed another onw; Eric Chahi... he made Another World, and Heart of Darkness. Both of them being the most deliciously cinematic platformers you'll ever play. |

Ok I should had said Enix for the original game but that's part of Square now And the sequel was made post merger and kicked even more butts than the original.
