Squall from FFVII, as well as Seifer.

From the SNES years, what was, at THAT time, called Final Fantasy III (Now VI), Setzer. He made gambling look cool!... Then Sony made him annoying in KHII... But also Shadow, and Kefka. That laugh of his was just funny as heck.

I guess Zidane from IX, ans Vivi, and... Wakka from X.

Oh! And Selphie from VIII as well.

Balthier (FFXII)
Larsa (FFXII)

Females:
Rikku (FFX *hot stuff!!!! *shot**)
Tifa (not character-wise, but gameplay wise (FFVII))
Ashe (Same reasons as Tifa... probably wouldn't be if she didn't have that attitude. :( (FFXII))
Rydia (FFIV)

Others:
Chocobos (especially the gold one from VII. It's like Jesus in bird form, he walks on water!!! :O)

Wow, I never seen so much hate for one character in a thread.

The only reason why I placed Irvine in my favorites is because he proves to me as one of the best characters in the battlefield. Excellent stats, limit break, and weapons.

Also, he is somewhat a male version of myself, minus the flirting.

Oh well, he is still my favorite, despite what others think.
