I have one of the original Hologram-y copies of Majora's Mask. And a gold cart Ocarina of Time. Doubt those are really "rare", though. |

No, there were at least 100,000 of them made... Holy Hell wrote: My Bookman's (or is it just "Bookman's"? I'm not sure if it's only local) has one giant cabinet filled to the brim with N64 games., and roughly six copies of Paper Mario and Yoshi's Story. I'm not actually sure if that doesn't mean they're rare though, as this is also a store that had two copies of Nocturne at one point (albeit in 'fair' condition). He's in Italy, hence PAL copies. Paper Mario was a very late PAL release for the N64 and it does command a good price today (although not especially super rare). Always remember, never confuse value with rarity, they don't always go hand in hand ;) |

Hmmm....define rarity on this one.... I'll take a guess...and say Super Smash Bros. 1 If that's not rare, I've got none. |

I wanna add a few more that I can think of off the top of my head. You know what, scratch that, this is just an updated list. Legend of Zelda Wind Waker (got the 1st edition/Gamecube) FFXII Collector's Edition(PS2) (and I'm sure these NES games are rare now since I never hear about them anymore, but I could be wrong...) SNK Baseball 2-in-1 Super Spike V'Ball/Nintendo World Cup Back to the Future Part II & III Batman Jack Nicklaus' Major Championship Golf Kirby's Adventure Metroid Mike-Tyson's Punch-Out! Monopoly Startropics Startropics II: Zoda's Revenge Super Mario Bros./ Duck Hunt Super Mario Bros. 2 Super Mario Bros. 3 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project Tetris Tetris 2 Top Gun Town & Country Surf Designs: Wood & Water Rage Wheel of Fortune Yoshi's Cookie Again, I'm sure some of these are rare, but don't know if all of them are even though they're old..... and I'm sure there are many titles I'm still missing. All the games mentioned too, I own the original boxes they came in, plus the original instruction guide. |

Holy Hell wrote: However, in gaming, they might as well be. Depends... I could rattle off a whole list of games that are not rare but sell for high amounts (due to demand, see many Square RPGs for SNES) and games that are rare that don't sell for much (see many hard to find PS1 titles that people don't know about). @Chikikyo - I've got all nine software titles for the 64DD and the keyboard here. Prices on them defo have gone up in the last year or two, so good job I got most of it ages ago... |

What the hell does that mean? I just bought Lunar Eternal Blue Complete yesterday at Bookman's for forty five bucks. Still in its original packaging and wrapped. Yeah, I was kind of wondering that. Also, whatever this Bookman's is, I want one to open up near me. As for rare...I owned Persona 2 for awhile. ... (No, I don't want to share why it's no longer in my possesion.) |

Ah, Mischief Makers, Mystical Ninja...an idiot ex-friend of mind had a lot of these old games. They rocked but I bet he sold them for drug money or something, eventually. =P Um...I DID have a copy of Star Ocean: The Second Story for the PS1. Bought it from a small shop for £20, later brought it into a bigger shop, and the guy was all "WOW! I'll give you £60 for it!". I came back later and it was inside a glass case with all the obscure/old stuff. I guess the only (possibly?) rare game I still own is Azure Dreams. Surprisingly addictive monster-raising, turn-based RPG - I got it as an ex-rental. I'm gonna miss that game when we get rid of our Playstation 2. |

The Bouncer was the first game I got for my PS2, it was a decent brawler, but much too easy, and far too short. I finished it in 3 hours or so, and when I tried to replay it I got a DRE. :/ |

Other than that, I have a decent collection of games that are, I suppose rare but not expensive. Aaand I'm judging "rare" by things that weren't commonly found being sold 2nd hand before the system went out, I suppose. I'm planning on buying Suikoden I + II this spring though; that series is one of my favorites (and Suiko I one of my favorite RPGs period) and I'd live to own all of it Also, not a rare game, but I own the Lunar I/Lunar II official artbook, which is absolutely gorgeous. It's a rare artbook for a game, so it's rather close enough. |

(Yes, I have a taste for obscure games) If he tries to sell the thing I'll have to show him this thread. XD I know there's still a few games on there that he loves. This is the problem with sharing every console we've ever owned. (Apart from our bad luck with electronics...RIP Playstation 2 the 1st and one second-hand NES) |

I loved that game. Duragon C. Mikado's final boss fight was great, and this also had different paths, depending on how certain things occur (the train, the "sneaking into the base", etc.). Great game... but yeah, was very, very short per game completion. |

I'm not sure. I guess the rarest are: 1) The golden NES Zelda cartridge (not sure how rare that is, actually) 2) A limited edition of the first Jack and Dexter game where the CD cover is like those demo games. 3) Some of the other NES games I have (Kibuki: Quantum Fighter, that crash test dummy game, ninja gaiden 2, metroid, super mario 3, mega man 2 and mega man 4, little samson, bart vs the world, ninja turtle 1, battletoads. All I can remember for now.) I'm not a collector, though. I just, you know, play the games. |
