The top screen of my DS Lite is reddish, as if put under a red filter. Blue appears magenta. I have tried changing games, but the problem exists even in the main menu. The only trigger that I can think of was a small splash of water that it recieved a few minutes before the malfunction. When I removed the game pak, a tiny droplet was still clinging to the inside (meaning that the inside of my DS may have been wet).

Does anyone know if this can be fixed?

I was hoping Broken DS was the name of a new video-game. :<

Open the DS and let it air out. Take all games and such out. See if that helps. If not you can order replacement top screens (no joke) from Nintendo with a kit to help remove and replace the old one. I had sweet tea splash on my old DS and the only problem I had was buttons that stick.

For a sec there, I was like "ME 2!"...

Because my DS is broken as well... but it's "physical damage" so until my screen is messed up severely, I can't activate its warranty... sad part: I was just past the first of the 3 years that it covers... and it's my SECOND DS to break....... and it's the same way the first one broke.

My R and L buttons are breaking down on me. I have to blow into the buttons in order for it to work. Like some old N64 game. :(

I'm wondering if I can order replacements on that.....

If there's a warranty, chances are, this is a condition:

It must be something that makes playing impossible (exp., my top screen of my old DS is completely white. I can't play PW, I can't play Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, and other games that involve the top-screen)

You guys play too hard. My sister bought her DS half a year ago and she plays with it like crazy. But all damage remains on the touch screen as little imprints of chafe.

When my old DS started to show scratches I went and got one of the official Nintendo screen protectors. (I don't want to mess with the off brands.) When I got my lite I transferred the protector to the new DS. It has held up to EBA, both Ouendans, and all the other games that use the touch screen.

Actually, it fell out of my pocket while I was walking down some stairs.

And I bought a cleaner for the screen. :gymshoe:

If we're stating our problems, my DS is broken as well.

In the card game slot, one of the copper wires has bent and come loose. If I slot a game in, not all of the copper wires touch with the ones on the came card, so therefore it can't read games.

If that wasn't bad enough, I can't get it repaired, because I made the mistake of scratching off the verification code on the back (I have fidgety fingers T_T) and gaming console repair stores won't take it without one.

My Stylus is broken. The holding part is missing the small "bump" that keeps it inside the DS' shell, so I bent it slightly as a "substitute" for it... it works nicely.

My DS is flashing me with white screens more and more lately, but since it is STILL Physical Damage, I am unable to use the warranty. DAMN!...

And the only reason it was in my pocket was because I was carrying stuff downstairs with me on my trip down...
