I first played these games at my cousins house about 6-8 years ago I think. I have 1 and 2 on Virtual Console right now. I love these games, and I have always loved them. Streets of Rage 2 is my one of my favorite beat 'em ups ever.(Only to be passed by TMNT turtles in time which was better I will admit)

Anyway, those are my thoughts on those games, what about yours?

Have you ever played the fan-made Streets of Rage remake? It has updated artwork with multiple paths in every stage, as well as being able to choose all of the characters from all three versions of SoR. It's really sweet.

Beats of Rage(SoR with King of Fighters sprites) was also pretty fun, even though the Angel enemies were REALLY cheap.

Streets of Rage is one of the best franchises ever. The music was the best, and the action/game play was fantastic. part 1 is still my favorite in the series, but I'm a big fan of 3's characters. I wish Sega would release it as a compilation for a console or hand held...having it on the VC was cool, but it's perfect for a compilation release. I always preferred SoR over Final fight, I love Capcom, but SoR did what FF did, but 100x better.

The SoRemake is awesome! One of the best fan made games I've played...it felt like a "real" game...the OCRemix songs were awesome as well, some were even better than the original songs.

Here's the website to the Remake: http://www.bombergames.net/sorr_project/

Those who worked on the project did fantastic work...the game feels really authentic, like Sega did it. I think they even have a link to the soundtrack for the game (I got a few tracks a while back), excellent soundtrack, it really sounds authentic too.

I never played Beats of Rage, so I don't have a link or info on that.

You are amazing. Thank you so much. :D

Edit:Actually it's not working. I downloaded it, and I try to start it up, and it's saying that it's missing a file that's in the download, even though I clearly see it there.

I have the same problem with Imperishable Night.
