Say you had a thread that not only required an edit, but a bump to show that there was an edit. Seeing as post deletion is not an option, would double posting be the next solution? Or is that still frowned upon?

If it's your own thread, then, where the "Quote" button should be, there's the "Bump" botton in the first post.

But, if there was an update, you should either post again or edit your latest post.

As it's presented, it falls under justifiable thread necromancy. Either method is alright, insofar as it doesn't become a habit, of course.

I don't seem to have one at the moment either. It COULD be because up until I post this particular message, we'd both be at the "suspect" rank. I know members can't make topics in certain subforums until they reach 50 posts, for anti spam reasons. It could be the same with the bump button. I'll go check my thread again after I post this, since this would be my 50th post.

*edit*
Nope, still no bump button. Consider my theory disproved. >__<

I see you are using the primitive and inferior internet browser known as Internet Explorer.

Use a newer, better browser. IE8 is not fully compatible with the new site theme nor will it ever be, because it's a dated piece of crap that ignores web standards. :D

Have fun with this instead.

Mrf. My Firefox has been such a pain running java scripts so many times that this site usually does end up looking better in IE most of the time, which is quite sad.

Update your Java then, Dulla? :P

I think Java 6 is up to Update 17 so far. It gets new versions fairly often actually.

I did. Even to the point of uninstalling/reinstalling both the program and the browser, but the problem still persisted. I ended up just going with Chrome. So far, no problems for me and it migrated everything I had from FF to Chrome, which was nice.
