Just curious, how do you become a moderator?
I heard that it was a special group, but that's it.

Edit: Oh...you get hired, or something. Never mind.

Now, the latest issues rise up...

1. Why is the Quick Reply section is now not a quick reply anymore? We have to use Reply instead.
2. Why some users's av and/or sigs appear stretchy one moment, then okay again, then next is stretched in another manner?
3. I was comfortable that the users actual posts (after excluding topics like Berry Big Circus ones) were only viewable by the user from the UCP page. But why now other users are also able to view it? I suggest that to be reversed.

Post subject:  Re: FAQ

If you click the "members" button at the top of the page you can sort all the users by post count in a list so it doesnt really matter. (I like the post counter personally.)

Purposely deleted the rest of my reply as to NOT attract mentioned person to flame me~

It's not a big deal. Whether or not someone post's more than you means nothing. It's just a nice little thing to have. Nothing to get your pantaloons in a bunch over. :gymshoe:

Right. I mean, I personally like the counter a lot (although it's more because I'm lazy and don't want to go to my UCP to check my post count :nick: ). As for the Quick Reply not working, though, I only find that it screws up when I'm on the network at school. Other than that, it works fine.
EDIT: Spoke too soon. Now my quick reply's screwed up...although it's not that bad, I guess. At least it redirects you to the actual reply section.

Here is a question that must be answered!!!!!!!!!

How do you name urls?

When you post a url you can put text over it like "here".
How do you do that?

I just realised that in 'Fanart Thread on the Court Records Forums' link on the Image section (yes pals, the button picture here is a link) still uses the link from Present Evidence of the old forum board (yep, the one BEFORE migration) as follows:
Code:
http://z11.invisionfree.com/court_records/index.php?s=6abe8c8e3d50969a55481c392f4b8f42&showforum=3
So, isn't this misleading....?

One more thing, if a member donates... will he/she able to get back the Ace Attorney rank instead of Donor rank?
If no..... ;_;

Post subject:  Re: FAQ

Yeah, I gotta fix that link...

If you donate but don't want to be labeled a donator, that's fine. But we're not accepting donations at the moment.

Can you talk about music in any section here, or did you guys just consider there's no need for that here?

General music (like actual band music) can go in Wright & Co.

Please forgive my lack of knowledge concerning the internets, but what exactly is an "OTP?"

OTP = One True Pairing.

I believe it stands for ORIGINAL, TRUE PAIRING. Like :gymshoe: und :salute: für immer~
Actually, that term is only used in Court Records Forums... on the Internet itself, it means On the Prowl.

Is there any way I can change my gender?
D: When I registered, I forgot to change it to female.

Author:  GavinnerRock [ Sun Mar 02, 2008 3:35 am ]
Post subject:  Re: FAQ

Yup it's simple:
1.Click User Control Panel
2. Click Profile
3. When it comes up you'll see your gender thing and you can just pick girl, hit submit and ta-da!

Post subject:  Re: FAQ

I've tried fixing it, but it doesn't show up when I go to the UCP :P

EDIT: Nevermind. I guess I had to change the lay-out in order to get the option. :P

Would it be okay, if I or anyone did a general sprite topic to the "Present evidence >> Sprites" forum? Anybody with only a couple of sprites could post their sprites there, without the need of making a separate topic for them.

Edit: So I decided to make the thread already. Lock it if you don't like the idea... :meekins:
I hope I don't cause too much trouble for you. I really do. :accordion-head:

How do you multiqoute people?

You respond to one qoute by one person, then you respond to another qoute by a different person.

After quoting the first person, copy and paste the next person's message into your post, then put quote tags on it.

How do you put the name of the person that you are qouting? I've tried to put the equal sign and the person's username that I am qouting, but it doesn't work.

You put the person's name in inverted commas. Eg: [quote="Bleachlover"]

Spoiler:
Not inverted commas... it's called quotation marks.

*facepalm*

It's not that difficult to figure out that different parts of the world can call them different things... and actually "inverted commas" is a pretty accurate description of what they are.

Yes. In programming, the wrong punctuations give you syntax errors. In this case, putting ' ' is NOT THE SAME AS PUTTING " "

Thank you, my friend, for pointing it out for me. =p

For more details, languages such as Java, C# and probably C/C++ as well, read stuff encased in ' ' as datatype char and stuff encased in " " as datatype string. And while a string can be considered an array of char values, the native, inherent definitions of each datatype are different enough to warrant distinction between the two. </technogobbledegook>

True. Still Darzie P used an example where he used the quatation marks. That made it pretty clear at least to me.
