Those edits were ridiculous, why even take anime if you want to change so much. Leave it to Funimation or Viz.

I'm ready for the flames and people calling me crazy but I have to say it. The 4kids voices were better. Now I'm not saying their edits were amazing I'm saying I thought they did a better job with the voices. If I wanted to listen to ryusuke I'd watch BECK and if I wanted to listen to piccolo or krillin I'd watch DBZ. Why can everyone at funimation only do one voice? Listen to hiei then android 17 and then listen to chiba, yusuki and Radditz. I could be here forever listing people.

I, for one, absolutely loved the original voices. They were cartoony and comedic, just like One Piece.

You're certainly welcome to your opinion, but if I had to listen to one more moment of Sanji sounding like Tristan Taylor from Yu-Gi-Oh on crack taking a cheese grater to my ears, I would've flipped out and murdered 4Kids with a shotgun. (Especially because Sanji's my favorite. T_T) I had no problem with the DBZ voices; in fact, it was sort of nostalgic for me. I can see where you might be tired of them, though.

New tony tony chopper is abysmal literally. I can't bring myself to type he with the new voice but I have to. His voice doesn't even change when he transforms. Also usopp is supposed to be goofy and cartoony and now well all I can think is KRILLIN. Sanji used to have such a schmuck voice which I loved! Now the new sanji is oh it's terrible. As for luffy I don't know where to start I used to think with the old 4kids voice he was you know like a teen boy not quite seventeen but still I did. The new voice makes me think he's a twelve year old girl. I miss the 4kids voices.

I agree, but it changed only a tiny bit in the JP version anyways... 4kids changed it from almost-girlike to deeper than many men. o_0


I get that vibe more from Usopp's new voice... Well, kind of. 4kids' Usopp made me which of an immature adult that never grew up other than in size. >_> Not even the voice changed. *cough*

Sanji was one of the few English people I'd need a translator for... Very few.

I think this Luffy actually sounds older. I didn't hate his voice before, but I don't notice any significant change at all...

Just get used to it and you'll hate 4kids voices like everyone that saw the JP version first. >_>
