Throughout Evangelion, we see the Evas stripped of thier armor in various places due to battle damage. Strangely though, we never see the bare feet of one. Judging from what we see in ep.3

I'm guessing one of three things: a.) human feet, b.) feet that have been genetically modified to fit in the shoes, or c.) the feet being replaced by implants (like how the Plug Entry System works), the prospect of which is even more chilling.
