No blood? No alcohol? WTF?! I just assumed it wasn't too bad. But after seeing the Japanese version, I was pissed. 4Kids made Usopp the comic relief! NOT COOL! Second Sanji sounds like a sick taxi driver. And what's worse is they skip all the major events!!!!!
I just about gave up on it when I recently saw the Funimation dub.I was checking to see how far the story was, first thing I saw was Nami's cleavage. I thought (oh they must've over looked that.) Then when Usopp spoke, something was different, his voice sounded excellent! He didn't sound like a 39 year old who's voice just broke, he sounded goofy in the best possible way!! I then knew it was the somewhat "dirtier" version. My little fangirl heart was pleased!!
So, how do you guys feel about the subject??

When I think about it, Nami is like the viewer. She voices what people would normally say in most of the cast's situation.

Usopp's new voice actor played Krillin on DBZ. Funny considering they're both the weakest yet one of the most important characters. And thank god Sanji doesn't sound like a sick taxi driver anymore!

So yeah if you noticed, they still had to edit out certain things and keep other stuff left from the 4kids dub due to Cartoon Network's policies...

Well, I haven't seen the Funimation dub of One Piece. I'll have to get on that. The station that used to show the 4Kids dub cancelled it around the Wapol part, so I couldn't watch any more of it on TV.

None of the voice actors really appeal to me, but I got to say it's a HUUUUUUUUUGGGEE improvement to the original.
Although, I wish they switched over sooner so I could see some more Vivi cleavage. Sigh...can't win everything.

In other words, I'm somewhat disappointed with the new voices, boring intro, etc.
I'm not gonna lose sleep over it though, too busy being irritated on how Sonic went from AoStH to Sonic X. >_>

I know plenty of good anime that don't ooze gore and alcohol, so I won't say One Piece is bad for that. I'm just more of a ninja than a pirate XDD

I was extremely disappointed in the fact they cut out the episode where Usopp duels to get his new goggles. All because Usopp was "Comic Relief" *rolls eyes*
