This animated film was based on the autobiographical graphic novel by Marjane Satrapi. It's about a young girl growing up in the Iranian Revolution, and becomes avidly interested in music like the Bee Gees and Iron Maiden, which are considered rebellious. She is sent to Austria in the Iran-Iraq war, and her adventure progresses into early adulthood.
It was nominated for the Academy Award for best animated film.
I have yet to see the entire movie, but it looks stunning, and it's captured my interest. Anyone else seen it?

I saw it a while ago, like, months ago, and I really loved it.

Technically speaking, it is very basic, but the story really is worth it, very touching too, and on top of that, it is autobiographic.

No, but I want to. We've read the graphic novel in my English class, so I'd love to see it. (We were actually trying to convince our English teacher to take us on a field trip to see it. But he said no)
