I love this series. So much.

The basic premise is that Nanoha Takamachi is a normal girl: she has two loving parents, a brother and sister who get along great, two best friends, and gets great grades. Then she meets a talking ferret named Yuuno who gives her a jewel called Raising Heart and tells her she has to find the 21 Jewel Seeds, artifacts of great power that in the wrong hands, could destroy the universe.

Yeah. Sounds average, and it is, until episode 4.

Then things get BADASS.

She gets a rival, Fate Testarossa, gathering the Jewel Seeds for her mother. But what does her mother want them for?

It got two sequels, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS, adding more characters, more magic, and more BADASSERY.

Yeah, Nanoha, a nine year old girl, is one of the most BADASS characters on TV.
