Adult Swim announced today that a partnership was struck between Toonami and Production I.G. to co-produce two new 6-episode seasons of FLCL. Though it had been previously announced some time ago that Production I.G. had acquired the rights to the series, I never thought anything would really come out of it aside from maybe a rerelease or a one-shot special, or at the most a remake. Hopefully the sequel can hold up to the original. At the very least it needs a similar awesome soundtrack. |

Well that's something. I wasn't the biggest fan of FLCL but I thought it was damned unique. |
